The park also has a nice kids play zone which has slides, swings, zipline and more. There is a nice hill that you can climb for a good view of the city there are ice cream and food truck. The walk starts off a little boring and mostly boring hills but once you’re in the actual park it’s a very nice nature walk. You can go to the pond first if you’d like but you can skip the pond and go straight to the river for more nature action. Staying on the paved path will lead you to the river. Explore mini trail walks in and around the park, it’s fairly easy to get back on track so don’t worry too much about getting lost. We went here on May 2020 and the fences weren’t locked as well so you can explore more if you wanted to. Sunset walks are the best here! Accessed by a little bridge via a big bridge, it has a little pond (which is connected to the river) for the kids to splash in and throw rocks. My girls enjoyed the minnows nibbling their feet. They have lots of people waving you in telling you where to park. They have many booths to pay for your tickets as you go in. I do recommend buying your ticket online before going in. When you went to the park you can go to the left or to the right. I recommend going to the roller coaster first. The lineups can get quite long. The roller coaster and the log ride usually get the longest lines. The staff is very friendly and the park is very clean. I do find the water is expensive there so bring your own water to drink. They do have an area with lots of picnic tables for you to have a lunch. I have a 2 year old and he could go on about nine rides. When my daughter was 9 she could go on every single ride. Overall I do like this park. I do believe it is time to add some new rides. We went September 14th and they had Halloween days starting. They had parades and they had people dressed up everywhere.

Trails were a bit slippery and uneven so I recommend wearing crampons in the winter. We only saw maybe 5 people over the whole day and walked one of the smaller loops at 8km total distance. We managed to get some good photos on our cameras of mule and white-tailed deer but be aware that it is currently rutting season and to maintain your distance. The mountains look fantastic and were covered in snow. For the best views you'll need to hike to the most western lookout which can be a bit of trek if you're not expecting it. I see some comments here that the payment is unexpected and doesn't contribute to the management of this space. Yes, there is a 10$ donation for parking per vehicle or you can get annual passes. You can pay via PayPal or drop your cash into the box. This money helps to support A&S so if you're going, don't whine about supporting conservation for the space you are using.
