Yet Churches are one of the most transgressors distributing this poison in Santa Barbara. A little sugar is not harmful, but sugar is prevalent in virtually all processed foods and wreaking havoc on American citizens. Physical and mental health are affected. Including Dementia!

We decided to play a round of golf. The course is an OK course, but it’s really more of a bar. The only thing sold on the course is alcohol. The players get extremely intoxicated on the course and then become hazards to other players. The ranger actively encourages the drunken behavior. At the end, while waiting for over 15 minutes in the Tee box for the extremely inebriated group in front of us to find their balls and move along we just hit it in fairway because they were nowhere near the fairway and we wanted to finish our round. It has been there many years and has been a comfort to many Catholic parishioners. It has off street and on street parking available. The grounds surrounding the church are well kept, and the interior of the church is very traditional in its architecture, with wooden benches, stained glass windows, high arched ceilings, statues of angels, Mary, and Jesus. They have a schedule of masses in English and Spanish throughout the weekend and some during the week. Confessions are administered on Saturday afternoons. We did reception only for $5000. The building itself is beautiful. The courtyard is spacious and well cared for. We also used their indoor auditorium space which had so much old school charm. We got all of our reception furniture (tables and chairs) for an additional $1200. We worked with Joanie from the Unitarian society who was so helpful! We are so thankful to have our ceremony and forever photos in a beautiful space like this one.The arch detailing of the architecture and the large stained glass window made our ceremony photos look like a dream. It was just the perfect space for an intimate ceremony. Our family sat in the first two rows of seats. We decided not to mic up or use the sound equipment the church provides, but our guests could hear everything and it was nice to have everyone close to us. The sanctuary also has a beautiful grand piano so we hired a close friend who is a professional pianist to play before & during the ceremony. That was a beautiful touch. We were also provided a space for myself (the bride) to get ready in. With it all being short notice, we did not arrange for a rehearsal or a tour of the property before the day-off. I was not able to get an early hotel check in to get ready in SB before the wedding, so it was really useful to have somewhere to change and touch up hair & makeup before walking down the isle. The exterior of the church was absolutely beautiful for photos after the ceremony. THE PROCESS: Incredible! We worked with Joanie who is just wonderful. She worked very hard to flip the space for us since it was so close to the holidays, AND she did it on short notice! Joanie made our dream come true. She was kind, excited with us, and so generous with her time. Joanie always got back to me very quickly even though we were communicating in between the holidays. POST-WEDDING REGRETS: The only thing I wish I could have had the opportunity to do would be to have a large wedding at the USSB! The property is just stunning and truly makes the perfect wedding venue inside and out. The masses are very traditional and the crowd is usually older people or family's with young children. Things went south when Shawn Dilbert found out that I attend another church. I was told that I was no longer welcome to have fellowship with or invite the members of Mission City to my home, and no longer welcome to attend services or functions there. It is against Mission City policy to let it's members study the Bible with members of other churches or attend other church's events as he claims it is "divisive". I had appealed his decision and asked for the opportunity to meet with the body of leadership to discuss the issue and find out if I had done anything scripturally wrong or sinful. He wrote to me that I would be given the opportunity, and then reneged and dismissed me with finality and permanancy through a cold email. From what I see in the Bible, all the New Testament churches were indeed one church. I do not believe that it is Jesus's intention for His churches to be separated from one another by so called "leaders" who claim personal ownership of their parishoners. It is my belief that we should all be getting together, no matter which church we belong to. Furthermore, any Church that is of Christ would encourage members to visit other churches to fellowship with, study the Bible with, and love their members as their own. Jesus is not about division or factions: "I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose. For some members of Chloe’s household have told me about your quarrels, my dear brothers and sisters. Some of you are saying, “I am a follower of Paul.” Others are saying, “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Peter,” or “I follow only Christ.” Has Christ been divided into factions? Was I, Paul, crucified for you? Were any of you baptized in the name of Paul? It has been there many years and has been a comfort to many Catholic parishioners. It has off street and on street parking available. The grounds surrounding the church are well kept, and the interior of the church is very traditional in its architecture, with wooden benches, stained glass windows, high arched ceilings, statues of angels, Mary, and Jesus. They have a schedule of masses in English and Spanish throughout the weekend and some during the week. Confessions are administered on Saturday afternoons. Their Rectory office and staff are available Monday-Friday, and are very helpful and friendly. They provide baptism, communion, confirmation, funeral and wedding activities. They also have Eucharistic Deacons who visit the housebound parishioners and provide prayers and comfort to those who can't attend the masses on site.
