Coming from someone that has worked for 12 years in hospitality I can tell a good server and how long they’ve had in the background which I was right in predicting how long she’d worked in the industry based on how welcoming and upbeat she was we had a nice conversation with her a few times so she definitely did her job well and hope she gets on well with University. We’ll hopefully be back again in future. The lady that seated us I could tell had probably been working in hospitality for a while as could have been a little more welcoming but not a big deal I know when a servers having a bit of a rough day so hope she was ok also but glad with the overall experience did hope for more understanding of the issue of the 25% off as I did sign up for it but didn’t receive an email and didn’t know about needing a code after 48 hours so maybe that should have been made clearer on the discount to do 48 hours in advance but other than that was a lovely time thanks to Vicki and the great food and drinks. Would have liked my ribeye a little more pink as I like mine rare but was still nice just a bit more medium I think it was but still really nice.

It was lively and there was live music. They didn't have the music so loud you couldn't hold a conversation, which was nice. The staff were friendly and attentive although our food and drinks took a long time and we're first delivered to the wrong table. Every time a different one! I went tonight for my friend’s birthday meal, and let’s just say we did not enjoy it one bit. On arrival our table was 15 minutes late/delayed. The Kema Nan was a disgrace, there was no meat in it as you can see from the image, a pathetic sprinkling of something but not how it should be. They did not provide any complementary popadoms despite the £27.00 bill!! It has been very challenging finding a decent, reputable, good value and authentic Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant anywhere in Milton Keynes, I've tried, there are none! Maaya is most definitely not authentic Indian cuisine, I've eaten in many Indian restaurant's and had authentic home cooked Indian food, this place is a million miles away from authentic. Like all of them in Milton Keynes, they are a long way off of producing decent food. The standard has definitely gone down to what it was 4 to 5 years ago. If I could give a zero score I would. There looks to be fake reviews on here, they are easy to spot. This place is beyond awful and I will not have food from there again, it was a stark reminder of one if the reasons I stopped going years ago. Back to my search for good Indian food, I mean GREAT Indian/Bangladeshi food!! I won't hold my breath!

The service is great and the server could not have been more helpful. I phoned on a Thursday to make a reservation for the Sunday and so we were only able to get a table for just over an hour, this was plenty of time and the food came out quickly. My wife, mum and I were just looking for a light lunch and being from Bristol stumbled across Nannos. We were treated to the most interesting and flavoursome tuna sandwich which belied its name. It was a fantastic home made panini bread with the most delicious filling and great chips. More than any standard sandwich. We also had drinks and coffee’s. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the decor and ambience of the restaurant was delightful. Our meal was rounded off with the most incredible gesture from a local gentleman who we had been having a lovely chat to when we discovered he had settled up our bill. Despite our amazing gift from the gentleman I would thoroughly recommend the restaurant it was very different and food and hospitality first class. On this occasion I had received an offer as it was my birthday, but unfortunately, for the first time, it was a huge disappointment. I ordered the Simply Classic Chicken with broccoli, peas & a jacket potato. The chicken breast was over cooked and very dry, the potato was lovely (hard to spoil a potato!) but the broccoli was inedible,and the peas hard and discoloured. The broccoli looked dry and smelled burnt as if it was the scrapings from the bottom of the bain-marie. I had one piece and decided to leave it. I didn't like to complain as our waitress Kay was really lovely and rushed off her feet with 3 large tables to serve, but I did mention it to her when she cleared the plates and asked her to bring it to the chef's attention. The salad bar was reasonably well stocked but they had to be asked 3 times by my husband, another guest, and then myself to re-stock the rolls. And then we had to ask again for plates! I do find that it depends who the chef is on the day as to the quality of the food, and some staff are better than others at regularly checking the salad bar. We came on a Saturday at 1.30pm and it was comfortably busy which usually means the staff are on the ball, but not this time. But give Kay a pat on the back for being perfect at her job

Looks as though it is going to be a community cafe and hub. The food was really good and presented well. The staff were friendly. It was closing by 4 pm so a little rushed as we didn't find it till 3.30pm. It should , in my humble opinion, be open a lot later., perhaps 8 pm. Been in there a few times now and its fine but for someplace that Italians frequent, and is run by I am shocked at the quality. Most italians I know including my own family would drag this place when they visit. The pasta dishes are never al dente, the sauce is good but not homemade good just the good tinned sauce. The cheese has this strange after taste thats i can not describe. However for the price you pay i dont expect more than that food is decent enough doesnt make you sick so fresh enough too. The worst thing about this place is the grated cheese they give you to add to your pasta is that cardboard that you buy pregrated from the DRY good section in the store that never goes off and tastes like sand. It was disgusting and I dont even know how they can serve that cheap stuff to people. For goodness sake guieseppe comes every thursday buy the hard cheese from him or at least buy the "fresh" grated cheese from the fridge section of the store, not the crap that can sit in the cuboard for 10 years and never go off.

Cons: The portions are about 33% of the size and the prices leave a lot to be desired, i didn't see a set meal, you just pay for each item individually e.g. espresso double £2, Omelette £4.90 and salad £2.50. Thankfully there is a Greggs across the road so i could top up, £9.40 all in all for a small breakfast and I need to pop into Greggs as well to finish off, i miss my old cafe. We found this little gem and popped our head in. The whole team greeted us in a friendly manner and found us some seats. The food at first glance appears on the up end of the scale but when the food arrives the portions are decent and the quality of the food was amazing. She were so impressed and I asked if they did outside catering, as we were arranging my father in laws funeral. 😔 Tracey confirmed that they did. It was organised for the following week, there and then. I was so impressed with the quality and quantity of the food, it was ready for collection on agreed time and presented in handy, labeled, including a vegetarian option, covered trays, that are recyclable.
