This Metro Park may have jumped to #1 on my list! The welcome center is first class. The walking paths among the trees are spectacular! The welcome center is user friendly for children. There are floor to ceiling glass windows where one can watch a wide variety of birds come to the feeding area. I recorded the sounds of 3 or 4 birds I had not recorded at any other place. I even saw a Summer Tananger! Parking is easy to find. Access is easy. Bring lunch to share as you sit at the many picnic tables. A treat indeed!

I consider it to be naturally divided into 3 beautiful sections, the park of roses (it's namesake) is a gorgeous area with every kind of rose imaginable. Truly a spectacle to behold. Then you have the playground/ open field/ sports section that also has a lovely pond that they're currently redoing so there is construction there at the moment. Lastly, my favorite part, is the wildlife area. A wooded area with a watershed/ creek and foot paths that is a safe haven for well behaved dogs off leash. I have went to this park since my parents first took me. I continued to take my children there and even my grandchildren. This park has always had a wonderful nature center. The nature Center has changed inside and out for the better. They offer activities inside as well as outside. You can watch animals from the inside of the nature Center as well as outside walking and driving through the park. Outside of the nature center they made a wonderful area with a tractor, large turtle replicas, there are chairs around the fire pit and a bulletin board that tells about upcoming events. Recently Blacklick Woods added a canopy walk approximately 40 to 55 ft in the air and approximately 660 ft in walking boardwalk area, rope Bridges, cargo nets and a treehouse area as well as it has elevator to help ensure everyone gets up and down. Please however make sure that you wear proper footwear because you cannot go up without proper footwear which most people don't realize as well as call or check on the website to make sure hours of operation. With at least 6 miles of trails within the park for bicycling, walking jogging and animal watching. With an additional 16 adjacent miles along Blacklick Creek that connect to other parks "Blacklick Creek Greenway trails". They also have a exercise area up front on the right hand side across from a large parking area. I would highly recommend this park to anyone and everyone. There are two areas of the park, one is the Honda Wetlands Shelter area and the other is the main park. Both are beautiful and so much fun. The main park area has a great playground, a wooden obstacle course, a fitness course, disc golf, a dog park, and plenty of trails. While walking on a river trail, I passed by two young white teens, both wearing clothes from grove city high school, who took the immediate opportunity to call me slurs. So, if you have two white teenage boys, that go to grove city high-school, who were at grove city metro around 1 to 2 today, you now know what they do when you arent there. I just have to hope that they find them, talk to them and even then thats not a punishment. It did not disappoint at all. The park is meticulously maintained and is one of the finer metro parks I’ve been to in the Columbus area. There’s multiple short trails to choose from that are approximately 0.6 mi or less. Most of which are ADA compliant. The waterfalls are small but perfect as they create a pleasant sound backdrop to the experience. Many folks there today had their cameras to shoot, which didn’t surprise me one bit. The plants and flowers are fantastically colorful and selected to support a bountiful host of our pollinator friends 🐝🦋. Personally bees scare me, but that’s another story for another time. On the way out (that I missed going in) was a sign about tick safety. Personally this is important as I dealt with Lyme Disease for over a decade (which was a costly hell I don’t wish upon my worst enemy). Over 50% of people don’t recall a tick bite and some can be as small as a pinhead (baby nymphs). I’d love to have taken the trails with the overhead trees, however not having a hat or long sleeves on, with higher tick rates this year, I’m a bit too afraid, which sucks because everything looked pretty and peaceful. If you’ve not been, bring your camera and check out Inniswood for a delightful afternoon adventure.

A little under water in one spot but not so much you couldn’t get by. Tick alert so we stayed in the paved trail. We went in the early morning so it was not busy and nice and quiet. I recommend this park. We were able to make it a 3 mile walk. By using the loop through to make a figure eight. We came from Dublin so it was also a nice drive.

Have ridden nearly entire length of trail from north to south, passing through multiple parks and green spaces. Not many riders, some walkers but not that many. You can walk several miles north to westerville and Easton where the beach area is or south. I walk south and walked a total of about 8 miles with my 2 pups. This is actually a day trip for our kiddos and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We hiked around trip to the observation center from the nature center which is about 45 minutes with a four and six year old kids. The nature center itself is full of fun. A lot of information and activities for the kids as well as adults. You can watch the turkeys dancing in the backyard of the center. The nature center staff were so friendly that they volunteered to show the things that are related to the Ohio wildlife. above all it is right next to the parking lot. The walking trail is asphalt paved so you could actually walk or have a wheelchair go around the whole path. We liked it and we enjoyed it and our kids had a blast. I highly recommend this and be prepare for at least two hours of this trip with your kids for yourself.

Started out with some fishing followed by a hike through Ridge and Homesite Trails. Fishing: Restricted to one 2-acre area with two decks to fish off of. There are plenty of bluegill. Hiking: Trails are gravel paths with plenty of hills through the ridges. I enjoyed the placards with the history of the area as well as finding several quiet spots to just relax and listen to nature.
