The staff simply can’t serve everyone showing up during the breakfast run. Our water glasses, coffee, and juice arrived with 19 minutes of sitting down but there’s process was delayed with the food delivered to the table in about 15 minutes. Despite all the “dressing” on it, it was still dry; almost as though it had been sitting out for a while and was unstirred. The mashed potatoes were dry and lukewarm, the lemon roasted chicken was cold, the seafood boil with shrimp was cold, the prime rib being freshly sliced was freezing cold (no heat lamp on it), braised ribs that were room temperature at best, and there was only one other seafood dish - a cold tilapia. I have never (until this day) not paid for something at a restaurant when I ordered something and didn’t like it or it wasn’t properly cooked. If you do the maths on that, their price for their 6oz glass of OJ represents a 758% markup versus the over-the-counter retail cost. That’s way more than what bars make on liquor! 😳 And $3.59 for a very ordinary 6oz cup of plain black coffee, nothing special about it at all? Not long ago, you could have bought an entire breakfast for that amount of money at a local diner down the street. I do support local businesses, (and I almost consider this a local business, even though it is a chain), but when the prices go up like this versus what’s available elsewhere, management needs to be made aware that we’re not going to just keep believing that “this is normal”, or that it’s acceptable. I won’t be going back to Peach Valley Cafe for that one reason alone - over the top expensive! There are other local restaurants, privately owned by hard-working local residents, that offer far better value for money. I will be supporting them instead. But if you love overpaying for things just because they have a supposedly “attractive brand name” on the front door, then this is your place. It’s just not mine. The raspberry filling donut- not good, cinnamon roll: completely bland of cinnamon roll flavor, the plain glazed: like a Publix grocery store version, the dirt and worm: the chocolate icing was great but not great pudding… I wish this place the best, really do!! Had the Salty Sailor iced latte, my husband got the Bees Knees and they were both really tasty. Got a 4 pack of donuts: cronut, raspberry jelly, chocolate glazed and a specialty donut with chocolate cream. It was hard to pick a favorite. The cronut was crispy and flaky on the outside and soft in the center. The chocolate glazed was classicly delicious. The raspberry jelly was a perfectly balanced sweet and tangy combo. I’m not a big doughnut person but wanted to try. The establishment is layed out and decorated great. The coffee was great. The first doughnut I tried was a Pumpkin Frosted with a cream filling.
