The first dish was good. I was expecting it to be salty. It was creamy, with four flavours all taking their turns to excite your taste buds. The second dish was so fresh and seasonal. We have done a lot of tasting menus over the years and have been lucky enough to visit several with one and two Michelin stars, and honestly this was the best we have experienced. Staff were extremely attentive and could not do enough for you.The menu seemed very simple at first glance with a brief description of the key ingredients, which added to the excitement of what it would look like and taste like. Each course was beautifully presented and the staff would explain exactly what you were eating. Speed of service was excellent too, maybe ten minutes between courses. There was also an excellent choice of drinks on offer, soft drinks, cocktails and wine. If anyone ever thought vegan food was boring then just visit Land and see how wonderful plant based food can be. I have been vegetarian/vegan for forty plus years and I have never experienced anything like this. A perfect afternoon of great Company with a wonderful friend and amazing food. We particularly enjoyed the artichoke starter, the beetroot course and the squash course and I must mention the gorgeous warm sourdough bread with herb butter. It truly is! The service is impeccable. The drinks are delicious. The food is perfect. I had wanted to visit for a long time and it did not disappoint. We went for an a la carte 3 course lunch and on top of this there were some snacks provided in the lounge before you are seated in the restaurant. The snacks were incredible, as was the lunch! In the resturant, the sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable - chatting to us about the up coming English sparkling wines. After lunch we returned to the lounge for petit fours - which like the rest of the food we had, were stunning, and paired these with a tasty cocktail. There are some classics (negroni, old fashioned - went down well after lunch!) and also some different cocktails (i triend one featuring chocolate wine and loved it). Then it was time to leave, all in i think our lunch experience took around 2 to 2 and a half hours.... and although I was perfectly full i didn't want to leave as I wanted to stay and try everything!

The menu itself has a nice amount of variation in it and had some really tasty dishes: the badami korma and aloo tuk were particular favourites of mine and my partner loved the after eight style dessert. There was a short 20 min wait to enter, but we were expecting longer, so we were more than happy to wait. After 15 mins o got a text to say the table is ready. My partner ordered the thighs & tots and was very impressed with the meal. I thought her portion size was great too. I had the Bonehead Burger & Katsu Tots, and in the end I was a little jealous of my partners order instead. The burger was good, I wasn’t overly keen on some of the flavours of the sauce on the burger. I thought the Katsu sauce was a little sweet & not even on the tots, just a dollop underneath the garnish. Overall i thought it was okay. If I was to come back I’d 100% get the thighs on their own as it’s not only a bigger potion, but cheaper too. I’d also go for a different flavour tots. The gravy was really nice too. You maybe lucky to find parking locally, but there's motorcycling parking right next to it. We were seated quickly with and the atmosphere is lovely inside and out. On good days there is seating outside. There's lots of drinks and food options which was a nice surprise. The menu has a fair number of vegetarian options available. Food arrived quickly and was nicer than I expected. It's a nice place to come to sadly the staff really need a moral boost. Never have i had to queue to get in to a cafe, but the wait wasnt too long. A cosy welcoming little cafe seems family run and the staff are very nice and friendly. We opted for the Full breakfast at £14.95, with 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 poached eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and 2 toast, you are able to have omelette instead of the poached eggs. They have an extensive menu and watching all the different food coming out, all of which looke delicious. Our breakfast certainly hit the spot before we went shopping and all the ingredients were fresh and good quality, my wife commented that her sausages were the best she had in ages. A very nice little old school cafe which is well worth a visit. Not many of these quaint cafes left. The only reason i gave 4 stars was i dont like mushrooms or tomatoes.

Approx 5 minutes walk from Jewellery Quarter train station. It was recommended to us by the repair guy in A&A jewellery repair. So glad we listened to his advice. We went Thursday lunch around 1pm it was pretty quite. It was slightly disconcerting at first as the sports bar was empty but then we could see people further in so we ventured forth. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress called Kelly and seated quickly. We were left alone with just the right amount of time to order. We chose Coke Zero and a Cherry Pop Mocktail, it was delicious. To eat we shared a meat feast pizza, Cajun fries and triple cooked chips topped with shredded roast chicken and gravy. Everything was piping hot and absolutely delicious. All served in a good amount of time. The pizza was fresh out of the pizza oven next to where we sat smelled and tasted amazing. The Cajun seasoning was the perfect heat and flavour for me. (Would have been too spicy for my mom who would struggle with anything but salt and vinegar). The star was the triple cooked chips topped with chicken and gravy. I could eat it for days. Chips were beautifully soft and the chicken tasted perfect. It was packed so you definitely should book a table. We shared a mezze of vegan dishes. Falafels which were crispy but light and fluffy inside and perfectly spiced. We weren't shown a menu for the wine flight or offered it which made us think we may find it disappointing so opted to sharw a bottle od wine instead. We were recommended a chilled red which is bottled locally and again this was really good. We had a glass of a lovely dessert wine with our sweet courses which we both loved and paired well. Standouts for me were the pickle tray (popadom pickle tray flavours served with a sorbet in a lime), fruit and nut 1926 (chocolate lovers heaven) and the cheese course which was stunning. Service was good and attentive, we didn't have to think about a thing. We had relaxed and chatty service from two of our waiting staff, others seemed to be newer/less confident and less chatty/able to talk about the food. This didn't put us off but just didn't quite match the quality of the food. Overall we had a really special and memorable experience, would recommend for a special occasion. We would love to return.

We've been coming to Eat Vietnam for ages now and honestly, the food is consistently fantastic. We've never had a bad meal here, which says a lot. The delicious food is a mix of Vietnamese cuisine (if you know what to order) and Vietnamese fusion. The vegetarian, vegan, pescetarian offerings are exceptional and so much better than when they first opened several years ago - the menu is literally unrecognisable. We tried the turmeric fish noodle plate, tofu curry, vietnamese salad, peanut marmite cauliflower wings, courgette special, aubergine special, salt & pepper tofu - it was some of the best food i've ever eaten. The carnivores in our group also ordered lots of the meat specials (pork ends, bbq chicken, pork belly,) and were raving about their food. We received exceptional service from good humoured and patient waiters. Be aware there is an open kitchen so the smells from it can linger on clothing/hair. Also some of dishes (the noodle plates) are cooked at room temperature as is traditional, and mentioned on the menu. The atmosphere is loud, busy, casual, lively - just like in Vietnam! We had neurodiverse people in our group, and they were fine with their Loop earplugs. If you know what to expect and love tasty food with loads of options, do give it a try - highly recommended!

I really liked this bakery and the staff are so so nice. However, since they expanded the bakery, it’s just become chaotic. They’ve lost some nice staff due to not accommodating for the expansion. For example, they should have made a separate coffee bar so that there is space for a bigger coffee machine for at least 2x staff to focus on hot drinks. 1 poor staff member sweating over trying to make the whole bakery’s coffees and all the takeaway drinks. Freeing up space by having a separate drinks making space would allow for more space in the front for 2x tills as there are cues now. Only 1x till also means that another staff member is stuck by themselves dealing with orders, takeaways and all the online orders. The staff honestly look quite stressed, I really feel for them. Especially as they are so nice to me, and a few of the female staff I get on well with. Once this is addressed it would be back to 5 stars as a rating! Other than that, the bakery items are good quality, food is really nice, creative flavours although quite pricey these days. I would not want to pay more if the prices went up further. The coffee is also quite nice and I really like the in house creations such as the miso caramel which you can also buy in store!

The fact that I travelled from Solihull to Kings Heath just to buy all these and yet I was given a poor service is beyond shocking. Can you imagine my disappointment?

I’ve done both bottomless brunch and a regular dining visit and couldn’t recommend both enough! Service is always excellent and attentive by staff. Carafes of water are regularly refilled and drinks take no time to come out at all. The pasta is the real star here, though. Handmade on-site (seriously, if you walk past early enough you can see the magic happen!) and always tasty. I went for dinner the first night after a long day of travel and was looking for something healthy and light. Had the burrata salad as a starter and then the cod for my entree. Both dishes were fantastic! The next morning I headed down for breakfast as many others did. Was seated quickly even though there was a line up and my English breakfast came out quick. I was also able to get the continental options as well which was nice. After a long work day I was considering room service but decided to head down to Issac’s again for something small. Got the small order of wings and a side of truffle fries. Wings were delicious, fries were ok. I was expecting fresh cut fries but this was not the case sadly. The service during each visit was a tad off. I had to head to the bar the two times I went for dinner in order to be noticed when I arrived and both times staff seemed frazzled. Getting someone to come to the table to ask for my bill was also a bit daunting at times. Staff tended to hang out at the bar and would forget to check back in which meant you were left waiting. But she was very impatient and not willing to explain the difference between the steak night menu and the other steaks on the menu. Later, when I asked for a lighter to light the candles, the waitress and her colleague refused and said that if anything happened to us as a result of having the cake, it would be their responsibility. But honestly, the lack of hospitality and the repeated attitude genuinely got to me. I had enjoyed this place in the past, but with the current staff, I will not return and cannot recommend it. When my chicken arrived I told the waiter how terrible the service had been and refused to eat the food after my companions had eaten over half an hour ago. He offered the chicken free of charge but I still did not want it. The cooks seemed to be preparing endless take-always while the customers in the restaurants were kept waiting. We noticed that the waitress who had served our drinks then started cooking in the kitchen. Why was there such a delay in serving the drinks and food. We still had 15 minutes left of our 90 minutes, which we believed we could have easily had one more order. I have been to most of the bottomless brunches in Birmingham and also other places in the UK and usually the last order is taken at the end of the brunch. When we questioned this, we were advised that our time started from when we started drinking, so my friend stated that we placed our drinks order at 2pm and didn't start drinking til after 2pm if that was the policy and the waitress said "well I took your order at 2pm." I can't say enough positive words about how great everything was. From the very first meeting, Chelsea and Jack were absolute professionals and made organising the whole day feel simple, achievable and organised. We had over 100 guests over the course of the day, with sit-down meals, buffets, drinks and more to figure out. The team at the Distillery spent lots of time helping us to plan all of this, asked great questions we hadn't thought of, and accommodated all of our requests and gave advice when we weren't sure. The venue is brilliant and our guests kept commenting on how perfect it was. The food was great too and the service in particular was fantastic: the team ensured that my partner and I didn't need to worry about anything on the day, and they were discreet, helpful and friendly. We had 20 children running around the venue at some points of the day – difficult to handle at the best of times, but the Distillery handled it flawlessly. We were super happy with every aspect of the day and couldn't have picked a better venue. If you're considering having a wedding or similar celebration, definitely consider the Distillery! Great location, beautiful venue, fantastic food/drink and the staff will look after you and make sure it goes exactly how you want it to.
