My husband and I visited CHRIST CHURCH in April 2023 and have never felt more welcomed! The Clergy spoke to each of us as we departed. With our hearts filled with JOY we knew we had found a new Church home. The Sermons are fantastic each Sunday, the flowers on both altars gorgeous and the Choir is as good as they get with beautiful voices. Come visit, you will be glad you did. Too traditional for me. I visited there but for the most part was ignored. Maybe they were having an off day but the church just didn't seem to feel alive in the Spirit of God. Unfortunately I could not stick around for more than one Sunday to get a better perception, however, in all honesty, with respect and love... I really didn't want to anyway. I am forever grateful to this synagogue for their support of my family following my father's passing. Though our family was not part of the congregation, rabbinical pastor Heena Reiter made sure that my father had the reform Jewish funeral he wanted. She came to our home, spoke with our family, and helped guide us through our grief with the beautiful rituals of the Jewish tradition. Lukas Holldorf, the Communications & Connections Manager, was also exceptionally responsive, communicative, and kind when we reached out. It is clear that the people at Congregation Beth Israel are genuinely committed to serving the Charlottesville community. I was there to do a rosary for a late family member since it was her birthday. It really felt like God's presence comforting me. I was there for a work trip, so I wished I was there more, especially for their weekend Mass. It's a really beautiful church, and it was amazing to see Jesus, our Blessed Mother, and the Angels and Saints up there above the altar. I was in Charlottesville earlier this year and wanted to go to this parish, and I'm very thankful I got to go in the midst of my hectic week. I wished I could stay longer and went there more. I'm definitely saving up for personal trips to Charlottesville.

Holy Comforter has been such a blessing for our family! Father Joseph Mary is the busiest priest I have ever met but is full of joy and kindness. The staff is wonderful and welcoming! The parishioners and volunteers are caring and vibrant- it is amazing how involved everyone is!
