It was absolutely amazing! Such a beautiful building and you can see the love and care this family pour into it. We wanted to see the famous Snails Ride for which Joyland is known for and we was not disappointed. There it was stood in glamour, opened in 1949 and still there to it's day. Has a theatre with great shows, funfair at the end of the Pier. Fun pub that is open seasonal. I didn't get to go in here but looked good. There is also a very large Amusement arcade. All staff in there seemed friendly. The view from the Pier was very nice, being able to overlook the sea in one direction and all of the hotels and attractions in another. We visited with 2 little kids and had an amazing time! Easy (free) parking on the street running alongside the coastline, easy walk down to the beach. Miles of sand, a lot of it dry and comfy to sit on, then some sections of pebbles, and as the sea goes out, more lovely sand. The beach was clean, though we did find a few bits of litter to pick up on our way out. We were there on a hot sunny day in late July, and it wasn't overly busy, loads of space to spread out and play. We arrived at 10am, and parked easily, though I suspect we'd have been a street or so further back if arriving around midday or later. No dogs on the beach (it may be that they're allowed outside of summer though?), so its safe for kids to play without fear of stepping in anything, or being knocked down by racing dogs. There's a lifeguard station, watching an area for swimming between flags, a splash pad (opens at 10am, kids loved it!), and a large pond for model boats. Adjacent to the beach, there are public toilets (near the Pier Hotel), and while a little smelly, they were fine for beachside public toilets. Outside these there are also 2 taps for rinsing feet etc. Overlooking the beach there is an arcade, an ice cream parlour (absolutely amazing!!) and a chip shop/cafe (chips were good). We also visited 2 days prior when it was raining, and had lunch in the storm house cafe (food sensibly priced and decent, nothing fancy but an easy place to stop in). The rain stopped, and we wandered the beach, toddler throwing stones at the waves, and playing in the drier sand. We had the beach to ourselves as far as we could see! I really don't think I can praise it enough, we had a great time and will be back! It's much more sedate than somewhere like Yarmouth, so if you're looking to avoid huge crowds and masses of people packed onto the beach, it's a superb place to go.

The facilities on offer here are actually fantastic but whats shocking is the condition they have let it slip to in such a short space of time since reopening. We were the first booking of the day but changing room floors were already filthy, there was poo on the benches in one of the family rooms. There is thick powdery mould all round filthy windows and up the wall in the kids splash zone. There is black mould over the tiles in the showers, this mould wipes of easily with a finger so it's not like it would be hard to clean but just goes to show how irregularly the place is getting wiped down. The large slides are unsupervised and the top floor is absolutely filthy and stained. There is also a camera over the top of one of the cubicles which my wife didn't notice until after undressing! Also there are signs asking you to remove your shoes before entering the changing rooms but there were two members of staff walking through in dirty trainers as we left. 26 million pounds mostly from tax payers to rebuild this place and provide something for the local people but clearly not enough money left over to hire cleaners or a competent management team to oversee the place. I complained to a junior manager who said they need to do better and he would pass it on but that's an unacceptable response given the nature of the business where basic hygiene should always be top of the agenda.

The burger was alright but not like it used to be, the patties are smaller and have less flavour than before (previous visits felt more like handmade patties with more character and flavour). The cod’s batter looked nice and crispy on the outside, but it was soggy on the inside; mushy peas were fine. The chips were the biggest disappointment, they were soggy and seemingly undercooked for both dishes, lacking the crispness they had on past visits. Atmosphere was the best part - pleasant dining area and a nice sea-side feel when the front doors were open, although staff closed them later because of the wind. We live out of county (travelled up for holiday from Essex) and always fancy some lovely and wholesome fresh seafood. Lovely little restaurant with super attentive and friendly waiting staff. Good atmosphere, but it does get busy, especially during peak season and peak times, so be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment. In 2023, we had my mom over from South Africa, and we had a summer break in Norfolk, so I booked with Chicos, and we all had very tasty and filling meals. It was well worth it. The service was great and we didn't have to wait too long and the food was served nice and warm. The dessert was yummy as well. In October 2024, again, we visited the local area (Hopton - a few miles down the coast from Yarmouth) for half-term and booked at Chicos again. This time, we felt the service was not up to their usual very high standards, as we waited longer than we normally would to get our food, and my son was absolutely ravenous, so it was a bit disappointing. We noted that they were busy that evening, so maybe that's why. When the food arrived, the portions were generous, but my son's fish was a bit overcooked and dry, and the batter was too thick and crispy for his liking. Booking was easy over the phone, they were v helpful when I asked about parking but as weather so was nice, we walked instead. They were fairly busy but our waitress, Sarah, was attentive. We paid £1300 for 1 week in what can only be considered as a Sun holiday rental at £100 per week. The van was clean but very old and tatty, for example the sofa was small and thread bear. TV so high on the wall it hurt your neck to look at it for a long period of time. We where quite excited because when you see the photos the van looks amazing but as you can see from below it's all very different to what you actually get. Plenty for the kids to do, great play park and arcade, never got to the pool as it's was fully booked a good 3 weeks before we arrived. You can do walk ins and the leave a healthy 55 places for this but recommended arriving 15 mins early to get a place. However when you have a kid with special needs getting them ready for the pool with the potential disappointment of not getting in wasn't worth the fuss. The arcade is very well stocked with some cracking games. Restaurants on site are pricey but what we did have was nice. Small shop (Nisa) on site. Short distance to beach, sadly the weather was not good enough for us to go there much. The amount of illegal class C drugs being smoked on site was a concern but maybe that's a problem with society as a whole other that this sites problem. Still there was a lot of butt ends around and the rather distinctive smell of cannabis being smoked all over the site, especially is the outside eating areas.

It’s only 5 minute drive to the beach, town and many attractions in Great Yarmouth. The kids enjoyed being on the park, the entertainment, and the play park was a huge hit. The food in the main restaurant is no more than average, but a bit overpriced. The pizza takeaway was quite good. We didn’t get to try the other food places because they were closed during the day.

Our holiday was completely ruined by the cleanliness of the caravan. To say it was filthy is an understatement! We complained as soon as we see it all only to be told the site is full and no other caravans available. If I hadn't had my 2 children with me and paid £700 I would of left there and then. I felt dirty all week even after showering every day. Since being home I have had to wash everything as the smell of dirt has gone on to all our belongings. The site itself is very run down and the food is awful. We wasn't the only one with problems as the 2 caravans near us also had major problems. I would never return here agian. The staff was just rude and said its near end of season so what do you expect? Is August not peak season so things should be done to keep on top of the cleanliness. If they offered a free holiday to go back I would politely decline.

Security worker was lovely. We were directed to our caravan . On inspection there were a few cleaning and maintenance issues but overall smelt clean and very spacious! Next morning I requested a re clean and maintenance and within 30 minutes we had two lovely ladies at our caravan looking around and taking pictures of maintenance issues. When we returned to the caravan a few hours later they had fixed all our issues and I even got a courtesy call after to ask if all was okay. I expressed my gratitude. This did not ruin our little holiday, we enjoyed the pools twice, entertainment , variety of food, arcades, play areas and the local beach and pier! I would definitely return and for longer. Our little boy did archery on the Sunday and Sian who ran it was absolutely amazing, so encouraging for him and really patient, please pass on how much Logan loved doing it and especially with her :) Swimming pool is amazing, slides and a splash park, this is perfect for children & it never felt too busy either which is great. All the staff we met were polite and friendly and seemed to really love working there which makes a nice change to a lot of places! We will definitely be back The Henderson’s

Visited for 4 nights from 3rd-7th November so really out of season. Even though it was off season there was still so much to do and it was not overwhelmingly busy with people. We had a beautiful caravan, wonderfully clean. The team couldn't do enough to help on arrival with ensuring we were happy with our accommodation. We have two small children, 6y/o and 10months, plenty to do on the site with nice parks, indoor soft play, water park, shop, cafe and restaurant. The daytime and evening entertainment kept my 6y/o enthralled with the seaside squad and wanting to come back every day. She actually didn't bother with the amusements as there was too much other stuff to do. Being in the sea front with only a 35 min walk to Yarmouth it's brilliantly located if you want to get out and about too. 100% could not fault our stay and will be booking again next year.

This last holiday hasn’t been the same though, although the caravan is nice, the oven is pretty much unusable, you can’t read the dials and it gets so hot you can’t open either doors. There is only 1 tray to cook with and no oven gloves. To the parks credit after we took this up with them, they sent over 2 more oven trays, but seemed pretty dismissive when we mentioned about the oven getting so hot. Our children didn’t burn themselves on it, but someone else’s will. I had to use bath towels to operate the oven. This isn’t on. During the evening entertainment this evening, my little girl stood in some human poo in the main marina bar!! We are 99% sure which child did this and who the parents are, but after we cleaned my poor little girl up in the toilets the parents and child had gone, we saw them laughing at the table after we could smell the poo but didn’t put 2 and 2 together until after we clean my daughter up. Her shoes have been put in the bin and she has no shoes for the rest of the holiday. We spoke to security and let them know what happened, but the poo was up all the chairs, on the vending machine and all in the carpet. It’s absolutely disgusting!!! We will come back after this trip? I’m not sure we will What a shame.

We had a brilliant stay at Haven and honestly couldn’t fault the experience. We booked a Bronze caravan and couldn’t have asked for more. It was spotless on arrival, well equipped, and had everything we needed. Shower pressure was great, having two toilets was a bonus, and Ganet 127 was in a perfect location right by the swimming pool. Check-in was effortless – we drove straight in and our number plate was recognised from the app, so we didn’t even need to get out of the car. Check-out was just as easy, with a simple key drop from the car on the way out. The site itself was extremely clean and well maintained, with facilities for anything you might have forgotten. Noise levels were minimal – we barely heard anything, though I can imagine it’s livelier in summer. Parking was convenient with one space right outside each caravan, and the electric vehicle chargers near the entrance were a great touch. The only downside was the temperamental heating. The instructions didn’t match the thermostat, and even when switched off, the heating tended to stay on. As it was cold outside, it wasn’t a huge issue, but the caravan did get too warm at times. We ate at several of the on-site restaurants and they were all lovely and reasonably priced. We also loved the little Choo Choo Train into town – £2 per person, every 20 minutes – and walked back in around 40 minutes. Overall, incredible value for money. It honestly makes me second-guess going to Centre Parcs in future. We would absolutely stay again!

We love coming to Haven Seashore, we try and come here every year and we always have a wonderful experience. Lots to do for kids of all ages, evening entertainment for adults, arcade, free softplay area, restaurants and food on the site but also Asda is a short drive away also. Swimming pool is great and the caravan park is right next to the beach. The site is also along the sea front so a little short drive down the road and you're at Yarmouths Pleasure Beach, crazy golf and more arcades and activities for the kids.

The smell on entering was diabolical, we had to buy furniture freshener to hide the smell. The furniture was so badly stained as was the floor. There was no way we could allow ourselves or the children to have nothing on our feet. The toilet seat should have been changed years ago it was absolutely a disgrace and had to be cleaned before allowing the children to use it. The bedding was clean and supplied for the 3 bedrooms, unfortunately for the 7/8 bed there was only sheets provided. There was plenty of crockery although one glass did have a crack in it which we placed out of reach of the children. As for cutlery, loads of knives, 7 forks and 5 dessert spoons. Luckily the weather was brilliant so we spent our time on the beach thank goodness.

There were only two of us and our dog so we had plenty of room. We read reviews about how uncomfortable some of the beds were It was not perfect but we slept fine. Very quiet and peaceful when we went as the school holidays had ended dogs not allowed in the show bar but allowed in the bar/ restaurant on the left hand side as you go in. Prices for food and reasonable. Our check in was 2pm other accommodation had different check in times. Lodge was clean and tidy lots of windows and patio doors so lots of natural light. Lots of wardrobe and cupboard space but not alot of hangers. Towels supplied but we always take extra. If you use a hairdryer take your own or you Can hire one. Everything you need in the kitchen lodge designed for 4 so only 4 of each cutlery, cups etc. A few knives in the knife block had their tips broken off. 2 things for myself that were on the downside were that I have arthritis in my knees : the sofa was low and difficult to get off and I could not use the hottub as its set in the decking which you can see on the pictures but didn't realise how deep it was so I could probably get in but would not get out even with help. There is a swimming pool and gym further up the site. Hemsby amusements 5/10 mins walk away. No shop on site. There is a very basic shop on a site opposite but we used the co op. No one there in reception on checkout as I just wanted to mention a few things. The knives with tips missing , battery's need in main bedroom remote and we had broken a glass washing up. All staff on site were friendly and helpful. Just a nice quiet holiday.

To start the absolute state of the chalet , black mould all over the doors and windows, the “wet room” turned into more like a swimming bath which ended up flooding the entire shower/bathroom with the drain for the shower popping out of the floor and a tone of dog hair and grey hair flooded the entire bathroom from the drain which led myself and my partner to clean out the entire bucket load of hair and dirt form the shower. The “sofa” I wouldn’t really call it a sofa more like a camp bed with the thinnest mattress could feel every single spring and beam underneath which led us to no sleep at all. The mattress in the bedroom were rock solid and you could feel every spring as well. Oh and my favorite part the constant two smells , firstly the constant smell of damp and BO that hit us as soon as we entered the chalet our clothes constantly smelt like damp which is absolute shocking. And the constant smell of Cannabis that hit us every moment of every day it flooded the entire chalet every day, every morning I would wake up to the most amazing smell of pure cannabis and every evening with my little sister asking constantly what that bad smell was 24/7. As we entered the chalet it looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in an extremely long time blood, dirt stains old tissues all over the floor the chairs covered in dry skin and nail polish. After speaking to customer service the women on the phone was extremely rude and spoke down to us like we were at a very lower standard to her. For the extortionate price you pay for this place you would expect at least some respect and a clean place to rest, we could’ve gone on an all inclusive holiday for the price we spent here. The only positive I would give this place is take the beach is not even a 10 minute walk away with lots to do with the little ones. I will not be coming again and I assure you I will be telling every one I know not to come here.
