The lady who welcomed us was so passionate about the museum she took 5 minutes to privately tell us about the history of the schoolhouse and how it became what it is today. Stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for dining options in the area, and so glad we did. The restaurant is a converted house with a large outside dining area. We opted for inside since it was still hot outside. There are several dining areas which were obviously once rooms in the home, as well as a bar/lounge area. For dessert we enjoyed some cider donuts with cinnamon glaze and some ice cream. They were sweet and tasty and a great way to end our meal. The service was fantastic. Our server Dax made some great recommendations and gave the right amount of attention, without being overbearing. He was knowledgeable about the menu and made sure to ask about dietary restrictions and allergies. Overall this was a great experience with fantastic food. After moving from Jacksonville, my children’s school zone was this school. The first 2yrs my children’s attended this school was pretty decent. It’s not until their 3rd year which would be this school term where I hated it. To start, as a mother, I had several conversations with Devivo and Simmons. During open house, I communicated how both of my children personality were. I won’t say my son has made it easy for Simmons, however she lacks a backbone when it comes to children who are more active than most. I wouldn’t say my experience with her was terrible, but her lack of knowing how to handle my son left me in disbelief. Now Devivo needs to be replaced!!!! She is HORRIBLE with communication. I’ve open the floor several times, set up conferences with her and she still sucked. She has dropped the ball several times as my daughter teacher. The new assistant principal Vermont, needs to go back where she came from. Ms. White needs to come back. Vermont is very dismissive. This is her first year at the school. My advice would be, instead of being so dismissive, get to truly learn the children and their parents! Mrs. Smith is amazing! As a principal, she has to do what she has to do and I’ll say, she is 100% understanding, but also puts her foot down when necessary. The love she displays on those children and how they live in her is amazing! I will say this will be my children’s last year here and this year alone played a major part in while I will remove them. I’d like to say, thank you to the 2 teachers and Mrs. Smith including Ms. White for loving on my babies and looking after them as if they were their own! Blessings to you ladies!

I had 2 kids attend plumosa from k-7, one of them i pulled out before she can finished middle school. My youngest begged to stay until 5th grade, not a day goes by I don't regret it. Long story short the arts programs needs major improvement... Ms Bugeja from chorus plays favoritism... which isn't fair at all to the other kids. There's no reason for the same child to be given solo multiple times while the other students are overlooked... some students have been with her for over 5 years and still get passed over... either she tell the students she doesnt think they are good enough to be in chorus or she stop being bias. As for the Visual art, Ms. Davis is a great teacher. Music/band IS PHENOMENAL. I've always enjoyed their performance. The teachers are amazing and they do a wonderful job. Kuddos to them.

I’m in high school now and it taught me so much. Now I’m fluent in English and Spanish, I’m a dancer, I’m advanced in guitar and, I like to paint. This school really helps to bring out creativity from students and really teaches them if they’re willing. My time was great! Like any other school, there’s going to be some teasing from time to time but the teachers are really good at seeing something and nipping it from the bud. Thank you plumosa for teaching me! The arts program made school fun to go to! Not to mention the after school clubs made great opportunities to have a good time and make friends. If your in dual language you will also have mandatory shows that not only are fun to do, they help to bring kids out of their shells so that they aren’t afraid of some spotlight. This school was definitely the best school for me and if you’re thinking of putting your kid in it, I really recommend it. 💜
