We dropped into the Kununurra Information Centre to organise a flight to the Bungle Bungles and Deb couldn't have been more helpful. She exceeded our expectations! Not only did Deb organise our flight (which ran like clockwork with Aviar) but also had fantastic knowledge of the area, current road conditions and places of interest. Deb assured us that it would be safe to drive into El questro (Emma Gorge) in our motorhome rather than hire a 4x4 which we did and had a fantastic day. Thank you so much Deb 👏
Very helpfull staff. We were able to book our flight over the Bungle Bungles. We also enjoyed the sunset Ord River cruise.Fantastic views and very informative.
Super helpful staff. Lots to see and get info on. Really great stop before you book anything else. We ended up doing 5 out of the 6 things they recommended.
All of the girls here were so helpful and knowledgeable - obviously all have a passion for the region. We got so much information on the Gibb River Road and it was invaluable in our planning, particularly the free download booklet they promote. Friendliest and best Visitor Centre we’ve been to!
There are lots of cool stuff to buy here! 😆 Staff are very friendly and provided us a lot of information! Thank you! ☺️
As always, an Australian visitors centre that is helpful and informative. If you are a tourist in Australia and you would like some help with things to do in the local area just go to a visitors centre and ask. I've never been disappointed by one in all the years I've been going to Oz. They are seriously useful. This one is no different.
Well I feel like I must have arrived at the info centre onthe wrong day going by the other positive reviews. The person who served us was disinterested, talked to us like we were to much of an effort and that I was asking silly questions regarding camping on the Gibb River Road. After leaving, my wife said the lady was rude so it wasn't just me. A person at our caravan site felt the same and they visited the centre on the same day. Like I said earlier, perhaps it was just an off day for her. Not a good start for us regardless. Oh we loved our stay in kununurra by the way.
Wonderful service with happy and knowledgeable staff. Deb was our consultant and she was absolutely amazing. She definitely went the extra mile to help us. Congratulations on providing great service

Absolutely stunning national park, beautiful and clear tracks, lots of wild life. Only thing is- watch out for leeches in the top pool. You can see a few waterfalls here and also a cool place to jump off a rock when the water level is high. You’ll need to cross a creek- so wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet.
The Mirima National Park walking track offers a fantastic way to explore the park's stunning landscapes and unique rock formations. The trails wind through lush vegetation and provide breathtaking views of the surrounding areas, including the impressive Mirima Range. Along the way, informative signs highlight the local flora and fauna, as well as the cultural significance of the site. The well-maintained paths cater to various fitness levels, making it accessible for all nature lovers. Perfect for a day of adventure and relaxation!
Easy, well-signed trails located in National Park just outside Kununurra. Great views and walks among the rocks, ridges and native flora. Variety of distance trails all can be completed relatively easily and quickly.
Went at sunset on a Monday evening, walked the short hike to the top of the rocks to see the sunset over the town. It was absolutely lovely and relatively easy. It is $17 per day to enter the park and there is a toilet facility and BBQ area at the bottom of the hike. Lovely cool breeze too. Would recommend having a small picnic on the top too.
Such a lovely place 3 minutes from town. Well kept tracks, nice scenery, peaceful and not too strenuous. It's not the bungles but it's pretty good.
I walked here from the Hidden Valley Kununurra Caravan Park. I went at 6 a.m. to enjoy the morning warmth. I did the big trail, and it took me about 1h30 from the parking lot, including breaks to take photos. I left the campground at 5:45 a.m. and came back at 7:50 a.m.
Absolutely fabulous hikes did all 3 ,two yesterday morning and went back to do the bigger one early this morning as it gets hot take plenty of water.
Awesome spot! Really well done and a great little walk. Definitely worth it.

Great experience in a unique distillery with a fun and relaxed vibe. Public-access distillery area and a nice rustic feel made of all recycled local materials. Great variety of gin and rum drinks, with a variety of tasting paddles. Beer and other cocktails also available. Small menu of lunch and cafe food all seemed great quality. Nice place to spend a relaxed lunch and afternoon. Can get very busy, get there early. Distillery tour closed when we visited.
I'll admit that I am not a liquor aficionado, so for me this visit was more about checking out the Hoochery atmosphere and snacks. Friends tried the tastings and the distillery tour and said they enjoyed both. Located in a repurposed large corrogated shed with choice of inside or outside seating. Plenty of off street parking. Gift shop with souvenirs and plenty of bottled options.
Went for lunch had brisket tacos delicious Crispy chicken bao buns beautiful. Washed down with Mexican style corn beer crisp and tasty and a pink gin and soda very refreshing. Great rustic bar and large beer garden which is dog friendly. Highly recommend for lunch and a refreshing drink.
Nice distillery, we did the tour and highly recommend. Daily at 2pm. Gin tasting is nice. Must try the tray of fries and most importantly chocolate rum cake - it is still made by the original owner despite her age. It's delicious! 💕
Great atmosphere. Do the tour for $20 pay at counter tells you everything about the the process of making the alcohols. Food was good. The rum cake you need to try and the rest of the cakes were good too
Awesome place, staff were very friendly and informative and the rum is delicious 😋. Spend as little as $19 for a taste test or buy as many bottles as you like
I liked one of the gins, but had no information provided by the person behind the counter. If you put someone behind the counter for tasting, make sure they know the product they are providing tasting plates for. Found some.information inside the menu folder. Perhaps it might be beneficial to hand a laminated tasting sheet with each paddle- might result in more sales.
I went to this venue on a weekday with a local who was friendly with one of the staff. Lovely food - we purchased Tacos, Bao Buns and Sidewinders and we shared a Gin paddle. Good portion size. About $85 for the lot. Nicely presented, very welcoming and efficient team. Clean toilets (super important) complete with instructions about closing the lid to stop the frogs going for a swim. Easy parking. It was a hot and muggy day; the seating area near the bar was quite nice - not too hot and tables well spaced. I was in my first 24 hours in the Kimberley and not acclimatised to the weather at all. Other areas of the venue felt much warmer, so it caters for people who like heat and those who don't. Small gift shop selling alcohol and themed merch.

Definitely worth the visit to take in the sunset…short and easy walk to gain access to the lookout although this can get quite crowded during tourist season. For those a little more adventurous try the track / trail from the car park at the back to climb the larger hill for the best views across the whole valley…a few steep steps to get there where the tower is situated.
Great views from the very top. Bit of a climb but not too bad. Don't wait too long after the sunsets as it would be difficult coming down in the dark.
this hill top lookout offer you 360° incredible views over Kununurra township and its surroundings ~ Mirima national park, Ord river, Lily creek lagoon, Elephant rock and Airport etc, especially at sunrise /sunset time. the lower lookout next to car park is also a great spot for sunset if you want to avoid 1.2km steep return hiking. I've visted this site twice during my 3 nights stay in Kununurra, first time by driving and second time by walking from town centre.
Great spot to view the layout of Kununurra. Looks out over the township and out over Agricultural area through to Ranges.
Absolutely do come up here if you’re in Kunnanura. The views are simply stunning. It’s a little bit of a hike to get up but achievable by most. Even if you somewhat lacking in fitness give it a go, take it slow, it’s worth it. From the top you get 360 views out over kunnanura and the Ord river, the landscape is that stunning stereotypical Kimberley landscape. Beautiful!!
What a walk to the top. Totally worth the killer legs the next day for sunset
I thought it would be a great idea for the township to have a lookout that is accessible to all, but alas this is a 1.2km arduous walk and in 39 degrees that’s a no from me.
Great place for a view
