There may be a traffic near view point on week end we have to wait near 15 mins, but after that we can see the full beauty of the ooty view. We can cover almost full of the area from here. Stunning view is there try to be visit on sunny day otherwise mist may hide the view. Entry fee will be collected at the entry for vehicle and we have to pay 20 rs per head we can pay through UPI also. Many shops available there we can purchase small things. Restroom available here.

While returning from our Adiyogi trip from Bangalore, we noticed Doddabetta Peak was just around 100 km away so we thought, “why not stop for lunch there?” That quick stop turned into a full 2-day stay in Ooty, and it was one of the best spontaneous decisions ever! The ride up to Doddabetta Peak was amazing cool breeze, winding roads, and stunning views all the way. The peak itself is at such a height that the view from the top is absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed every bit of the journey and the peaceful vibe of the place. Definitely worth visiting if you’re anywhere near Ooty!

This is a really good view spot in Ooty and a must visit, it is the tallest point in the Nilgiris. The experience was decent, first you are supposed to buy a ticket, but before you get in line for the ticket, you have to enter the market, which had clothes and souvenirs. Kudos to the department officials and the numerous staff members who work tirelessly for the upkeep of this vast area... The garden layout is designed over 4 levels... 3D art museum, wax museum, dinosaur park, haunted house, amazon jungle, dashing cars, kids rides etc are good. Snow world is also nice but the jackets and gloves provided are not of good quality. 5D show is just okay.
Overall, visit this place if you have kids and are okay to shell out 650/- per head. Couples without kids, bachelors, senior citizens can skip this.

I went there without any expectations and was skeptic about the ticket price ₹100, but it came out to be worth it. There's a lot of spots inside which has its own unique vibe. It's a very nice place for families, for taking photos since there numerous places to take a picture.
The place was clean and well maintained. I went on a weekday and it was not crowded. Some construction was still going on but the planning is truly good.

Deer Park is one of the lesser known tourist attractions in Ooty.
Consider this - it is adjacent to the Ooty Lake (a km or so drive to the periphery of the long, alonside the lake). While boat house is completely packed with tourists - something as wonderful as an opportunity to see deers in the green goes unnoticed with only a tricle of tourists coming to see it.
We noted two reasons for this:
1. Unlike other tourist attractions this is not promoted well. You are on your own to discover it from outside and the inside.
2. The park as such does not seem to have even a reception at the entrance to guide where to go. We visited the Pine Forest in Ooty in March, arriving around 5 PM, just before it closed. It was the perfect time to go, as the evening light made the entire area look stunning.
The entry ticket was only Rs. 30, which is excellent value. The forest itself is incredibly scenic, with tall pine trees that are perfect for photos and videos. We also saw many monkeys on the trees and along the path, which was a nice surprise.

Visited the Tamil Nadu Tourism Boat House during my trip to Ooty. The location is beautiful, right by the scenic Ooty Lake, and the surroundings are quite peaceful. The boating itself was enjoyable — we tried the pedal boat and had a relaxing 30-minute ride on the water.
However, the lake water was quite dirty, with visible litter and a foul smell in some areas. It took away from the natural beauty and made the experience feel a bit disappointing. Great Caddies. Amazing location. Tiring slopes. Feel sorry that we were the only golfers there. And yet, despite our offering to pay green fees for a friend who had driven us around, the management were adamant that non golfers couldn't walk around. So just played 9 holes and didn't return. Quite a neglected course.. but very picturesque. A colonial mindset perhaps. How do you encourage people to play golf if you shoo them away. We had a few references from friends... but yet paid the full visitors fees as the front desk said they'd have to hear from them directly.. (that's fair enough) but the attitude was not right in my opinion. I've chaired a club for over 6 years and have been on committees for 20 years, am a member in a IGF course...and have attended R&A conventions....with this attitude, golf in Ooty could die out.

It’s one of a kind lifetime experience one must not miss, because it’s in India we under rate it I feel. Extremely beautiful landscapes to see through train window. The whole journey is surreal with breath taking lush greenery. It’s feast to eyes!!
Prior booking is advisable for a smooth journey, it was quite crowded when we went, though we had a ticket we had squeeze & sit.
We got the ticket 🎟️ at the last moment, that day we had to leave back to Bangalore, thank god we got them or else we would have missed such a beautiful sight seeing here!

U must take that steam engine toy train at least once in your lifetime. It's stunning. The route that train travels is really wonderful. No words to explain. Ooty to Mettupalayam or Mettupalayam to ooty, train tickets will be available, you should book a ticket prior to travel through the irctc website. We visited the tea plantation during our trip to Ooty. The place is undeniably beautiful, with scenic views and lush greenery. However, there’s a mandatory entry fee of Rs. 20 per person, and an additional Rs. 40 if you’re carrying a camera, which felt a bit unreasonable considering most visitors spend only about 10 minutes here, mainly for photos. Also, note that the fee is cash-only.
The path has a noticeable incline, so wearing proper footwear is recommended. There’s a small shop and a cozy tea/snack café at the top, which is a nice spot to relax and enjoy the view.

I had a very great experience visiting the Tea factory & Museum ,you all get to see how tea's are made lively inside this factor and instructors explain very well about the process as well , the entry fee is 20 RS which is very reasonable and they give you the sample taste of real tea which is made from the factory and trust me you the real tea's taste is completely different from what we used to drink in our home . You can get to buy lot of different varieties of tea's inside the factory also chocolates as well. Must visit if you are an chai lover and I'm sure you will end up buying sacks of different varieties of teas
