An exceptional property in so many ways. The house is a beautiful two-storey bungalow with 5 rooms, larger than any room you have possibly seen. Even the bathrooms within these rooms are huge. They are luxurious and well-kept to say the least. The living/drawing/dining space is very aesthetically-decorated. The bungalow also has sort-of-an outhouse with a swinging chair, couches and sets of sofas. Last but not the least, the large private swimming pool is where we spent most of our stay, relaxing in the clean waters. The food was very very good. Our chef Mr. Nukul has some amazing culinary skills. He ensured all our dining requests are served. The curry that came along with the luchis was simply amazing, apart from the lip-smacking Chinese menu he served us. Mr. Prabir, our go-to person for anything and everything we needed, is the best you can ever imagine. Before we could even say it, Mr. Prabir was there to take care of it. Lastly, huge huge thanks to Mr. Samrat, the property manager-in-charge, who took all the pains to gift us this wonderful stay. His dedication and passion towards his job is praiseworthy beyond doubt. He greeted us with a smiling face whenever we met. He is one of the reasons why you should visit this place, or any other Taj property where he is the manager. Mr. Samrat's smile made our stay so much more enjoyable.

We got to know about this place from YouTube actually. We just fell in love with their food at first sight. Ambience was simple and sorted. The place was so clean and hygienic. The average waiting time for your food to arrive at your table is roughly 15-20 mins, which is quite normal. The owner was friendly too. UPI accepted as well. The best part is their kitchen, which is see through where everyone can watch the chefs do their magic. 😍

•1 plate of Mixed Singaporean Noodles 🍜 270/-
•1 plate of Pork Tofu Red Rice Wine 🥩 280/-
•2 bottles of Limca 60/-
The Golden Fried Pawns were so big in size and they gave us an extra prawn too 😋. The noodles they used were thin noodles, it has seafood, egg & chicken in it. The taste of the oil in the noodles was lip smacking. Last but not the least, the pork dish was made with rice & "real" tofu, so crispy yet so juicy.
We'll visit Chung Yaan again & again very soon.

2. Sweet and sour pork - dish was good but kinda sweet. Try to chilly pork that will be better.
3. Chicken wonton soup- very succulent.
Overall bill was 680/- , good budget friendly place.
They don't have air conditioning so might get very hot in summer.

This little corner restaurant in one of the bylanes of central Kolkata offers very delicious Chinese food. We discovered it while getting lost actually one night. The hostess was so welcoming and friendly. She made sure the food I ordered had no egg as I am allergic to egg but a huge non veg foodie nonetheless. The chef made me fresh and hot chicken dim sums and a lovely clear soup and some chillie garlic fish . The food was wholesome and fresh and very filling but the best part was all the members of the family run restaurant was out and about and seeing that we are enjoying the food and are satisfied with our meal.
A must visit place in Kolkata if you love authentic Chinese.

While visiting old Chinatown it's mandatory for me to visit a Chinese eatery. This time we planned to have lunch in Tung Nam, but due to Tuesday we ended up in Chung Yaan and trust me, it's an amazing experience. We had Pork Steamed Wonton and Sweet and Sour Pork. They prepare food just in front of you and served it piping hot. So naturally the waiting time is a bit high but the food is damn fresh. Pork is juicy, tender, amazingly cooked. Both the items were damn delicious.

Well, well, well... I'm thrilled to have discovered this hidden gem of a Chinese eating house that hits all the right spots! It may not be flashy or luxurious, but the food is simply awesome.
We ordered the BBQ Pork and Chicken Dumplings, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The dumplings were incredibly juicy, and the BBQ pork was perfection. (Check out the pics!)

After trying most of the Tangra and Park Street restaurants over the years, I kept searching for new options and that’s when I discovered this hidden gem in Central Kolkata. I decided to visit and ended up having one of the best Chinese dining experiences ever. Operated entirely by a Chinese team, the food was exceptional, the place was clean and well-maintained, the staff were very courteous, and the glass-covered kitchen provided a clear view of the cooking process. The Referee's Association canteen is a small dhaba like place to have cheap rice meals in the afternoon in the Esplanade bus stop area. It is frequented by lots of players and sportspeople from the Maidan, as well as journalists, police, bus-drivers, travellers, and students.
Chicken and veg stews (served in a platter along with local bread) are quite delicious. In the evenings, they serve foothpath-style chowmin, ghughni, and huge, grenade-sized egg and vegetable chops.
A great place to sit and talk in the evening: no one minds your presence as long as you're ordering a small cup of tea from time to time.
The canteen closes at 7.30 pm. and remains closed on Sunday.

Today was a “one for the books” kind of winter evening. Had to type out the review as soon as I got back.
Just stepping foot inside this beautiful property has a calming effect.
We are then directed to our seating and welcomed with a beautiful platter of small treats and a refreshing drink.
After a beautiful stroll around the property, we are served with a couple more carefully crafted mini treats.
The music is just right. Not too loud but good enough to carry the mood forward. The well trained staff very attentive but not hovering. Just small things that elevate an experience.
A round of carrom for us, badminton, card games etc for some others and after, we are served with a beautiful spread for the main course.
Desserts and warm coffee amongst starlit trees wraps up the evening. What a gorgeous way to spend a slow winter evening.
I am back home now, and happy and full as I type this out.

About 90 minutes out of the city of Calcutta, in Duttapukur, is the Bagan Farm. The highlights of my Sunday was:
- farm to table experience
- delicious food - an extensive SIX-course menu
- plush greenery
- games and outdoor activities

there’s an extensive menu from which i preordered and everything is made right there in the kitchens. The salads and vegetables are grown on the farm itself. You arrive around noon and have the first course. The amuse bouche is a picnic tray comprising the chef’s favourite bite-size flavourful hors d’oeuvres. I took an energising walk around the farm to see and experience a day on the farm - there’s a pond, the tree house, some goats and birds, you can also walk through the trees, try your hand at pottery, play basketball or badminton, to held digest and also to rebuild your appetite for The Pasture Plate or second course. You can repeat activities just to provide the much-needed intervals between the rest of the courses - soup and salad, the main course and of course, Dessert!!

Ideally, grab a bunch of your friends, and book the whole day out :) The farm to table menu is incredibly scrumptious and the food is never ending ! The people are warm, the space is cozy and did I mention the food ? It's really something! It's a great space to go with kids aswell as there are ample amount of place for them to be KIDs again.
