I booked a package that included soaking in the heated spa with a glass of bubbly before my 90 minute massage with Belinda where I added a hot stone enhancement and petit facial. I didn’t see a sign explaining how to operate and if there isn’t one perhaps the staff could consider adding one. I don’t recall the name of the lady working at the reception desk when I arrived but she was friendly and we instantly started talking about my travels in Australia and her upcoming trip to Japan. The heated spa is a little outdated but was still a relaxing retreat only steps away from my hotel room. The ginger tea and chocolate afterwards was a delicious surprise.

Arrived to our room and completely blown away. It was stunning, so beautifully decorated with everything you needed and more. The Sofitel staff were so incredible with this situation, before we had even arrived they had organised accommodation at a nearby hotel at half price and completely comped the 3rd night at the Sofitel itself. Not only that but they went out of their way to hand deliver a charcuterie board and a lovely bottle of champagne at our replacement accommodation as a an apology. When we finally did get to the Sofitel on our third night, they kindly came to our other hotel to hand collect our bags and transfer them for us. A second charcuterie board and sparkling wine were also complimentary along with breakfast and dinner too. The hotel itself was lovely, we had one of the newly renovated rooms which are gorgeous and very nicely appointed. We have already booked another stay as 1 night was not enough! From an unfortunate situation, the staff, Romanta and Michael in particular were incredibly kind and apologetic for the room issue. Very much looking forward to returning.

This was our first holiday in a long time and it was by no means cheap. But our experience felt like a 2 star motel. It was filthy - there was black mould and dust/dirt everywhere, the floors were sticky and the spa bath still had short/curly hair in it. When we complained to reception, we were told there was only one other room available next door, but the cleanliness was only slightly better. For two of the nights, we were woken up regularly by a lot of stomping and "dragging furniture" noise, from upstairs. Stay somewhere else. I think this is the first 2-star review I’ve ever written and I don’t do this lightly but this wasn’t the premium experience that was advertised on their website and on their Booking.com profile. The place feels more like a motel than a 4 star resort. The apartment was in dire need of a renovation. Just to give a few examples, the toilet was rather old, the doors needed another layer of paint and care, the aircon was very very old and really noisy... A couple of things broke, mainly the microwave and the portacot where my baby slept. Then there was the issue with cleanliness. I dropped something that rolled under the bed and when I went to retrieve it I realised there was a really thick layer of dust sitting there. Clearly that area hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time, which is quite worrying, particularly when staying with a baby. I flagged it and it took over 24h to get a team in to clean it properly. So, all in all, I spent my 5 days there flagging issues and waiting for them to be resolved. This was also made more complicated by the fact that reception is only open limited hours and the housekeeping and maintenance crews are also there very limited hours. Plus some of the staff I spoke to didn’t make me feel great when raising matters and they didn’t sound very apologetic. Finally, housekeeping is not done every day and they only offer one basic housekeeping service (mostly changing sheets and towels - the bathroom wasn’t even cleaned) in the middle of your stay if you stay 5 nights or longer. And they charge you for any additional towel changes you might need. So, to sum it up, it is an outdated resort with a mediocre service and inadequate maintenance. Definitely not what you expect for the price you pay and not in line with the online info. I would recommend everyone to go somewhere else.

When we checked in the receptionist had us wait 5-10 minutes while our room was being given its “final quality control check” so where did their systems fall down? We checked out a day early cancelling our holiday and asked for a refund of both nights accommodation. The venue has argued the best they can provide is a 20% refund of the first night and a full refund of the second - not good enough, we didn’t receive 80% the experience of a 5 star, $800 per night hotel. The room was a disappointment. On check-in and seeing the room we asked staff if they would possibly have another room for us. They said they were fully booked. It was situated over the resort parking garage and you couldn't leave the windows open due to the noise in the garage. The room was dark, it had no outlook to anything pleasant. All you could see where the windows of the neighbouring building. Couldn't even see the sky to see what sort of day it was. It was not possible to leave the blinds or curtains open as the people across in the next building could look straight in. The sofa, the two occasional chairs & dining chairs where so uncomfortable. Not comfy to sit in at all. The upholstery on the sofa, chairs and cushions was stained and dirty. The kitchenette was not clean. Glasses were dirty, toaster had hundreds of peoples handprints on them, the bathroom mirror had spots all over. There was mold on the silicone around the bathroom basin. The bathroom floor grout was soooo dirty. Obviously there hasn't been an update of anything in this room for a very long time. Overall not a nice experience and not good value for money. Our room was extremely clean, spacious & updated with a nice fresh smell. Honestly this was the nicest place we stayed our whole trip to Australia. There was no elevator so packing up luggage to the upper floor may be an issue for some but not for us. The full kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals and I appreciated having a sharp knife in the drawer. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillow options. There were 2 air conditioning units in the apartment which we used to just cool off the room when we got back & then shut off for the rest of the evening. The large covered deck area had a big table and chairs to enjoy the outdoors and our room had a small 2nd balcony toward the road/river. There was one parking space for us to use under the building which was nice because it was quite rainy when we arrived. Unfortunately the pool closed fairly early and we couldn't get back in time to relax in the hot tub as we hoped, it would be great if at least the hot tub was open for use in the evening. BBQ's were clean and worked great for cooking our meal one night. We spent one evening walking through the Noosaville shops and had a delicious meal at Zachary's pizza bar. The second day we enjoyed the 10K coastal walk at Noosa National Park and then exploring the shops in Noosa. It's a busy area for sure but we were patient to find parking when we needed to and did lots of walking. Overall we loved our unit at Verano Resort and would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

As a Noosa local, we often visit your store because it’s always delicious. What I didn’t expect was such friendly and attentive service from the young lady (Scarlet) who served us today. School holidays have obviously started and the shop was extremely busy, however when it was our turn to order we were greeted with a genuine smile and a very polite welcome which is so lovely especially when the staff are under such pressure. It’s only ice cream I know, but to us that’s even more reason to appreciate the great service (the taste test and flavour explanations) and the sincere “thank you very much” when we left, because the young lady really didn’t have to. Today's experience was no different, not that im surprised. I walked in and was served relatively quickly which was different because im usually left waiting. The manager on shift had incredibly disgusting behaviour to her staff member. Berating her in front of customers. It could have just been workplace banter but when the team member didn't reciprocate, it felt so uncomfortable. If that's how she was spoken to i cant imagine what goes on behind closed doors. It's truely a bummer because out of all of the staff members I've been served by, she was the better one. I've worked in fast food myself, and have been a manager of multiple stores and I can't imagine ever going to work there. Not only was the attitude disgusting, the store matched it. Car keys and phones out on the bench in customer view, half eaten cookies by the register, coffee grounds everywhere. Definitely just the Cherry on top with this place.

I stopped in for a herbal tea and foot massage on a recent visit to Noosa and it was sheer bliss. Georgie was so friendly and nothing felt rushed. After the massage she said I was welcome to stay and relax listening to the meditation music on the noise cancelling headphones in the recliner chair. I wanted to stay forever! My friends made bookings to go back the next day and enjoyed the experience as much as I did. The cafe at the front faces onto the river and is the perfect place to enjoy a drink before or after some pampering. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Noosa.
