Red bartsia and yellow rattle to promote species diversity, yarrow, birds foot trefoil, hedge bedstraw, ragwort, knapweed , thistle, mugwort, teasel, viburnum, butterfly bush, blackthorn cross, plus the expected native Scottish trees. Fantastic biodiversity all with stunning views plus bird calls in the fields & from the estuary.

Went to Broughty Castle museum for the first time since i was a child, and have to say that i was very impressed. Free entry on certain days and a guide takes you underground and gives details about the castle's history. Then you explore the upper levels in your own time. A nice gift shop, very friendly staff and lots of artifacts to see and read about. Lovely paintings in the gallery, and the observation area gives a panoramic view of the river Tay. There is also a play area for kids to play too. I would recommend visiting.

I would love to give this beautiful castle 5 stars, but it just needs a little touching up. Used to be a military castle, but now houses many exhibitions over 4 floors. The information provided was detailed and interesting with a focus on Broughty Ferry and it's delightful history. Really nice castle with a little bit of history on each floor and a gallery. The highlight is definitely the views up and down the Tay from the elevated vantage point of the castle grounds. It's a fortified castle rather than a family pile so don't expect grand dining rooms or anything like that but still well worth a visit. Stars are narrow and steep so be prepared and there's no other way up or down. It's an old castle and that's just how it was built. I've added a pic of the stairs to let you see. I visited on a weekday during school holidays and while the castle wasn't busy Broughty Ferry is a bit of a destination for tourists and people coming out of the city to enjoy it beach so parking is limited when it's sunny. I parked a couple of streets away which due to the way the Ferry is layed out was only a couple of minutes of a walk to get to the castle. Oh and it's free!

CamperTown Country Park is a really great spot for barbecues and family time. We’ve been there many times and always enjoyed the space and calm atmosphere. It’s nice that you can even drive inside the park — makes it easy to bring everything you need. The place feels peaceful and safe. This has to be one of the best play grounds in Scotland that I have ever come across. I was already good and then I was further extended a couple of years ago. There are plenty of parking and also toilet facilties available. You will also find plenty of seating in various forms. The setting within the Camperdown Park is also pretty incredible and to just wander through and take in. Top marks and a must visit if you're in Dundee and have young and even toddlers. We were there at 8.30am and it was getting cleaned and tidied up by the council cleaning which was good to see. All the activities the kids went on, 3 yr and 6 yr old was functioning perfectly. Great way to spend a few hours 👍

This is such a wee gem of a place! We went in the middle of winter and it was about -2°C and we still saw so many animals.
It was so reasonably price. I’m not sure what normal prices are but for two adults, a child and a baby, we only paid £10!
There was a great wee quiz you can do as you go round.
The staff seemed lovely and the animals looked very well taken care of.
I reckon that this place will be even better in the summer. We hope to go back.

Great day out for everyone, only £6 for kids and OAPs, £9 for adults and £30 for a family of 2 adults and 3 kids, lots of lovely animals to see, beautiful trees and woodland walks too with picnic areas, there's also a nice wee cafe and nice clean toilets. The tickets were cheaper on the door than buying online.
As to be expected some animals were hiding away. Some of the enclosures are pretty overgrown which also means you can’t see as much as you might like to. The bears look really healthy and happy.
The cafe was extortionate. The food was acceptable but a simple sandwich was over £7, baked potato over £10.
Overall all a good little park, plenty of animals to see. I’d probably take a picnic if I visited again!

Love this place it has a lovely laid back vibe and is abundant with inpendant shops, plenty of food, and drink options for a huge variety of people. It has that village feeling that made me feel at home straight away. The castle is a must to visit and photo op!! Then there is the beach talk about a bonus. Walking along this beach instantly throws into holiday mode it is lovely, and you don't have to walk on the sand because there is a pavement running alongside the beach. We booked one of their marquees for our annual company BBQ. The entire process was very easy & the staff on site were great. We had a roll delivery come earlier than expected and they took it in for us and called to say it had arrived. Left us to our set up but stopped in to see if we needed help with anything. And we invited them round for food which they took us up on and it was great being able to socialise, even for 20 minutes with them and give everyone a good feed. Would definitely book the space again, perfect if you have kids to your event as the marquee goes straight into the play park.

It was a cold, winter afternoon when Caber and I wandered around the park and we were the only ones there, along with the ducks 🙂 I can however, imagine it's popular in better weather and when the cafe is open.
There does seem to be plenty of activity adventures on offer, including fishing. So, definitely worth a visit for families with kids, or those still kids at heart...and a dog walkers paradise. Also a great wee place to have a picnic.

An open grass space is most of it, the other part is a series of little gardens. The gardens are pleasant, we were there in April so I suspect the blooms would be greater in the high summer. Some of the gardens are inspired by other parts of the world, though to be honest you wouldn't know that for most of them without reading the signs. The American one in particular, apparently that country is just grass?!! That aside they are nice spaces and on a good day a fine place to relax for a while.

Good venue. Organisation and restrictions prevented us from going to the whole day. No entry allowed. No seats? I can't stand for hours at a time and I am sure others were the same so the venu lost out. Dundee is a super city and the whole place was a buzz with the people like me who had to restrict the time spent standing during the gig. It’s a lovely open green space with beautiful views, very grateful to have this on my door step, but also wish they did something more with the space to make it more cosy. It is so huge it feels a tad unimaginative and gets very very windy and cold. A room packed with surprises, hidden away and open on Friday afternoons in the summer (though the winter would be better!). There was a nice man staffing it when we went. There were games on paper for children to fill in but he was very tolerant of our rather more excitable "Can you find the...." made up game. Strange little place which comes up at you out of nowhere.
It has speakers in the metal part which blare a variety of ocean based sounds at you, from barge horns to whale sounds. The structures in that area are all metal which flowing which is meant to remind if the see (I think). There is also some screens with images from the past, all sea/harbour themed.
The little fountains are cool, the size of the spray varies in sequence and there are lights under them, which will be more prominent at night.
The garden part seems to be apeing a sand dune area.
Parts of it are arty and perhaps went above my head, but it's for sure a nice are to spend half an hour in.

The Gym is good, small, compact & quiet usually, but the Slot Sessions are OTT. I should be able to use the Gym regardless of whether there's a class in or not. I was informed the Slots weren't strict when I first joined & were only there to let people know of whom was in the building.
