I liked the mini Santa head mugs they used for shots 😂 The restrooms are gender neutral for anyone who may be taken aback without knowing ahead of time. Unfortunately because of that it smelled strongly of urine and I imagine it’s hard to stay on top of when it’s really busy. The main areas they kept clean and were fast at turning over the tables for more guests/keeping your areas clear of used glasses. This is a great spot to prefunk prior to other events, just to grab a drink, or visit during the holiday season to get your festive fix!

Its standing room only on the ground floor and a few tables that fill up quick on the 2nd floor. 1st floor can get packed. But they do a good job of keeping airflow going and the restrooms are clean. The line to get in easily wraps around the building so its nice that there are lots of places nearby to wait for the line to go down. Audio mixing can be really hit or miss though. Overall if you have an artist you want to see here, its worth it since you can get really close to the stage. And buy earplugs from the bar, its cheap and worth it to avoid hearing loss from standing under speakers

The service on the other hand is the only thing that DOESNT execute. My bar tender had to ask me about 10 different times if my order was correct and then ended up forgetting half the order. I ended up getting two margaritas, 2 different orders of tacos one with chips and salsa on the side and one with beans and rice on the side, which we never received. The tacos are super mid they taste like a cheap version of Taco Bell and their margaritas are just simply not worth it. I ended up being charged 10$ over what I was supposed to the two tacos plus rice and beans were 10$ so were two tacos and add chips and salsa, the margaritas were 11$ each which should be 42$ we got charges 54$ total . I'd save your good buck on something better. TOTAL SCAM!! There was also a group of 5 girls directly next to us getting free drinks from the bar tender "Tyler" for over an hour which just seems super unusual.

We stopped by Foreign National on a Saturday evening around 7:30 PM and there was a huge line of people waiting to get in there. We thought the line may get better later so went else where for dinner and came back again at 9:30 PM to see the line was pretty long on a cold night. This time we decided to hang around and were hopeful the line would move relatively quicker - but NO we were wrong. We got into the bar at 11:10 PM and were honestly not happy about the wait time. Once you walk in, the place is tiny with cozy tables. The place was loud and noisy to have conversations with your friends. We wasted no time and ordered our drinks (in fact we placed 2 rounds at once cos they were taking their last order at 11:30PM). We ordered the following drinks: Foreign National Cocktail: Crisp refreshing and floral notes. This was a delicious Quebranta based cocktail. Was a crowd favorite. Ambrosia: Delicious rum based cocktail with mild flavors of cardamom, raspberry and balsamic. Another crowd fav. Singapore Sling: Juicy boozy gin based fruity cocktail. Great if in the mood for a fruity cocktail. Refreshing. Silk Road: Coconut milk and rum based mildly spiced deliciously creamy cocktail. Knoble Steed: Rye Bourbon based cocktail tasked similar to a Manhattan. It was still good though. This place is best for a group of only 2 or 4 (maybe). They have only 1 big table that can accommodate a group of 6 so good luck getting that for your group. While we loved all our cocktails, the only reason I take a star off their rating is cos of the insane wait times. They do not take reservations and also do not take down names when you show up. So all you got to do is wait in line for some one some time to open the door for you to be seated. Nobody keeps you posted about the approx wait times. It could be 10 mins, 2 hrs or none. You never know. Maybe start reservations with a $25 deposit amount I dont know but do something to make it enticing for us to come back. Enjoyed the cocktails here but will come back on a weekday to skip the crazy lines or when they figure out their reservation system.

As someone who has worked in the service industry, I get off nights or days when you don’t have enough staff, however when you’re rude for no reason to my friend after a 25-30 minute wait to order and double checking IDs cause it took so long between checking them the 1st time and taking orders, it then becomes worth the time I guess. There were two bartenders, and only one actually tending bar despite a line of people. It wasn’t even that busy, but pretty inefficient (and yeah I get making cocktails with fresh ingredients can take a little time) cause that line took almost a half hour. We (a small group of queer and BIPOC folks in our 30s) were told to order at the bar via the line unless we sat at the bar which we did. Once the bartender came over, they asked to see our IDs again after the other person already checked them 20 minutes earlier, and then loudly complained to us about how much they hated our Oregon IDs - c’mon, really? When it came to my friend’s order they asked about dessert and the bartender sarcastically responded “whiskey” even though it mentioned dessert on the back. They then asked about tea and again the bartender practically scoffed even though their only food menu is dim sum. Tea is typically served with dim sum, so the shock at the question was rude and also just uneducated. Very unwelcoming experience.
