On the day we were meant to arrive to this hotel, we were stuck in a snow storm in Manang (which is a 12 hour drive away near the mountains). We called the hotel, took photos, submitted an application to claim our refund, but it was NOT approved. So we had to forfeit 3 rooms for the 1st night (around $275 AUD). We finally managed to escape the snow the next day but arrived at 2:30am (meaning, we missed the entire 2nd day at the hotel too). When we finally reached the hotel, the young male staff greeted us. We got our rooms, but when we asked for a bed for our driver, he said we didn't let the hotel know and so there are no bed available. Mind you, we had been in the car for 12 hours on bumpy roads, we were exhausted emotionally and physically. After a heated exchange between that male staff and mum, dad and little brother, he eventually gave our driver a bed. The next morning, the staff offered our 3 rooms for another night. Little brother and his wife took 1 room, but we had to forfeit the other two rooms because of our flight back to Melbourne the next day. And when we asked our driver how his sleep was, he said he was the only person in the room (which meant that that male staff had lied to our faces and I don't appreciate it especially as a paying customer (who had lost 1.5 days already). C'mon, it's the least they could do.... just a bed... Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. We basically spent $570 for an 8 hour stay (6 of those were sleeping) + 1 more day & night for little brother and wife. They tried to make up for it (by offering an extra night's stay) which I thought was really nice, but it was impossible due to our return flight back home. The manager came and apologised as well which made us feel somewhat better. Buffet Breakfast was also nice. But despite all those things, we couldn't shake off that feeling of what happened when we checked in. Feedback: - I think their cancellation policy needs to be updated to be more lenient of cases of extreme weather conditions. - Please treat everyone equally. Doesn't matter if you're a driver or a paying customer.
