The worst customer service that we have experienced in our entire stay here in NZ. April 29, 2025 - We had our WOF at auto super shoppe in Katikati and was advised that we need to replace our four (4) tyres. So we immediately sent an enquiry to Tony’s via email and received a quotation and a call from their call center and was advised that tyres need to order and it will take 4days to arrive, yes 4 days and NOT 5 days as what you are claiming now.
April 30, 2025 - We contacted Tony’s mt. manganui branch to placed an order for the tyres and provided the Quote no: 865563. We were told by that branch that our preferred tyres are not available, out of stock, and stop production and offered us a much expensive tyres. I find this weird as we were advised by the callcenter that it is available. So I called the call center immediately and told us that we were advised incorrectly because the mt. Manganui brach doesn’t have access to master file where you can check the list of available tyres. The callcenter told us that the tyres that we prefer is available and will take 4 days to arrive in the manganui branch. After hearing that, we proceed with the order and had a confirmed schedule for today May 8, 2025 at 10am at Mt. Manganui Branch.
May 6, 2025 - I called the callcenter to make sure that our schedule for may 8 is confirmed with same time. I was advised that “yes, it is confirmed” and we just have to go straight to the store on the scheduled date. Also, in the evening of may 6, 2025, we received a confirmation email on which we replied “Yes”.
May 8, 2025 - Thinking that everything is going according to the schedule, we left home at around 8:15am since we will be coming from Katikati and anticipating traffic because of road works in Omokoroa. On our way to the store, at exactly 8:37am, we received a call from manganui branch only to inform us that the tyres are not yet there. Less than 2 hours from our schedule, when we received the advise and that is ridiculously unacceptable. Dissapointing and very upsetting.
I understand that there are things that we can’t control such as storm (as what you’re claiming), but calling us and informing your customers ahead of time are obviously your responsibility. The fact that we ordered the tyres ahead of time means you have plenty of time to take actions if issues arise. Informing your customers ahead of time is basic customer service. Time is precious and when you are working in customer service and taking your responsibilities seriously, then you must display “Respect” to your customers time. Clearly, the mount manganui branch fell short on customer service. Very poor. If “Zero” score is available in the rating, I’ll absolutely give you that score, And personally, I will not recommend you to my friends and family members.
