We started with a few different cocktails. They were all good and are reasonably priced especially compared to other Minneapolis restaurants. For an appetizer we got the prosciutto and Bar la Grassa has the best we've ever had. It's so thin and soft and it just melts in your mouth and with the salty butter a top, its chef's kiss. For entrees, carbonara, again, is the best around. The sauce is so silky and light. Portion is huge. Highly recommend. Maltagliati with short rib was just ok. Dare I say it had to much meat. It was a little gloopy in texture and you couldn't taste much of anything for a sauce. At $29 I dont think I'd get again. The garlic and red pepper sausage were very good. They were homemade and a very good flavor with a nice snap. Cheesecake is absolutely delicious with the orange confit on top. A little expensive at $15 for a small bite but they are delicious bites. Lots of street parking options though you may have to walk a little like we did last night. There is valet parking if you prefer that. The vibes in this place can't be beat. The joyous energy of people enjoying their company and food is just so much fun.

The one complaint I have is that the pasta bar was pretty crowded. I reserved spots at the pasta bar because I’ve heard it’s cool to see the chefs. It was fine, but you can’t really see them making the food, and besides that, it was just cramped. Next time I’m going to ask for a table instead (because there WILL be a next time!!) Luckily the bar area is first come first serve and there was a chair open. I ordered the Jungle Bird cocktail and it was fantastic! Based on the reviews online I ordered the Pork Chop. While waiting for the entrée, a server bought out a bread roll and butter. It was good. My main dish came out pretty quick. It was a huge pork chop and cooked perfectly! While I did like the glaze, it was a little too sweet for my taste and the vegetables underneath were minimal. I did like the dish but I probably wouldn’t order it again since it was so sweet. Overall it was a very nice dining experience and I would come back if I lived in the area.

I personally think their food is very creative and the atmosphere is quite stylish. In my most recent visit, I came here with a group of my friends. We all had an early dinner since our reservation was past 8pm, so we just ordered some appetizers to share and some pasta. I got an order of 3 oysters - they tasted great since i was in a mood for oysters but the taste and texture is not for everyone. We shared the prosciutto di parma and bison tartare (my favorite dish from this visit - highly recommend!). I wasn’t a big fan of the prosciutto, I think the nasturtium pistou was different than what I’m used to tasting with the prosciutto. We also got the spaghetti nero and sweet corn tortellini, both were good. In my past visits, I’ve had most of the entrees, and I can attest that they were really yummy and I’d definitely get them again when I go on an empty stomach. Great vibes overall, and it was a great restaurant to celebrate my friend’s birthday!

We spent three hours here and only managed to view the third floor viewing various period rooms, architecture and design, impressionist, neoclassic, modern contemporary, rococo style art. We loved the quirky introduction Video that gave an overview of the city throughout the years and how the flour mill fit into the economic growth of the city. All of the “artifacts” were so nostalgic and brought back so many fun memories of days gone by! Our kids 17, 14 & 11 loved all of the interactive activities (not just cool for little kids). My daughter and I loved putting together the large wooden block puzzle. The highlight though is the tower tour…think Tower of Terror without the drop and the terror haha! It was set up in a similar fashion with nostalgic scenes of the flour mill how it would have looked in its prime and also people’s accounts/voices that actually worked there, sharing their memories! It was so intriguing! Do not hesitate going to this museum! It was such a fun and unique experience.

The ability to cater to kids drives the interest for children to pursue art. I will definitely be going again sometime soon with the family and would recommend anybody getting out to go see that as well. The Bell is a beautiful location that has proved to be a picturesque location for capturing our event in photos, the staff are all kind courteous and professional, and our guests were obsessed with over how cool of a venue it was for a wedding. Laura and Korra were exceptionally helpful when it came to planning and hosting the event. Laura walked us through the process of planning step-by-step so that when the big day came it ran exactly to plan and we had zero issues whatsoever. Korra provided excellent day of support and was helpful in answering all of our questions as the event unfolded. If you are planning a wedding or event that involves children as guests, or adults who just want to have something fun to do between the festivities, we can't recommend the Bell Museum enough. The exhibits were awesome to see. I especially enjoyed the fossils and collections in the Touch & See Lab and their wildlife dioramas upstairs. I really loved that many exhibits focused on Minnesota's natural history—it’s always great to learn more about our state. On top of their other exhibits, the Bell Museum features a planetarium where they play educational shows throughout the day. We saw the “Supervolcanoes” show during our visit and it was really neat to watch on the domed screen. The building itself is also very interesting architecturally and fun to be in. I enjoyed the museum as an adult but I'm sure this would also be a fun trip for families—in particular, I'm sure kids would get a kick out of the animals and digital microscopes in the Touch & See Lab. She then tries forcing me into a queen with attitude. I refused, I paid for a king for a reason. She was being very rude & dismissive as if I wanted to be down in the PACKED NOISEY lobby at midnight. DUH. Another gal came & magically had a king available for me to move to. Had to move all our stuff close to 1AM rather than getting any sleep. Just awful. So much for giving the hubby a relaxing night away from the kids for his birthday. This was the most stressful stay we’ve ever had. Also the most unprofessional staff we’ve ever encountered anywhere on earth.
