Our host and guide, Kris, was excellent. He helped walk us through all the different facets to choosing three great bourbons to blend together into our own custom mix. From helping us identify which bourbons were good bases, finishes, etc. to teaching us about the history of bourbon in the Nashville area, he taught us so much about the spirit we were working with that I cans away more knowledgeable than I was expecting. Stopped in as a precursor to our larger group coming in Nashville. Super cool vibe, ordered a flight and let them choose suggestions based upon my pallet. Selections were good but I wanted to try one of their "barrel your own" selections. Found one that was amazing and wanted to grab a couple of bottle plus a couple of other selections. They have a promo with $10 off a bottle if you had it in a flight. I didn't have one of the specific pours for one of the bottles I wanted so I asked if I could still get the $10 off my bottles. Who I assume is one of the managers said no. I respect that but his comments turned me off so much that I chose to buy nothing but the flight. I get it, we all need to stay in business but when you tell me you can't take $10 off a $500 purchase due to the "cameras watching us" and you're afraid of losing your job if you don't "follow the rules", frankly I don't support that. Either empower your employees to make good decisions or find different people. Not often am I so turned off but the whiskey culture is about fellowship and sharing. I don’t like this cut usually, but I’d make an exception for their fries because they were seasoned well and their ketchup for elevating them for sure. There’s plenty of parking on site, that’s a plus when you drive away from the city. A bit of a drive if you’re living in the city like me, but I’d go to a length saying they were worth the drive. The staff was so friendly. Their attention to detail is noteworthy — they don’t serve beer in chilled glass because they want you to acutely taste the beer and the colder it is, the less you can taste the flavor. The glassware in which they were serving the beer was also different for different beer (not sure if that was the coincidence but for our party of 5, we all had a different kind of glassware). As a surprise for my husband's birthday, I knew immediately that I'd chosen the right place when we walked off the busy Downtown Nashville street and what felt like back in time!! We arrived at 8pm july 18th. The host (male with a big afro) outside handed us menus and told us to sit wherever we like, someone will be by to take our order. 20 minutes later... no waiter. So glad that I did. It was nearing closing time, but the bartender was absolutely welcoming and super friendly. She made awesome suggestions for me to try from their menu and I ended up buying two four packs before I left lol. We learned about the Lincoln County process which is unique to Tennessee whisky. We watched them burn maple wood to make charcoal, fermenting, distilling, charcoal filtering, aging and bottling! We were even guided through a tasting of 6 different whiskies they make! Then afterwards, we were able to tour the small and intimate town of Lynchburg where you can wander at will, eat and buy souvenirs. Wow, this was one of those trips you won’t easily forget. It’s an intimate winery with a delightful and fun staff. Kate and Brandon were awesome. They shared about their winery, wine selection, and other local ones to visit. I instantly gravitated to the Barrel Select a red blend, but they have a dynamic selection of sweet, dry, red and white wines. They also have wine slushies! The bottles range in price from $18.95-$24.95 and they ship. I would recommend stopping by for a drink or to take a bottle home.

Everyone was very friendly and the service was exceptional. I'm forgetting his name now but the employee pictured was so down to earth; even when one of the girls in our group had to go back to the airbnb to get her ID (they will absolutely not serve you if you don't have an actual physical ID - rightfully so, just fyi) he made the 15 minutes she was able to partake of what was left of the hour tasting well worth it! Because he was so gracious to us we went over our time just a little bit (to make up for the ID mishap) which in turn made him have to rush for the next group, but we so appreciated it. The wine was so good that we purchased 3 different bottles from the wine we had tasted. The whole experience, amount of wine served during the tasting, food pairing, and slushy wine drink included after the tasting was such a VALUE for what we paid per person.
