It was very easy to get too. Had no problems with traffic getting to this location. The parking lot was easy to enter and plenty of spots near the main entrance. They have a kiosk or front desk to buy tickets. No line at either. We only pay for the tickets not parking or maybe the parking is included in the ticket price but I feel it was a great price. This place is extremely large and there is lots of ground to cover. You could easily spend the whole day here. They have a gift shop inside. They have a very large amount of unique sculptures. Sharks made one of the main exhibits during my last visit, and the full scale models of some species were impressive. Great variety of knowledge shared and lots of Michigan specific information. Sharks exhibit is really well done. I learned a lot. Three stories of fascinating artifacts displayed in a memorable and meaningful way. It's not a children museum but set up to be visually and physically engaging. Several child play areas. My favorite was the Grand Rapids main street. The best. Also enjoyed the old school way they exhibited flora, fauna, animals and habitats of Michigan. The experience loses a star as a lot of the animals looked to be quite sad and bored, I appreciate the work of the zoo for the animals but some of the pens are not all that big and clearly not enough to keep them occupied in their surroundings.

As visitors approach the museum you are greeted by a very nice statue of First Lady Betty Ford. There is also a statue of President Ford at the entrance to the Museum. Once I purchased my ticket for the self-guided tour, I made my way up to the exhibit area which documents the life of the man who served as both Vice President and President and was never elected to either office. The first exhibits that I encounter documents the early life of President From his birth in Omaha, Nebraska to his football day at the University of Michigan. Moving though the museum I found the exhibits on his long career as a member of the United States House of Representatives. A part of the House Exhibit that I found particularly interesting was President Ford’s service as a Member of the Warren Commission that investigated the Assassination of President John Kennedy. The museum deals extensively and quite accurately with the corruption of the Nixon-Agnew Administration. After completing my tour of the museum, I made the short walk along the paved path to the crypt where both President and Mrs. Ford are resting. The walk from the Museum to the Gravesite affords visitors a very nice view of downtown Grand Rapids. During my 2025 visit to the Ford Museum was open Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from Noon until 5 p.m. It has a very reasonable admission price of $13. Seniors’ admission is $11. All total I spent a little less than 4 hours at the museum. This is a very well-done museum and I would highly recommend visiting if you are in the Grand Rapids Area.

Full price for kids over 1, tiny area for those small kids. Overall very cheap / simple / odd areas with what feels like minimal effort. We had a very negative experience simply trying to get to our seats. I recently had foot surgery and currently utilize a knee scooter to get around. We had our tickets before I had my surgery but expected things to go smoothly based on all the previous years we have gone to games and our knowledge of the stadium… we were very shocked at how much the stadium changed since last year! And not in a good way, specifically when thinking of accessibility! When paying for parking, we were directed to park in the outfield parking area and told handicap parking is in the middle (we had my temporary handicap tag hanging in the windshield). I believe we got the very last handicap space in that entire parking lot, unfortunately we couldn’t exit one side of our vehicle because someone parked in a “regular” spot was over the line (NOT the parks fault but was definitely inconsiderate of that patron). We had our tickets scanned and started the LONG trek uphill across the entire ballpark! Why were we told (dare I say forced) to park in the outfield when our seats were in section 120, behind home plate?! Previously there had been a straight walkway we could use to have easier access to the lower sections but that was completely taken out with the recent “upgrades”. Uphill with a knee scooter is not for the faint of back/hips/single leg muscle users! Once we were making our way in the direction of our section, we quickly realized it was nearly impossible to get to our seats while trying to avoid steps. We asked Customer Service the best way to get to our seats with a knee scooter, and they directed us to the DTE door near the Capsized store, saying there was an elevator through those doors with an attendant that could help us. Once we got to that door, we were told there was, in fact, no elevator there and we actually needed to go farther down to a different door. We eventually found the elevator with an attendant, were ushered on the elevator with other guests, and started going up - except we needed to go down to get to our section. Yet again, we were told we were on the wrong elevator, slightly reprimanded for being on that elevator in the first place, and told that we needed to go farther down. By this time my husband was ready to leave altogether and our young daughter and niece didn’t understand why it was taking so long to get to our seats (admittedly, we didn’t understand that, either). Thankfully, the elevator attendant called out to someone to actually escort us to the correct elevator. We were horrified at how non-user friendly the stadium is now in terms of accessibility. We were completely dumbfounded that so many employees either did not have useful information or did not know the information when asked. So my advice to anyone planning on going to a game ~ be fully able bodied! {please read that dripping with sarcasm!} Do not have any planned or unplanned situations arise before the game you’re planning on attending that may hinder your ability to walk up/down hill and use stairs. Because apparently that is now the only way to access any seats that are not at the very top, near concessions. I pray those who are more reliant on assistive devices have better experiences and assistance than we did!!

It made sense that all the tables would be reservation based. We asked the guard if it was okay for us to still stand here and he said it was perfectly fine. We took a step back and put space between us and the table while still trying to stay out of the way of the path to the bathrooms and bar. About 5 minutes after our interaction with the security guard another guard came up to us seemingly already upset. They told us the tables were reservation only, making it clear we can’t use it unless we reserved it. We had not used it since the other guard had informed us so we said okay and gave a thumbs up. This guard proceeded to fold up the table with a bit more force than necessary, glancing at us as they did it. The guard didn’t walk away when they had the table put away how they wanted it, it felt clear that they were annoyed by our presence here. One of our group members asked if it was okay for us to stand where we were and the guard’s attitude made it seem like we were dumb for asking that. The guard told us we needed to move and ushered us away from the rail like how they would remove someone who was being rowdy or resistant. In all the times I have been at the intersection I have never had a negative interaction with any of the workers. I truly didn’t understand the need for passive aggressive actions and behavior towards us. We weren’t rowdy and we complied to everything that was requested of us. I’m thinking that maybe the guard was just having a bad day or was upset to be working on Halloween. I get the frustration, I would be more understanding if we were told originally that we can’t stand by the rail or the reservation tables. After being told we were fine as long as we didn’t use the table it was an unnecessary and unexpected interaction that felt icky. I’ve been a consistent connoisseur of the intersection since 2019 and I haven’t had much experience with the tables being reservation only.
