What a little gem of a place. It was Mother’s Day and my husband and I have recently moved to the Marlborough area. As a Mother’s Day treat he wanted to take me out to a few wineries in the area and to be honest Allan Scott was top of my list as i have always wanted to go there. It wasn’t the best experience there and very impersonal as the food platters were not very good and the wine samples are served via a refrigerated sample dispenser. So we tried a few other wineries and Framingham was last on our list. I really truly wish we had gone there first. What an amazing experience. Lilly was the lady who served our samples. A bubbly, knowledgeable and such a friendly lady who made our afternoon so special. We even got to go and pick our own cheeses, relishes and crackers to nibble on in a separate area that we could take back to our table and enjoy. Such a lovely place. I could go on and on, but it’s definitely my number 1 winery in Marlborough and I highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you Lilly, we will be back 🥰
👍 Like my review! Please note that if you are here for a tasting, it will NOT be waived upon a purchase of any wine bottles. This left a bad taste after we purchased a number of bottles from Framingham Wines making us realize if there's even a point to return. However, the wines were overall great, the entrance garden is beautiful, and the area downstairs to see the passion of the owners was astoundingly cool. Those working in the tasting room told us we can play the drums if we wanted to. We would recommend it as an experience for once in your life but don't plan to return anytime soon nor purchase future bottles.
Quirky, Cool, and Full of Heart! Framingham Wines was such a fun and memorable stop. The service was friendly and welcoming, and we absolutely loved exploring the cellar and the band room — their support of the arts adds a unique and inspiring touch to the whole experience. The setting is quirky and cool, with gardens that are full of character and charm. Don’t miss the chance to grab one of their cool pink shirts — it’s a great way to support a good cause while taking home a piece of the vibe. A place with personality, great wine, and a whole lot of soul. Highly recommended!
We visited Framingham Winery for the afternoon with plans to move onto the next place but we had such a lovely time we ended up staying the whole day! Really wonderful service, the staff there are so lovely and take such good care. They have a great knowledge of their produce and production, shared in a very friendly and accessible way. Their Riesling tasting was fantastic as was their self service snack selection. 5 stars all round, highly recommended!
If you only have one day in Marlborough you HAVE to visit Framingham. It makes the best reisling in the region and you must have the reisling tasting. The vineyard is spectacular, the court yard setting offers the best spot in the region to sit relax and enjoy the wine. Will always reccomend to anyone visiting.
Incredible service, atmosphere, and of course, wine. When you live in wine country, the standards are high, and this place delivers. Thank you Tanya for being so knowledgeable and welcoming! I’ll be happy to return soon ☺️
We visited a few different wineries and this was our absolute favourite. It is a smaller winery, more boutique than say Cloudy Bay. The gardens are exceptionally well maintained and there is cellar door seating inside and out if it is a nice day. The staff member who served us was so lovely and very helpful. We tried a selection of whites and found all to be delicious. A personal favourite from Framingham was the Pinot Gris, though the Riesling is more popular I believe. If you are trying a few wineries out in the Marlborough, Framingham is an absolute must do.
Probably my favourite winery in all of Marlborough. The second time I've visited now and these wines are exceptional. The garden setting is unbeatable. Caroline was brilliant and very kind. She really helps make this place tick. If you like Riesling, this is the must-go and all their other wines are also very good. Do not miss this winery!!!!

Great place! We had a wonderful time and tasted some excellent wines. We chose the $16 tasting, which included six wines. We also ordered a small platter with cheese and terrine for $30. Everything was delicious. Special mention for the service – we received great explanations about the wines, and the staff was very friendly. I recommend it 100%!
Personal, Relaxed, and Delicious! Forrest Wines gave us one of the most enjoyable tasting experiences in Marlborough. The team offered personal service with great knowledge and tasting notes, all delivered in a relaxed and unrushed way that made us feel truly welcome. Ordering wine to be sent home was super easy — and reasonably priced too, which was a nice bonus. It’s the kind of place where you can take your time, ask questions, and really enjoy the wines without any pressure. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates a thoughtful and friendly tasting experience.
We are so thankful we stopped here. The staff were incredible. So warm, welcoming, chill and funny. The wines were delicious. They have live music on Sundays and he was great - acoustic covers. There is also a brewery on the property and there are yard games at both. A few food trucks there as well. You won’t be disappointed if you head to Forrest Winery!
Just finished a winery experience here and I cannot say enough about the wine, but especially our hostess, Poppy! She was so sweet and kind and answered every question we had. She had phenomenal recommendations as well. She’s new but you would not know it. She made us feel like we lived or worked at the vineyard as well. It felt like a true family experience and I hope to see her there for many years to come! The wine is, of course, exquisite. It was our favorite stop and we plan on ordering to the states as soon as we get on the plane. Thank you poppy and the wonderful doctors!!
Love it here and we visit often. Only 2 things I wish they would change which are colder fridges and ice buckets. Otherwise staff are lovely and it’s a great spot.
The perfect place to spend a sunny day in a lovely, tranquil surrounding. There is no need to make a booking - you can simply visit during the opening hours and enjoy a glass of wine or some snack. By ordering a tasting tray of 7 wines, you receive an excellent introduction to the styles offered by Forrest. Thanks to that we could choose the one we liked best and buy a bottle for later. The place itself is very inviting, well-maintained, run by friendly and informative staff.
Perfect way to spend a sunny day. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere was so relaxing and inviting. We ordered a tasting flight and the doctors platter and were very pleasantly satisfied. 7 generous tastings, the platter was delicious and the perfect portion for 2. We had a beautiful afternoon here and would absolutely recommend coming by.
Lovely winery with lovely people. One of the workers Jan drove us home due to long waits for the cab. Would highly recommend this winery

We highly recommend the bike2ride hire. Ike & Teresa are lovely and provide great recommendations. We were collected from our accommodation and dropped off later that day. Riding yourself gives you the freedom to explore the wineries at your own pace. The track is very easy and flat, and the map provided is really helpful. We also recommend Fancy Cow for lunch (great food) and Bladen wines was a real highlight.
We came wondering whether there would be a bike for a short adult person of 147 cm, and there was! We were received well, given a map and pertinent infornation, and had a wonderful ride. The bike trails were safely distanced from automobile traffic. Thank you!
The Best Way to Explore Marlborough! Bike 2 Wine made our vineyard-hopping adventure smooth and stress-free. Ike was friendly and super helpful, and the bikes were in tip-top condition — clearly well looked after. Knowing they’d come pick us up or swap out a bike if we ran into trouble gave us great peace of mind. The price was very reasonable, and honestly, with how flat the region is and how close the wineries are, you really don’t need to bother with an e-bike. It’s the perfect way to take in the scenery, enjoy the wine, and move at your own pace.
We didn’t end up hiring bikes because it was raining, but Ike was extremely helpful and accommodating when we cancelled last minute due to the changing weather. He gave us a map and recommendations, even when he didn’t need to. Really appreciated his generosity!
Fantastic hosts! We were given a great introduction to the area including highlights and must visits, and the bikes were perfect. Recommend a tandem for good fun!
Wonderful day to hire a bike from Bike2wine. It was open in winter and Teresa was very helpful with the map and recommendations of where to go. We were not there for wine tasting, just having a great day cycling in the vineyards and had a great lunch at Allan Scott. Beware that path is in the main road though if you are with kids.
Great family-run business and took care of us. Even when we had an issue with our bikes, they came right away to help. Such a great way to experience all the vineyards and get some exercise. And they cater for kids with the sidecar options. Highly recommended!
Good quality equipment and selection. We took a tandem which was fun, allowed to give it a test spin before we committed! Great info on planning our day. Also good value for money.

Bladen wine is outstanding, only surpassed by the most entertaining and informative wine tasting we have experienced. Blair (Son) took us into the vines and gave us a lesson in vine husbandry and the art of choosing when to pick the grapes. The relaxed family vibe makes this a must visit winery when in Blenheim. 6 Stars!!
Five stars just doesn’t cut it! An unforgettable experience at Bladen on the most perfect day. Blair was the most amazing host. We only hope they are willing to host our wedding at some point 👀 The rose, “humble” chilled red and “the sum of us” were standouts. Thanks so much for having us!
Wow, what an amazing experience at this family run winery! A warm welcome from Blair as we arrived, very relaxed and chilled vibe with amazing views. We joined Deni for a wine tasting which was a great blend of telling the history of the winery, seeing the vines themselves and trying their delicious wine. Thanks for sharing your family stories and welcoming us into the vineyard!
What a delightful winery. Lovely and friendly hosts and delicious wine. Definitely worth a visit and a nice change to the bigger winery’s. Get around Bladen Wines.
The walk and talk tasting offered a unique and memorable experience at Bladen Wines. Blair was fantasic and also poured me a free glass of wine on my birthday, grab some chicken epanadas from the onsite food truck and sit yourself in the white loungers out front for the perfect way to end a day of wine tastings 🙌
A unique experience like no other in the valley. A chance to get among the vines and appreciate the hard work that goes in to this family run business. Personally, I wouldn't say their wine stood out for me this time round, but it was still very nice. Then again, had already been to 3x other multi award winning wineries this day. A must do for the experience at the very least. Also a shout out to the food truck doing those lovely empanadas.
Amazing place. Best wines we've tried in a long time, really nice hearing Blair's story of how his parents opened the vineyard and how him & his sister have carried on the family business whilst bringing their own ideas to the table. 10/10 excellent tasting experience
It was absolutely perfect and the wine tour so interesting ❣️❣️.

We were specifically looking for a small, family vineyard to spend an hour and Nautilus came highly recommended. We were not disappointed. Welcoming hostess, tasty wine and a yummy cheese platter and a cozy room. And extremely reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!
Had a fantastic time here and this small family run vineyard. Amy looked after me and was very knowledgeable about the wines. All the wines I tasted were amazing. A must visit when you're in the area
Excellent wines. From sparkling to Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Totally worth it!
Amazing team, Outstanding wine!!! We arrived as they were closing for Christmas and Boxing Day…. BUT, they welcomed us to enjoy a few samples and made us feel right at home! Thank you!!!!
We popped in for a wine tasting on a cold sunny winters day and had an amazing time. We sat by the cosy fire and had a lovely lady tell us about the wines, she really looked after us and made the experience even more special as we were celebrating our friends 30th birthday. We especially loved the pinot Gris, rose, and Sauv B!
Last Sunday my husband, his brother and I called into your beautiful cellar. We really just wanted to sit and enjoy a glass of wine by the fire. This was no trouble to the lovely lady who welcomed us warmly and put another log on the fire. Thank you so much for the hospitality and delicious glass of wine. Sadly we couldn't buy a bottle to take home - carry on luggage only back to Upper Hutt but rest assured next time we are in Blenheim with a vehicle we will certainly go home with a bottle or more. Thank you once again. Judy McMahon
We were specifically looking for a small, family vineyard and Nautilus came highly recommended. We were not disappointed. Welcoming hostess, tasty wine and a yummy cheese platter, a in front of a roaring fire. And reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!
We had the most wonderful tasting experience here. Our host was so friendly and informative, and made it a really special exploration of their award winning wines across different varieties.

Had a lovely time chatting with Howard, one of the owners of Gibson Bridge, for our wine tasting. Right away, he showed us his passion and dedication to the craft and he spent a lot of time explaining how each wine was made. And out of the 4 other wine tastings we did in this region, the group of wines we tasted were the best and none of them disappointed. Definitely try the Pinot Gris here!
Walked in towards the end of their opening hours and had the pleasure of having Howard lead a tasting for just us. Howard gave us all the history about their winery and their process. It was great to learn about the region and the wines. It was one of our favorites in the region and ended up getting a case shipped back home. He was so kind in answering our questions and curiosities. It may not look like much from the outside, but there is some amazing wine within these walls and a must stop!
A lovely small vineyard. The owner/operators were so warm and welcoming! The wine was unique and wonderful! We especially loved learning all about the vineyard and the making of high-quality wines.
A must visit - The best wines we had the pleasure of trying during our Marlborough wine tour. Julie was an absolute delight - incredibly down to earth, passionate and hospitable. It was a lovely experience trying their wines whilst Julie spoke about her and Howard’s story setting up the vineyard. We tasted several incredible wines which we ended up purchasing to take home with us. They also have space onsite for visitors to stay overnight in the vineyard which would be a lovely setting!
This beautiful Vineyard blew us away. Once you taste their Pinot Gris you can understand why they consistently get 95 points and above. Julie and Howard where so much fun and the passion they have in their 70,s is awe inspiring. Thank you for such a wonderful tasting experience and a true highlight of our holiday.
Such a beautiful wine, good ripe grapes make great wine Strong passionate lovely people
Great little tasting house. Wines are good and not easily available commercially. Lovely couple. Owner operated, boutique vineyard. Visit if you can.
Great mom and pop shop. Julie and Howard were great to talk to. 21 years of hard work pays off. They are doing a great job. Loved the time at their vineyard and their stories.
