There are work arounds though, and as long as you can mic up the bride or groom your audio should turn out fine. Overall, I had a great shoot and I am looking forward to filming here again. I was a lower middle income (LMI) single woman in my 20s when I attended, and I never felt like I belonged or fit in, but I didn't understand why. I grew up in church and had always had male pastors, but it never felt unbalanced because the wives were leaders just as much as their husbands. They were a team. Once, I brought a Black guy I was dating to an event. He felt very judged and right away told me there was something very off about the church. He said they were sexist. As a woman who has struggled with PCOS and infertility, I attended a prayer group once for women with infertility. Afterwards, one of the elder's wives met with me for coffee. She said I could never come back to the prayer group. I asked her why I couldn't pray for and with other women who struggled with infertility? She said because I'm not married. I met with the pastor I was closest with and his wife before I left to explain my concerns and experience. They listened to me, but I don't believe they ever took any action about what I said. There was no follow-up. Most of the people I was close to at that church left for the same concerns; feeling judged and the plagiarism. There was one couple at the church that was awesome. They took me in once when my house was infested with fleas over Christmas. I also appreciated the free clothing swap they ran for women and kids. I appreciated the ministries they support and the acts of service they do for the community. They have a beautiful music program and a lot of resources for families with young kids. I don't think anyone at the church is actively trying to hurt people who are poor, BIPOC, women or homosexual, but I don't think their white evangelical beliefs allow them to really serve the marginalized authentically. White evangelicalism in America is all about being good and perfect, and perfectionism originated from white supremacy.

The message is about God's love for us and how to live a meaningful and faith based life as best we can. They even give members an annual financial report showing where all the money goes that comes in and they definitely operate with transparency which is reassuring with a big church. They have made great strides to be constantly improving service and the space and it's such a fantastic venue in our city. The DIY nature of this venue allowed us to have a unique wedding that really felt like it reflected us as a couple and may not have been possible at many other venues. Finally, we loved that The Sanctuary is a non-profit and loved being able to play a small role in helping support their mission.

This society has a generation of autistic children; and, I'm certain, Shiloh has at least several members who have autism in their families. I didn't mention that I graduated with The Highest Honors (all A's) in a MBA Program. The Lord says He made man in His Image after His Own Likeness; so, when we mistreat or disregard the "least of these"; we also do it unto The Father.

It's not Kristo's fault that the locals of this church are rather rude and unfriendly. My wife's mother is a Russian who belongs to the faith. My wife doesn't like rude people and my neighbor who is supposed to set a good example for this church misrepresented this church and makes a mockery of it. My family and especially my wife doesn't like rude Christians. Because rude Christians are not true Christians at all, but instead are hypocritical in nature. I don't believe in bullying so my neighbor who goes to this church will remain anonymous. However this neighbor poorly advocates for the Orthodox church ☦️ and shouldn't wear the Orthodox cross so proudly if he is going to be rude towards his neighbors.
