Downside: our room was by the stairs and entry door, it was loud with people moving and opening/closing the door. The building is wood cabin style so everything creaks. All lighting is VERY dim, even in hallways. It’s a large property so buildings are separate from each other. It’s a bit of a walk to the front desk or the pub [we stayed in Art House, furtherest from the main building]. Didn’t get a chance to go soak in their pool (they provide bathrobes 👌). The restaurant’s decor is beautiful and clean. The staff are prompt, courteous, and know the menu well. Chef apparently was unapologetic and indicated to waitress in response to our inquiry that salmon prices were high so they have reduced portions. Wish they had let us know that in advance. There are far better places in Bend that will provide great food and good sized portions at a reasonable price.

Sat as soon as I came in with water waiting at the table for me which I LOVED!!!! Such a beautiful place from the design to the staff to the food! The food was so good I forgot to take a picture of it when it came out I was overwhelmed with Joy and Happiness from the smells. Today I ordered: Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice $3.50 for the small The color was perfect with pulp you could smell and taste the freshness! Hawaiian Panackes $12.75 Fresh buttermilk panacakes filled with crushed pineapple and lightly dusted with powered sugar. Served with whipped butter and hot tropical syrup with a total of 860 calories Potatoes $4.00 Fresh Fried house potatoes that are NOT I Repeat NOT Hashbrowns!!!!!! Side note I love house potatoes over hashbrowns. They are not seasoned so you will need to add some salt pepper and one of the many choices of sauses availble. Tabasco (Green and Red) Tabasco (Chipolte) Tapatio Cholula Ketchup The orange juice was so fresh and the color was dark as it should be and NO Sugar added! I LOVED the Orange Juice!!! The potates where perfectly cooked with some crispy parts which made for the perfect crunch to soft ratio. I did add some salt and pepper as well as did a bit of all the sauces around the plate to have a taste of each. Let me tell you about these Hawaiian Panacakes... You do not really need syrup to eat these, they are soft fluffy and made to perfection. Every bite has pineapple and each bite brought joy to my pallet. My taste buds where in such a delightful state with every bite. I did try them with the Hot Tropical Syrup which is a fruit blend made in house... I will not share that secret as it is an inhouse receipe. SOOOOOO GOOD! It was like eating the best piece of pineapple cottoncandy panackas you can ever imagine. That is the only way for me to explain how the syrup and the panacakes taste together. I also tried with the regular syrup and my choice over all is the hot tropical syrup. I am so pleased at not only my experience and interaction with everyone I am just taken away at how amazing the food is. Overall if I was able to give them 10 Starz I would! The cleaniness of the restraunt is 10/10 The restroom is 10/10 The dishes that food served on 10/10 Everything is way above par by far!!!! The interior has dishes lining the tops of the molding which gives such an equiste look and feel to the place. They also have an indoor fire place which is just so cool! Overall I recommend without a doubt stopping into The Original Pancake House in Bend Oregon, wether you are a local or a passing through. So worth the wait my mouth is extremely grateful! They let the dogs in the patio area but not the indoor space, which is understandable. We plan to swing by again during our next visit to Bend. Great place to eat!

Stumbled across this eatery with grandkids, looking for something without a long wait. Great karma!! We basically grazed the appetizers and cocktails. One of the best Charcuterie Boards ever! Especially loved the Marinated Mustard Seeds, which we'd never seen before...a must-try. The Olive bowl was also quite good, with an assortment of Kalamata and green, in a tasty (garlic?) oil. Even the Honey Butter Rolls were exceptional. I also actually quite liked the Percorino Truffle Fries, and I don't generally like truffle-anything. The consensus *killer* app of the night was Elk Sliders. We ended up ordering 3 plates of 2 each. Never seen an Elk Slider before, but these were so good we almost fought over them. ;<) All the while, Cody was exceptionally helpful, pleasant, and patient with us over the 3+ hours we were there, We'll definitely return on next trip to Bend. Wanting a breakfast burrito, I gave it a go! It was HUGE for a bit more $$$ than other places. It definitely packed some heat but I do wish there was more texture and temperature contrast. Freaking us out thinking we would be charge over 1k. We paid through third party on their site called flex pay . So we were so confused as we looked closely at our receipt it had some others guy name on it, their total and their room number. After we got correct receipt, we were told pending charge would fall off since we had paid with third party. It ended up clearing my account and giving me an overdraft fee with my bank. We called and we were reassure of a refund and it’s been a week and nothing. All they did was email a receipt again. This has been a very frustrating situation. I figure booking a nicer place would be easy peasy and it has not. We were also charge for parking although I prepay this and thankfully this was refunded. But it’s like they seem so careless and like they don’t like really pay attention to what they are doing. Our room was pretty dusty. My husband and I kept sneezing. The sink was like back up. We ran out of body wash in our room on our first shower. It’s like they never bother to check the room to make sure it would be good for someone to stay with. It was just a whole mess. We weren’t happy and for what we paid not worth it. Who knows if they will refund us? At this point I rather dispute it with my bank. Don’t bother with this place unless you don’t mind the service or being charge incorrectly.

We came here for a company seminar and reserved 2 rooms one for my husband and I and 1 for our workers . First room was a 1 bedroom California king right on the river with a fire pit and the other room was huge had 2 sets of bunk beds , 2 queens and had 2 bathrooms (1 with a soaker tub) and 2 closets . Also has a private patio with a fire pit . There is a restaurant on site called currents which had delicious food , wine selection, and ciders. We did not try any cocktails but they looked delicious and the bar staff is very accommodating and friendly. Currents is split into 3 parts , restaurant, lounge and bar . The bar connects to the back room which has a pool table for entertainment. Food that was selected during our stay was quite good . I had the beet and burrata salad, which was a 10, the steak bites and fondue was a 10 as well, also had a the steak and Chimichurri dish (the steak (9) was seasoned and cooked perfect , the sauce that the potatoes and side were in was quite spicy and was rated a 7, trout dish was quite good the trout was not fishy at all and seasoned well served with a almost scalloped mashed potato which made the dish rated an 8, also someone ordered a pasta dish that was quickly devoured and they rated it a 10. We did order a dessert to go which was an apple tarte with a vanilla ice cream and an apple cider syrup topping and it was quite good I would rate it an 8 . I would highly suggest this Lodge . Pricing is reasonable and the staff was excellent, rooms were clean and having amenities on site makes it an amazing mini vacation spot . This does have a pool and fitness center, but unfortunately I ran out of time to check out the facility’s :)

It was a beautiful well kept and peaceful hotel it felt like a resort. Making s'mores and gathering around together to swim hang out and eat at this property. My daughter was able to bring her dog which was invaluable because the dog is very elderly and has issues that are concerning but she was made very comfortable and enjoyed the stay as well. My room was literally facing the river it was gorgeous and the pool was very clean and well kept along with the hot tub it was definitely a family vibe I would recommend this place to anyone who is traveling to the Bend area

My family was in Bend on vacation. We first stopped at trip advisor’s #1 breakfast place but the wait was over 30 minutes on a Wednesday. We decided to keep driving and we were so lucky to just happen upon the black bear diner. Food was great! I did call the store and left a voicemail. I just feel like the transaction was a complete disappointment and I ended up with 4 bottles of high priced wine when my intention was to buy one. So we waited for the drink and at the end they also made an extra drink by mistake and we were like maybe they were going to give it to us since we waited for a very long time and made mistakes on our order, but nope we didn't get it and had already paid extra cause they didn't give us the money back for the price difference of the Roasted chicken ($15) and Sunrise wrap ($11) We get back home to enjoy our meal after this whole mishap and I proceed to open my Perfectly sunny and find they didn't put the gouda cheese or bacon in it ($3 extra). I realized also that they didn't give us the fruit that comes with the sunrise wrap. We tipped 15% which was $6 since you have to tip before receiving the order on mobile card pay. wish we could take that back that's for sure. All in all, worst experience I've had in the food industry and I've worked in this profession all my life, and understand mistakes happen, but this was way too many for what is acceptable. I will not be coming back to Mother's Eastside or Westside Kitchen due to this experience. I'm honestly only writing this review cause I'm angry and appalled, but if you like the food which I did and have not experienced something like this with them go and still eat there, its just my experience that I wanted to share. *TLDR: Ordered food here, had to wait an extra hour, told us they didnt have one of the food items we ordered got something else, didn't receive money back for difference, forgot to make drinks, didn''t receive the paid extras we requested on our items.

Dutch Bros is very smooth and flavorful. You can get it the way you want, but if you get it just black, it's very very good. The prices are VERY reasonable. Much more affordable than Starbucks. The staff is very friendly, wonderful and don't treat you like an idiot if you don't know what to order. I love collecting the many Dutch Bros stickers they offer. The non coffee drinks are delicious too! My favorite is the pineapple strawberry lemonade.
