Beautiful beach. One of my favorites in Bournemouth as well as Sandbanks beach.
There are places for food, drinks, icecream, coffee etc There are toilets available and parking as well, if parking is full, there are spaces on Studland road free road parking. There is also kids playground behind Vesuvio restaurant.

Great beach, easy access from car park, and plenty of things to do with kids. This is dog free beach in summer time, which is great. Also there is a life guards on duty from 10am to 6pm. Make sure you go there before 9:30am to get a parking spot otherwise there is no way to park in the car park. Toilets are clean, not much but they could be cleaner. There is not any drinking water spot as other beaches like sandbanks.

Lovely Sandy Beach!! It’s so beautiful and scenic, you can just get lost by its beauty. You can swim here, enjoy a long walk and can spend a good amount of time. There’s parking close by and public toilets too! In winter the cafes are closed, so suggest you rather pack a snack. The rocks and shell collections are amazing!! You could spot hermit crabs too!!! Beautiful beach. I prefer to go closer to Hengistbury Head as it’s a little more peaceful and nicer - the main beach in Southbourne is very crowded and busy. The sand dunes are great for dogs to run around. The water is a nice blue colour and the beach is lovely to spend time on a sunny day, or just a walk on a cloudy day.

Had a lovely afternoon here with my 2 year old! Especially impressed with the Toy Library where we could play with sand toys then put them back again (save carrying and having a sandy (er) car! Parked at Durley Chine car park, enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Harvester (free salad too!) and, after sand play, did a lovely circular walk along the promenade, up the zig zag, through lovely grass, trees and squirrels back down steps to the car park. I absolutely love Bournemouth Beach — it’s honestly one of my favourite places to visit! Every time I come here, it feels like a little escape from everything. The beach is always so clean, and the sand is soft and golden — perfect for just sitting down, reading a book, or watching the waves. Visited this beach last night, it was so empty and peaceful. I stayed to watch the sunrise and saw people around me starting their day, doing their own little routines. This is a beautiful and peaceful walk with gorgeous views of the sea. It is the perfect place to walk your dog (they should be on a lead). There are a few stairs but most of the walk is just a straight even path. I’ve seen quite a lot of elderly people and children do this walk. However it is quite windy. Many people only think of Hengistbury Head as a small hill and not much more but that is far from the truth. Here’s why…
The long peninsular that forms the southern and south-western arm around Christchurch Harbour, is a fascinating place with so much for the visitors. It has an excellent visitor centre which tells the history of this important piece of land. Near the centre is a good cafe and toilet facilities including a Radar accessible toilet.
There are many well maintained paths that form excellent walks around and up to the Head itself. When approaching the top from the landward side where there is plenty of parking, it’s a fairly easy walk up to the top with some benches and a trig point beacon. About 150 metres along the top is a coastguard watch hut with useful information regularly updated about the tide times and so forth. You can then walk right along to the end of the headland and then down all the way to the sea level and Mudeford Spit with its famous beach huts.
The birdlife all along the Head is hugely varied. On just one walk recently I saw lots of common, Ballack-headed and heron gulls, sandwich terns, shelducks, oyster catchers, a buzzard, a dartford warbler, a greenfinch, a turnstone, sand martins, starlings and other common passerines.
This is also a rare area for seeing the protected Natterjack toad.
A wonderful place for walkers, history, fabulous views of the harbour and the sea and the coast back to Bournemouth and Poole.

Lots of people told me about Hengistbury Head, but today I went for the 1st time. It was as good as people have said. Very dog friendly with plenty of bins around.
The coast part was great and great, but equally great is a well planned walk through dense woodland close to the sea line.

This is a wonderful place saved by my Dad. When he was alive he designed the coastal defence against this place being destroyed. The groynes and the dredging of sand to help protect the beaches. When summer arrives, Bournemouth is usually one of my go to destinations. But let’s be honest judging by the crowds, many people feel the same way, and sometimes it turns into a stressful experience rather than a relaxing day at the beach. Space is limited, and it can get overwhelming.
That’s why I was so glad to discover Boscombe Beach. Recently, with hotel prices in Bournemouth getting higher and higher, I decided to stay here instead and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The beach is less crowded, the overall vibe is calmer, and prices for accommodation are relatively more reasonable.
On top of that, Bournemouth is still close enough to reach by foot or bike, so you don’t miss out on the city experience either. In my opinion, Boscombe is a really smart alternative if you want to enjoy the seaside without the chaos. Highly recommended!

There are some nice eateries, a massive Harvester and also wood oven pizza restaurant alongside the sea front, where you can also grab a drink from a bar or play beach volleyball which seemed to be super popular with the locals!

Forget a ride on the noddy/land train at the head. Massive car park available at Hengisbury head, plenty of parking have never failed to get a spot. Pay at machine or use the online app which i always use as you can top up your parking if you are going to be longer than expected, and you will be 😊 There are toilets at Hengisbury Head or on Mudeford sand bank. lots of lovely cafes that serve really nice quality food....you can spend the whole day here the beaches ⛱️ are clean and the waves are small and gentle so ideal if you have small children. It a a lovely place to visit. We visited on a Saturday but this place was bit quieter in comparison to other areas on Bournemouth beach. Clean sand and blue waters make it a perfect place for a lovely day out. Parking around is bit difficult to find on weekends there are plenty of drinking water fountains and also free public toilets available. There are cafes and shops within 5 to 10 minutes walk in both directions. The tide is very stable and a safe place to enjoy day in water with kids. A wonderful place to spend a day out at beach. Highly recommended. The traffic can get worse on weekends, reaching early is strongly recommended.

This is a marvellous beach with soft sand and pristine water. We truly had a wonderful time at this beach. We arrived at around 4 pm, and the beach was in perfect condition. We played football and volleyball, and since the sand is so soft, everyone could attempt some adventurous shots and falls while playing.
We found ample free parking along the roadside.
The only downside is that it might be difficult for the elderly or those with knee or back problems to use the steps to reach the beach. I am not sure if there are any other access points, but we used the steps.
It will be an incredible experience for those who want to explore soft, sandy beaches.

Let's be honest, my usual beach day involves a half-inflated lilo and a fight with a seagull over a packet of crisps. Canford Cliffs Beach is a serious upgrade. This place is so posh, I'm pretty sure the seagulls wear little monocles and politely ask for a spare chip rather than mugging you for your entire pasty.

The highlight was trying to explain the sheer grandeur of the beach huts to my kids. "No, that's not a tiny house, that's a 'beach cabin' and it probably has a better mortgage rate than we do." Lost a flip-flop to a surprisingly powerful wave, but consider it a sacrifice to the posh beach gods. Five stars. Would definitely get accidentally sunburnt here again.

During our recent visit to Branksome Chine Beach in Poole, UK, I was pleasantly surprised by what a fantastic family destination it turned out to be. We arrived after midday on a Friday in August, and I was relieved to find the beach relatively quiet, providing a peaceful and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Travelling with my family, including my three boys who are of varying ages, it's often challenging to find a spot that caters to all their interests. However, Branksome Chine Beach exceeded our expectations, it was a beautiful sandy beach with no litter or rubbish anywhere to be seen. The kids were thrilled with the clear, shallow water, which was perfect for splashing around safely.
The convenience of parking right by the beach cannot be overstated, and it’s reasonably priced, which is a bonus. As soon as we arrived, the boys raced down to the beach, while my wife and I relaxed, knowing the amenities were nearby.
The location boasts a lovely restaurant and a shack offering ice cream and coffee. Situated practically on the sand, it was the perfect place to grab refreshments without having to venture far – an absolute win for any parent.
Showers were conveniently available to rinse off the sand, ensuring no one was uncomfortable after a day of fun. We even noticed a few barbecue grills installed permanently, possibly for hire use – a unique touch that adds to the family-friendly vibe of the place.
Being an Asian Muslim family and my wife wearing a hijab, we are sometimes more conscious of our surroundings, especially considering the current climate in the UK. However, except for one discourteous driver in the parking area, who seemed frustrated when I inadvertently stood in front of his car, the atmosphere was overwhelmingly positive and welcoming. We saw other Asian families enjoying the beach, and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time.
All things considered, Branksome Chine Beach is one of the best beaches in the UK I’ve visited, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family-friendly seaside experience. Branksome Chine Beach is one of those rare spots where you can actually *relax* on the south coast without being elbowed by crowds or dodging chip-stealing seagulls every 5 seconds. The sand is soft, clean, and surprisingly golden — not that grey half-mud you get at other places. Easy to park this time of year (October) and either an easy walk down or a cliff-side lift (£2.50/person for a single) for a bit of nostalgia either up or down (or both) the cliff. An absolute highlight of my tour of Bournemouth and the surrounding areas, I just happened to go on a day when entry was free, however, I would definitely have happily paid full price, I did in fact make a donation. Once you get to the main museum part of the building, you will find a collection like no other. It is part art gallery, part museum rolled into one building that is as stunning on the outside as it is on the inside. My one tip would be, don't forget to look up at the ceilings in every room (they're nearly as wonderful as the collection)

A truly delightful and almost hypnotic museum and art gallery, definitely a must-visit in Bournemouth. The Russell Cotes Art Gallery, with its extensive history, holds the unique distinction, not only of its blend of classic and contemporary art forms and styles, but how they seamlessly blend the two together in a fantastically visceral way. The staff are also very helpful and kind too. Definitely a place to get lost in if youre in the area!

With a multi-storey car park next door, you're ok for somewhere to park, but I would suggest you pay for your parking before you leave the event to get out quicker. We only took about 20 minutes but I have heard stories about taking an hour to get out. The venue itself is very nice, modern and well-managed. I have seen many bands play there, and always had a good experience. Staff are helpful. Easy to get in and out of.

Have visited twice over the last few months. First time was to see Adam Ant. This visit wasn’t great. I queued for ages for merch. There was no organisation from the sellers and they just stuck to the middle. In the end I gave up. Second visit was to see five. The merch sellers were much more organised , so I’m guessing this is down to the artists more than the venue? Other than that bar staff work hard and are helpful. Prices are what are to be expected for a venue place. Plenty of toilets too which were handy. I think the experience here depends on who you are seeing but can’t fault any other staff or cleanliness of the place.

Don’t be surprised by the pleasant building and friendly service of this local venue, but we were also impressed by the quality of the concert, especially how clean the bass guitar sound was. We had pre-booked parking, and experienced no queue in or out, even though the reg recognition didn’t work. Only wish is a cup holder for our wine. Brilliant night out without travelling far.
