Made reservations online which was very easy dinner was a little late because it was a Saturday and that was understandable. 830 dinner reservations. we arrived 10 min early and waited 10 min after our arrival time. I’m in town hanging out with some friends and they made this suggestion on a good place for a sit down meal. Totally worth it. As far as a stake restaurant in Sacramento, this was a good choice. They have a pretty decent selection of different kinds of meats, whether you’re looking for a ribeye, skirt, steak, salmon, or even swordfish; it’s a good selection. Every steak comes with a handful of potato chips. I decided to have a ribeye and it was cooked almost perfectly. Based on my tastes, it was a little under salted, but totally worth it. I also got the brussels sprouts as well as the mac & cheese, and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was dim and spacious. They’ve done a wonderful job at keeping it simple and clean. They have a decent selection of cocktails and mixed drinks. We were even able to watch part of the football game up on the TV while waiting for our seats at the bar. I was able to have a great conversation without feeling like others were overhearing it. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The only critique I have was that my waiter was so busy he didn’t make it to our table as often as I think we needed him. But that’s understandable. Upon entering the restaurant on a Tuesday evening they asked if I had a reservation and because I did not it would be a wait even though the restaurant was mostly empty. We sat in the bar area and ordered drinks to wait on a table. During that time I quickly got on the app and made a reservation for the restaurant. I informed the serving staff and they came to seat me in 15 minutes after I closed up my tab at the bar. We were seated in the back and then it took an additional 15 to 20 minutes for our server to arrive. Overall me and my daughter were quite frustrated because we had been sitting for almost an hour without food or service at a restaurant that comes highly recommended. I brought my frustrations up with the waiter who quickly tried to change the atmosphere by allowing us to order quickly. Our waiter made sure that the salad was great and the rest of our drinks were done appropriately. I ordered a ribeye cooked to medium how well it came out well done. My daughter appreciated that her Burger was well done. Crabcakes - 2/10, have had better crab cakes from the frozen section. For our meal, my wife and I both ordered the Ribeye (medium rare for me and medium for her) and added on the Lobster tail. We also had the bacon/bleu cheese jam, whipped potatoes, and mushrooms for accompaniments/sides. The ribeyes were overcooked and tough. These are supposed to be Prime steaks, but they were not good. There was not a stitch of salt or pepper. It seems like they rely on the sauces/crusts/sides to provide flavor. I cooked Choice NY strips for my kids before coming out and I would have rather had that. Ribeyes - 2/10 - Not even salting steaks before cooking is an unforgivable sin. The Lobsters were bland, like they were just boiled and put on a plate. Seasoning was lacking and a little color would have made it better, a little sear or grill or something. Just driving by you could miss it but try and stop by for a beautiful bar with great vibes. They have various drink options and food, and we could see tables for dinning and an area where it seemed like patrons were cooking their own food! I would recommend this restaurant if you enjoy the company you are with since small bites are offered. The salad bar was nice but not the highest quality. In our opinion, the meat is a hit or miss. Some of the cuts were well done while others were divine (the lamb). Yet, the highlight of the night were the desserts. We still talk about them because they were the best we've had at a restaurant. They’ve lowered their prices, started opening for lunch, and seem to be in the middle of a full rebrand. We tried their lunch special at $25.90 per person, which is honestly an incredible deal. The portions were so generous that we filled up before we could even try them all… and this wasn’t even the premium, full experience! The salad bar alone is worth a visit. It had a great variety, even including hot dishes like beef stew and chicken stroganoff. Still thinking about those yucca fries! Erika took such great care of us—attentive, warm, and genuinely kind. Even though it was just a casual weekday lunch for us, she made us feel like we were celebrating something special.
