Also the pool pics on the site are very misleading...it's not that big and mostly shallow water pools for kids. The first room they gave us was very basic and we were shocked. No Refund for Early Departure – The worst part? We left early because our experience was ruined, and they refused to refund us for the unused nights. However it really was ruined on the last three nights when they had two rehearsals and a final party for the owners 80th birthday on our final night. They closed the pools leaving my kids extremely upset, then they made it impossible to get through to the beach on the night of it. They then played live music incredibly loud until very late making the room uninhabitable. When I asked if they can assist with the noise they basically said there is nothing they could do. The rooms we have are expensive and this is incredibly disappointing. Personally I think they should have closed the entire hotel down and not taken any bookings for the owners birthday party if it was going to be like this. Either way I feel like it’s a terrible waste of money on our behalf. I’d suggest if planning on booking here before they start construction or afterwards ensure that there are absolutely no events on during your stay, if we had known about this we would have pushed our holiday to avoid it.

We found the room to be quiet and house keeping are very efficient and make sure you have everything you need. Staff are so genuinely friendly and accommodating to all our needs. Buffet breakfast had a great selection of beautiful foods. The facilities are amazing. You are spoilt for choice at the restaurants. The spa is relaxing, highly recommend the Japanese head spa. The kids club and activities for the little ones are excellent, the foam party was a big hit as well as the numerous slides and tie die t-shirt activity. The sports/pool and recreation team were so welcoming and great with our son the entire time, big shout out to Riki at the archery! We really enjoyed our experience at the Teppanyaki restaurant, Jess and Juleek were fantastic hosts/chefs and our son loved the show. On the last night we had an amazing meal at Skai, the steak we ate was absolutely wonderful and the service by Doni was superb! The security team make you feel very safe. The gardens and pools are very well maintained by the team. There are no words to explain how beautiful this resort is. Our son had an accident at waterbomb water park and it was great that there is an onsite doctor/clinic at Padma when the needs arise. Looking forward to coming back next year.

The facilities were great, the service was excellent, and the staff were always friendly, greeting guests with smiles every time we passed by. In my opinion, the entire decking near the main pool needs replacing. The pool was quite cold, not sure if that can be improved somehow. The room service menu was quite limited. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, but a little too eager to have me move rooms on my departure day. The rooms were clean and spacious with an exclusive closet space, jacuzzi in the balcony,living room with an additional TV and ample seating/resting couches everywhere. We were welcomed with an iced cranberry beverage upon arrival which was very much required for the hot humid weather. Our check in was smooth and we opted for a room not with the pool view for more privacy. There was a fruit basket with banana,orange,snake fruit near the mini bar. A nice bowl of fresh flowers filled the living room with a natural fragrance. We really loved our welcome to the hotel and the room. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit juices, fruit cuts, yogurt, cereals, breads, croissants, assorted pastry, coffee/tea station. But there were very few vegetarian Savory options on display. Thankfully we received a menu card from the staff that listed vegetarian options to choose from. This helped us alot travelling with a toddler. Having soup options early in the morning not only helps kids health during such outings but also keeps them satiated. We are really thankful for the thoughtfully curated Vegetarian menu for those who are vegetarians. We loved their stroganoff, broccoli soup, blue cheese spaghetti and the cafe lattes served. The only issue was with the ambience,as there were no coolers and the fans didn't do justice to the high humid weather. Location was perfect for us....with a busy shopping street with multiple supermarkets and other restaurants closeby. Even the beach was at a walkable distance. Cabs booked always arrived on time and the road leading to the hotel is good too except that there is usually more traffic in this city. They have thoughtfully placed iced water, infused water near the hotel entrance which is unlike most other places where you need to look for water. This truly added a great touch. We'd love to revisit this place any other time we visit Bali.

The staff are all exceptional and go above and beyond to make you feel you are in a home away from home. One staff member that stood out above and beyond was Yuli, she is an absolute gem and we will be life long friends, I genuinely look forward to coming back and taking her and her partner out for dinner and can only hope she travels to Australia so I can extend the kindness and love she did for myself and my family. The food was exceptional in the hotel and also at the stones bar and grill where I had the best steak I’ve had in years and that’s saying allot as often I’m not disappointed by eating steak at restaurants. Another consideration we made was the location, we wanted a hub to start and end our days central to all the attractions whilst still being by the beach. The security was top notch, the long driveway from the main drag made the hotel quiet and secluded yet a short walking distance to the hustle and bustle of Kuta and the laid back Legian. I had planned to stay at another part of Bali on our next trip, but after experiencing the friendly homeliness of THE STONES, I will definitely be staying there again. 10/10 and thankyou to the stones for making our trip the best holiday we have ever had!

We stayed for four nights and spent two dinners in the hotel as both my partner and I loved their food. It was better than some of the meals we had local to the area. We spent one evening using their pool, the pool was freezing but the concept is nice- they have a bar and Wira served us a special cocktail that was amazing. His service and recommendations were excellent and he spent time to chat to us as well, although there were no other guests in the pool at that time. We didn't stay for long but the cocktail was at a very reasonable price and we really enjoyed it. With that said, all the staff are friendly in the hotel and I would give the service 10/10. If I had to point out any negative points, it would be the fact that we can hear people walking around when we are in the room, if you get easily distracted and can't sleep with the sound of footsteps, I wouldn't recommend because all the rooms are surrounding the pool and you will hear other guests walk by. It isn't the biggest hotel and doesn't give you the sense of privacy. We checked in & were given all the info we needed helped up to the room, each time we entered the lobby (I had a pram & baby) they would open both doors & greet us with a friendly hello. The cleaning staff were so amazing, our room was spotless after being made up & the toiletries offered were great as well as topped up as needed. The cleaning staff were friendly, professional & English was great to communicate. The grounds staff (hall way cleaners & pool staff) also amazing can not fault the customer service. The rooms were modern, the only down fall was the air condition in room wasn’t working very well it was fixed within the hour & if not they offered me another room. Another note the pool is quite cold as it does not get a lot of sun with the hotel blocking it, but great if you like a cold pool to refresh in the hot weather. The food - I ordered ribs and there was dismal meat on them. My daughter only ate the fries from her meal as the toastie was like rubber. Nasi goreng for the husband was okay though. Toddler didn’t eat his spaghetti. The atmosphere gets a huge rating because we had the restaurant to ourselves. Literally - beachfront. People pay big bucks for a private beachfront event and we got that with the empty restaurant to ourselves. Last note is the local wine cost $11AUD per glass!!!! Just no. Whoever owns and manages this place, it has HUGE potential but you aren’t doing anything about it at the moment. We eat out every night and unfortunately will not be back. We are not surprised this place is empty to be honest when restaurants on either side of it are packed. Such a shame because it’s such a beautiful looking place - we live local so we always support local and wanted to try this place out, but we’re left very dissapointed. The poor staff tried to offer free icecream to say sorry for the delay but at that point we were ready to leave. This place could be amazing if whoever is managing it was doing their job properly.

We have been waiting check in from 8am to 14:40pm in the lobby, no staff check with us. The room card is my friend’s name in another room. The Hotel is in an excellent position being close to the airport (10 mins by transfer) but no discernible disturbance heard. The hotel itself is very well maintained. Yes there are few bits and here that could do with a little maintenance but very little. The staff at the hotel are superb. Nothing is too much trouble. Check in was quick and easy after a long travel day. I relayed this to staff on check out. The pool staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping were also excellent. If we were being VERY particular then we would say that the breakfast buffet could offer a little better quality but that is a minor point and was easily made up for by the standard of food from the onsite restaurant which was superb and very good value for money. We were astounded what it didn't cost us to eat there :) The pool bar was also good value for money for a snack lunch and drinks. In short we would definitely recommend this hotel for either a short or extended stay. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

The pool/s aren't ideal the main pool feels like everyone is watching you and the jacuzzi is hot for the climate not ideal. Had friends that had randoms knock on their door in the middle of the night drunk and aggressive. The pool side hosts focused on the "hot" singles and not us normal people. At the pool bar, we were told we couldn’t charge a drink to our room. I had already checked in, provided three passports, and left my credit card on file, yet somehow this basic convenience wasn’t available. Never in my life have I experienced such a ridiculous policy at a so-called 5-star resort. Instead of relaxing, I had to walk back to the room, soaking wet, to get my card all because no one at check-in bothered to mention this policy. Completely unacceptable and embarrassing. Then came the final straw. On our second night, around 9:30pm, the room phone rang loudly — waking both my husband and our 7-month-old baby. It was the hotel about a transaction issue. We said we’d check it, but they called two more times, waking our baby each time. The noise was blaring, and the complete lack of consideration was infuriating. When my husband explained they had woken our child they laughed like it was a joke. I emailed the hotel regarding this and they didn’t even have the decency to reply. I gave them the opportunity to respond and nothing. I’m honestly devastated by how our stay has turned out. The first two nights have been stressful and exhausting instead of peaceful. I wish we could cancel the rest of our stay. To make matters worse, we have friends joining us soon, and I’m embarrassed to have recommended this resort. We only had a couple of issues which were dealt with efficiently and always to our satisfaction. My overall opinion for this fabulous hotel can be nothing more than 5 stars +. We will be back. The enhancement in the menu to food and drinks was fabulous the food quality brilliant but also matched by the superior service offered by Juni as Manager of the Roof Top Bar. She went above and beyond to welcome us back and we could not be happier that the standard has got better since our last visit. The DJ was a welcome change and music really fitted the setting and vibe of the bar. A sunset in Bali should be seen from this rooftop bar it really is memorable.

It’s small compared to other AVCs but the level of service, food and care is impressive. We loved our brekkie at the coffee club and appreciated to cheerful, friendly and helpful all the staff were. The kids loved their breakfast options and absolutely enjoyed the kids club. They have the best staff there namely Putra, Allya, Dani who go the extra mile to ensure the kids are engaged, happy and safe. From crafts, to games, to fish feeding and movie sessions (not to mention the slides, ball pit and rock climbing section) my 9,7 and 4 year old loved every bit of their time there. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Hideaway Spa. As soon as we were done with our deep tissue massaged, we were tempted to book another one. Unfortunately they were fully booked and I can understand why! Location wise, it is a busy strip of the beach, but we didn’t mind. We loved the beautiful sunsets and the waves the kids caught while body boarding. Already missing those evenings lounging by the Beach. So many good memories made here at AVC Legian. As an AVC member, I’m so happy with how this place is being managed and I can’t wait to visit again soon.
