We were the only humans there. So soooo peaceful. Took a bunch of great pics. We heard a large animal that was near us... Possibly a deer, but it didn't come near us. Note to park ranger... Bracken was overgrown on the path so couldn't be on the lookout for snakes.... But we didn't see any at this time of the year anyways. Definitely worth the short drive off the main road

Depending on which road you come in from, you will have about 8km of dirt road. But good dirt road and perfecty fine for road cars. We were a little surprised on how few of these trees there were. Great expectations of a forest of cabbage trees it ends up hunt the tree. Parking for only 4 cars so I don't think it gets busy. A small picnic area with 3 tables and 100 thousand mozzies. The short walk (15mins if you daudle) is pleasent enough and you hardly will bump into anyone. We say a lyre Bird. Happy with the outing but keep your expectations low.

It is only a short drive in from the Highway. There is a small picnic area and a small walk. It is great to have a break and to enjoy the rainforest and listen to Lyrebirds and others.

Great place for a short walk or picnic. Can be a real birding hot-spot at times, with some great birds to see here. The walk itself is very short, would be a <5 minute circuit including walking back along road. Best to walk slow and stop along the way then the birds will come out more. There are three picnic tables with bench seats by the car park. A couple of benches along the walk itself.

Very short loop walk that is worth the pause. We walked with SG and loved it

Just off the main highway this amazing patch of remnant cabbage palms is well worth the look for forest enthusiasts. Sitting amongst native eucalypt forest is this small patch of palms completely out of character. Plenty of info and things to see. Road a little bumpy on the way in but two wheel drive accessible.
