Awesome Breakfast Spot! Visiting Fairbanks to hopefully see the Northern Lights and found the Gem of a restaurant. Our server L. Rainey was a delight and so nice they could get 5 stars from her alone. She was busy but ensured you felt that you were the only person in the restaurant. Ask for her if you go and feel at home. The food was amazing and the portions are hugh. The restaurant is small but full of life. The picture shows what all we had which you would consider a basic Breakfast but.... it is delicious. My apologies. Hoping better late than never. We were a large party visiting Fairbanks. Since being there last- it was surprising to find no place open for food- not a bar. Denny’s on Airport Road had been there forever. It was gone- & so was all night eateries in Fairbanks it seems. This restaurant was open- but closing due to the one lady there being sick & having no one to really help with a large party. Long story short- this restaurant took us in- fed us WELL! Great food- great- fast service in spite of our waitress not feeling 100%. It was all absolutely wonderful. Even though it was late- they were really hoping to close up & leave- & our party was large- with small children- they were KIND!! That is in such short supply these days. Would go back just to thank them personally again for treating us all like VIPs! Of course they were taken care of- & hopefully made it worth their while!! HIGHLY recommend if you’re in Fairbanks. The 2 people we spoke with never smiled and we got the impression we may have been annoying them without special requests (no bread with my wife's sandwich, the different cheese, trading in the coffee) so that was a little bit of a bummer. The drive through is so slow and the food is so meh with the prices that continue to climb that during my most recent visit for happy meals with the kids I had a major epiphany that the whole experience is absolutely not worth the time and cost investment. I had enough time to sit and ponder (45+minutes with only 6 cars ahead of me originally) to imagine how much less irritating it will be next time to stop and grab a few groceries, likely for less cost. Then take home and cook, for a faster, healthier, overall much better experience. Thank you McDonalds, Fairbanks. This experience you have given me has allowed me to address my life in a more positive way. I will never spend another cent at your locations.
