Napier Museum is a must visit destination in Trivandrum. It is well maintained and the building in itself is a work of art.
The displays throughout the museum are quite interesting and will keep you intrigued throughout your visit.

The Napier museum has several other prominent places to see like the zoo around the same area. The museum is housed in a unique building 🏫 with ample greenery surrounding the place.
Excellent 👍 artifacts dorn the museum including a great collection of ivory pieces. Just outside is a collection of paintings along with a royal chariot.

The ticket price is 200 rupees for foreigners while it's only 30 rupees for local Indians, so it's almost 7 times more expensive than locals for me.
But I decided to look around inside, and it's worthwhile visiting just one time while you are in Trivandrum.
Most importantly, I have met so many beautiful locals who were so curious about me taking pictures together with them, what a memorable time mingling with genuinely welcoming Indian locals.
Again it's a lovely wooden house containing lots of artifacts from thousands yrs ago or unknown periods etc, and interestingly I noticed they had some Indonesian artifacts too.

Atmosphere is nice, nicely maintained garden. Inside is a bit old, some of the beam concrete have already fell down from the ceiling. You can look into the past there are some ancient artifacts. Also there's a dedicated staff to guide us through them. You can take photos but need permission to take videos!!! Idk weird, anyways spend some good time there, won't be disappointing.

Visited the museum with my family, this Natural History Museum is located with in Trivandrum zoo campus had huge collection of current and historical specimens of animals, plants, geology and more.It was established in 1964.The Completely Renovated Natural History Museum was inaugurated in 07 January 2021.

I visited this place for my 2 year old as it would help him understand some species up close and would help him when he goes to the zoo. Also it is inside a building so he will be able to walk a lot without much crowd. We went on a Saturday and rainy day. There was very little crowd almost 20 people or so. He loved the exhibits especially the wild animals but was afraid of the skeletons. He ran a lot from one exhibit to another and would address most birds as crow. He knew lion tiger and giraffe from his soft toys. Everything except snake and giraffe are stuffed live animals. They have maintained it well. Really good and would suggest others to see it

I visited there on weekday. Less crowded than usual, and it kept really need clean. Staffs and helpful, they kept the place beautiful with grass and plants. Guide available and they'll tell you about everything. The ticket cost 70/- and with chithralayam ticket it's 100. Old sculptures, guns, decorative items and things used in the palace iss kept here. Some of them is over 1000 years old and it's really exciting to visit to such a place. Overall enjoyed a lot. The inside photography cost 500 and I think that's reasonable, if all the items is real!! And I don't understand why 50 rupees for outside photography. Because you can click photos without a ticket, there's no one there to question it or asking ticket for photography outside. So I think that's not necessary at all. Overall a good experience. You can visit there sometime while visiting sreepadmanabha swmy temple, it situated nearly, especially if you're an history buff.

Th only thing you will like is the palace architecture.. there is an entry fee fo adults and even a mobile phone and camera. The palace is empty from inside, the rooms are empty without any artifacts except for some old furniture and 10 odd paintings.. the worst part is that management expects visitors to remove their footwear outside at the entry gate and no arrangement are made for their comfort.. the floor is very hot and my kids for skin burns.. request to management, you are taking a user convenience fee, pls think about visitors comfort.

The display of the paintings in the hall are well organised and maintained.
Oil paintings are in the main building in two floors. The building itself is very artistic, coloured white and terracotta.

Went on a weekday. No so much crowded, but yes it's a tourist place so there'll be crowd especially on Sundays. The ticket price google mentioned (200/-) is dfor foreigners and the ticket price for Indians is only 40(for adults). I only support zoo when they can provide better facilities for animals that they can't get them on forest. But I'm not sure about here, because most of the animals are always lay down like they don't have enough health, especially the lion,tiger & cheetah(pythons too). It seems they can barely walk. On the other hand the bear,deer, and hippos seems pretty healthy. So I'm not sure, maybe it's the time I went there.
The main problem is you can't clearly see most of the birds, I'm not sure till why they don't use glasses for clear visibility rather than the small grill, that you can barely see them. The white tiger was a suprise and he/she/they/them whatever was actually stunning. Most of the cages were empty (I'm actually glad for that). A 20 min walk through a"made up jungle" is actually good. The staffs always clean the place but be careful of the tree branch. The snakes non of them are even moving, I'm not sure if they alive or not for some reason. Anyway yeah as I mentioned earlier if you can provide better facilities for animals yes it's a good initiative. Unless it's cruelty.

Parasuramar, Brahma and Shiva’s sannidhis are constructed in a row. Both Parasuramar and Brahma sannidhis are facing north and Shiva’s sannidhi faces east. ARCHITECTURE
Parasurama Temple… The Parasuramar temple is Circular on plan. Parasuramar temple is built in vesara style with a Dravida dwitala vimanam. The temple was built with stone from adhistanam to prastaram. The temple is facing north and stands on an older adhistana. The adhistanam consists of jagathy, threpatta kumuda and pattikai. The bhitti starts with vedikai. The pilasters are of Brahmakantha pilaster with kalasam, kudam, lotus petals mandi. The prastaram consists of valapi, kapotam with nasikudus and vyyalavari. The friezes /Images of elephant, yazhi, and Lion are in the vyyalavari. The one tala vesara vimana with tala, greevam and vesara sigaram.
The stucco images of Brahma, Indra, Dakshinamurthy, and Narasimha are seen respectively on the north, east, south and west directions. This arrangement is common in Kerala temple architecture. The circular griva rests on the circular sikhara, domical appearance with nasikas on four sides. The vimanam is called as Sathuranga Kola Vimana style.
The interior of the shrine divided in to circular garbhagriha with the standing image of Parasurama and narrow mukha mandapa, that project out of the sanctum. The Shrine is a nirandhara type without a pradakshinapatha (without santharam). The temple has a namaskara mandapa with a pyramidal roof. The vimanam above the prastaram is of dravida style vesara vimanam with greevam and sigaram.
Brahma Temple… To the east of the Parasurama shrine stands the shrine for Brahma, with an eka tala Dravida vimana, which is square from the adhistana to sikhara. Brahma is with four heads, seated on padmasana, kamandalu and lotus flower are in two of the four hands, the other two hands being in the yoga mudra.
Shiva Temple… Next to the Brahma shrine is a circular shrine built in typical Dravida & Kerala style dedicated to Lord Shiva. It faces east and carries a conical tiled roof along the pradakshinapatha all around, there are eight stone columns, with wooden base. Both the inner and outer walls are made of granite. In front of the Siva shrine is the square elevated namaskara mandapa.
To the north of the Rishaba mandapam of Shiva’s shrine are the shrines dedicated to Matsyarmurti, Vedavyasa, and Subrahmaian. It is also an example of eka tala Dravida variety with square griva and sikhara. The sanctum sanctorum is on a pada bandha adhistanam with jagathy, muppattai kumudam and pattikai. The bhitti starts with vedikai. The vimana is of Dravida style eka tala vimana with greevam and sigaram.
There are two dwajasthambas, one for the Shiva and the other for the Parasurama Temple. The temple of Parasurama, Brahma and Matsya are rarely to be seen in South India.

Apart from that, the temple continues to be a truly divine and sacred place. The presence of the deity gives immense strength, hope, and inner peace. Despite the small concerns, I always feel blessed and spiritually recharged after visiting this temple. I visited the temple during the weekend on a Saturday in July month. Instantly fell in love with the atmosphere and calmness inside and around the temple. It's really a divine place and you get to see the lord Vishnu in a resting posture and the spirituality, architecture, cleanliness, security and the experience is top notch.
I took the vip darshan with a ₹500 ticket and with this you can get the closest to the idol. I went at 8 am and you can enter through any of the four gates. Tickets are avilable inside the temple. After security check at the entrance head straight to the ticket counter and then joined the queue. Within 30 mins I was infront of lord Vishnu and asked for his blessings. No rush, no pushing and ample time in front of the idol was allowed. Post the darshana, I got prasadam which was included in the ticket price. Then visited lord Ganesha as well which is withing the temple complex. My heart and mind was at peace and I sat there admiring the temple architecture and beauty.
Temple timing are displayed at the entrance and special puja ticket of around ₹3000 is also available. Best time for free darshana is to go early morning when the temple opens at 3am.

This is one of the oldest Golf Clubs in the continent. One will be really amazed to find something like this in the midst of the city. You can see shades of chinese architecture in the buildings and arena in the club too. However, they are poorly maintained. It isn't open for public but one can book it for function/parties and so on. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. There is a cafe, and there are also suit rooms available.. Pet's are not allowed and ironically, one can spot stray dogs here and there.

The TT charged me for ticketless travel, even though I had a ticket but I gracefully accepted the mistake and paid the fine. The service and hospitality at the hospital were excellent. Dr. Anitha deserves special mention for her exceptional care — her kindness and professionalism made us feel truly comfortable and at ease throughout the procedures. The nursing staff were equally kind, attentive, and professional. The insurance desk was highly efficient, and their prompt assistance greatly expedited the process.

Mostly Psc exams near the trivandrum places I go through this bus port also inside the bus complex we can eat , for several stores , to refresh our mind here so many juice shops , for eating something good hot foods are available here . Also I like here one shop which was built with the complaint bus there I visited so many times we get hot spicy foods , Tea , Coffee all are available there. Also waiting for eating food is my best thing and I like it.

Made us wait for 3 hours without informing they were waiting for doctor to come. This is after we told we don't want to wait for so long and agreed to show to another doctor. The tour was well organized, from the time that we landed at Kochi airport, to the time that we were dropped off on our last day.
As per the schedule, all items in our itinerary were covered, all accomodations were of acceptable, if not superior standards and the locations covered were exceptional. The houseboat ride was probably the highlight of the tour.
A very special thanks go to our driver and friend, Mr. Unni, who was a very patient and friendly individual. He took every precuation possible to ensure that our journey was safe, and made an extra effort each time to drive carefully in order to ensure the safety of the passengers.
As for suggestions, our only request is that we be prepared with the details of each activity in advance. As an example, it would have helped us if we were informed beforehand that the boat ride on the Thekkady wildlife sanctuary would involve wearing life-jackets and that the seats would be pre-allocated at the time of purchasing the tickets. Our expectations of the boat ride was also very high, and were disappointed that we were unable to see the kind of wildlife that we were expecting. This caused a minor inconvenience during our trip, and could have been avoided if we were informed beforehand.
Overall though, it was a very memorable trip that we will cherish for a very long time.

It was a super trip. Kalathil Resort was a nice stay.
Our Cab driver Mr. Unni was so friendly and guided through all tourist spots.
House boat stay was also nice.
Food in both resort and house boat were excellent.
My point-of-contact Subhash was reachable at anytime through Whats app and cleared all my travel related inquires instantly.
The only glitch was that, the Aqua Serene houseboat was bad compared to other house boats which I saw there. There is no entertainment. Made me felt like should have choosed some other House boats.
Overall it was a great trip and we didn't felt like roaming in our own city :)
