I went for the Banyi Bento with teriyaki salmon, and it was absolutely delicious. It comes with miso soup, which was also very good! The price was very fair, and the service was really pleasant. The atmosphere is perfect for a lunch or dinner with friends. Despite being in the Temple Bar area, it’s a spot frequented by locals and well worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back!

If you want to try noodles, this may be the place for you. My boyfriend asked for the noodles and the broth was amazing, he said it was one of the best that he ate in Dublin.
But I asked for the sushi 4x4 (just salmon) and for the tempura prawns roll and was very disappointed. First of all, half of the sushi was way too spicy and that might be my fault, because I asked for the sushi and couldn't handle it.. so here's a heads up if you like spicy but in moderation. But even so, the rest of the sushi didn't feel fresh. There were just 4 more pieces with salmon and it didn't taste right. The other pieces were with crab cake and the other with prawn and the prawn one was very "muchy". Overall the rice didn't feel good too and it wasn't well seasoned. I felt a bit sick eating. Also the size of the sushi bite is very big. The only thing that felt good was the avocado.
We also asked for the miso soup and it was a nice flavour, but even tho it's small, after a while the flavour is overpowering.
I feel a bit weird giving this review because the staff were very nice to us and the space was also very welcoming. They have other plates and maybe they are better, but if you are going to eat sushi, I don't recommend it.

The people who worked there were nice and fast service. However the cusine is certainly not authentic in any way nor is it fresh. We heard microwaves “ding” in the kitchen so that’s all you need to know about the freshness.. I ordered a bento box and I’m certain the rice is microwaved as it was lumped together and cold in certain parts. The curry was an off colour and a bowl of what I think was supposed to be miso was warm not hot. The sushi tasted old and the veg inside was going off. The tofu we ordered wasn’t crispy as it was clearly cooked from frozen or microwaved also. The food was crazy expensive which didn’t help and we never finished the food. We were both sick after please avoid this place until they start to cook properly.

We visited Banyi Japanese Dining in Temple Bar to celebrate my son’s 15th birthday, as he’s a huge sushi lover — and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The food was absolutely amazing, beautifully presented and so fresh. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the variety of sushi impressed even my son, who is quite particular.
The service was equally outstanding — so friendly, attentive, and made us feel really special for the occasion. One of the highlights for us was their dedicated gluten-free menu, which made it so easy for a family member with dietary restrictions to enjoy a full meal without any worries.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Japanese food or is looking for a special night out in Dublin!

Writing this review is a bit hard because the dinner left me with mixed feelings.
The overall meal was ok. Mildly enjoyable.
Each course though has something off. On one case "very off".
The chicken tempura tasted a bit funny. I initially assumed they had used some special seasoning. In retrospective I question how fresh it was.
To be tasty my ramen required abundant addition of soy sauce even if I went for a pretty rich variant of ramen, full of meat.
The dessert was not enjoyable. And at a certain point it has some weirdly flavored parts, like a very spicy hot couple of bites.
A shame because the personnel was nice and the place looked inviting.

Banyi has always been exceptional.
I sent an email the followed it with a confirmation phone call a few days ago outlining my request for 2 XXL platters (200 pieces of sushi) and they had it ready for collection for me as requested.
They even gave me the required amount of chopsticks and all the soya sauce, wasabi and ginger I might need.
This was enough to satisfy a small party of 14-15 people. Everyone was full, happy and asking for the name of the place!
10/10 would order for a party again, also sitting in is always a pleasure!

Absolutely lovely spot for food on Camden Street… Standard of the food is always consistent and very high, the staff are always pleasant and welcoming, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and chilled out, never too loud or bustling. Their coffee is very nice as well and the option for BYOB for beer and wine is just a nice perk of this place. Most dishes actually include their side (miso soup or rice etc.) which I think is a nice addition as it seems they’re more focused on the experience of the meal than charging extra for sides that you need with the dish. Would totally recommend you give it a shot!

Nice little place with attentive staff, speedy service and good food. We tried different items, Ramen the broth was a bit too porky in flavour for me, Yaki Soba lacked flavour and Donburi where the portions and quality of steak was excellent but the kimchi lacked flavour. We had dinner at this restaurant as a group of four, spending €216. To be honest, the menu was very limited, mainly just rice rolls and sushi. I strongly advise against ordering sashimi – the value for money is extremely poor. The fish slices were shockingly thin, about half the thickness of what you would even get at Dunnes. Overall, the food quality was mediocre at best, though still acceptable.
However, what happened afterward was truly infuriating. I accidentally left my hat in the restaurant. When I called the next day to ask, the staff responded with a terrible attitude, flatly denying they had it. When I went to the restaurant the following day, their attitude was even worse. They simply insisted they didn’t have it, in a very rude and unprofessional manner. What made it worse is that this seemed to come from the manager or person in charge.
This experience was shocking and extremely disappointing.

Amazing meal start to finish. It was easy to get a reservation through OpenTable. The drinks were fantastic . I got a pear cocktail and my mate got two different kinds of sake. They were each an amazing. They unfortunately were out of oysters when we arrived. We got the duck pancakes and they were impeccable. The sea bass, crab with caviar , gyoza , and the scallops- were unbelievable. Scallops were buttery soft and unmatched. This place is a must!!!!

I recently visited this Japanese restaurant in Dublin and was genuinely impressed. The Ama Aged Tofu croquettes and the Tofu Soba were outstanding — absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Fabulous. We got the €45 / 5 japas lunch deal and it was so worth it. We got so much food for the two of us (and my boyfriend eats a lot!) bare in mind we went saturday 4pm so it was quiet, but we liked that.
The location is great as the area is lovely, the service was attentive and nice, and the food itself was great. I had a delish Lychee cocktail and my boyfriend got a huge beer. Would highly recommend and would go again!

This was our second time at The Ramen Bar, and we left with mixed feelings. The starters were really good, especially the salmon tartare, which is definitely a must-try! The katsu bao bun was also lovely, super soft and tasty.
I ordered the Tonkotsu Spicy Ramen, but honestly, it wasn’t spicy at all (even though I asked for the spicy version). The flavour was a bit flat, though the pork was tender and the portion size was huge — lots of noodles and broth.

Extremely disappointing experience at The Ramen Bar, Dublin.
I went in with high expectations after reading good reviews, but what I experienced was completely opposite. I ordered the Beef Brisket Ramen, and it was so salty that I genuinely couldn’t take more than a few bites. The broth was overwhelmingly salty to the point that it completely ruined the dish — no balance, no depth, just pure salt.
When I politely mentioned this to one of the staff members and asked if they could make it less salty or check if something was wrong, his response shocked me. He simply said, “It is supposed to be salty” and then asked if I was “having it for the first time.”
That was not only unhelpful but also quite disrespectful. I’ve had ramen before, and I know what proper seasoning and balance should taste like. This was not it.
For a place that markets itself as a ramen specialty restaurant, I expected far better quality and much more respectful customer service. I left extremely disappointed — the only positive thing I can say is that the presentation looked good, but taste and service completely failed to match the appearance.
Definitely not worth the hype or the price.

I have been at this location quite a few times. It never fails to deliver. The food is absolutely delicious. All their hot meat dishes are soft and melt inside the mouth. Very juicy (or crispy depending on the meal) and flavorful.

We wanted to eat lighter and were craving Japanese and Musashi Noodle - Capel didn't disappoint! Showed up on a weekend with no reservation (but early) and they fit us right in. Fast and polite service.
Loved the Ebi Tempura (black tiger prawns)! The batter was light and crispy and the shrimp were perfectly cooked and slightly sweet as they should be when fresh. There were 5 pieces for €8.99 which seems a good price compared to other places we've been.
We didn't realize the chicken gyoza are steamed then grilled (prefer steamed) but they were still tasty and not greasy. We also enjoyed the crab and cucumber norimaki. (Would be great to have some low sodium soy sauce to better enjoy the flavor of the rolls/sushi.) Even the edamame was cooked perfectly and not overdone.
If you have a larger party (3+) or it's a weekend, suggest reservations. Seating comfortable but on smaller side.

Located in a popular tourist spot, nearby to a lot of attractions. Venue itself is quite cosy, with about a dozen or so tables. Staff were very friendly and helpful with orders. The menu is quite large so there's a lot of choice.
I had a special, their sabo noodles with basically all the meats and some plum wine. It was my first sabo experience and it was okay, I wasn't blown away nor was I disappointed. The place was very reasonably priced for the area.

This was a fantastic Asian food restaurant!! I highly recommend giving this place a stop! The edamame is very good along with the sushi platter! The pad Thai was GREAT! Overall, good place to eat. Mixed opinion about dishes. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Appreciated the decor, very nice ambience.
My husband loved the bento box, lots of flavor and good quantity. Not overly salty. I was looking forward to the Tatsuta Age, crispy ginger battered chicken breast with teriyaki sauce and wok-fried vegetables. The vegetables were lovely - fresh, crisp and not overcooked, but because the chicken was set on top of the veggies (a specific serving choice?), it was quite soggy on the bottom and unfortunately on the top as well due to the teriyaki sauce. I couldn't really taste any ginger either. It seemed the batter needed to be cooked longer, though the chicken seemed done; check the unaltered pics, kind of pale looking batter on edges as opposed to brown and crisp.
We would probably try again, but I would personally avoid any breaded dishes.

Food was fine, I just don't understand why they didn't bring all the food together, was waiting about 10-15 mins for them to bring the child's meal and another adult meal. Then when the child's meal arrived it was incorrect (an adult meal) so had to be sent back and another 5 mins for it to arrive. The same thing happened to the table beside us so clearly the kitchen were on something as our server was on the ball. When your child is hungry it's not great for you to be sat there for so long with your food (that they won't eat) and nothing for them! The booth tables had plugs, not sure if that's intentional or not, or if they were working but handy if you need to charge your phone I guess. Service was fantastic when the server was at our table but getting a hold of them to order more drinks was near impossible, they spent more time cleaning tables than checking if guests needed anything.

We tried the Chilly Chicken Ramen, which had good flavour, but the broth was served warm rather than hot for last 2 times when I visited, which took away from the overall experience. A group of friends and I popped in to the restaurant and had a taste of the drinks, sides, desserts, and of course mains, that Wagamama had to offer.
We were met with lovely and vibrant staff who served us, mainly having Ryan as our server.
The food was amazing. I highly recommend the cherry blossom lemonade, although a little pricey, was delicious.

I ate the Salmon Teriyaki and it was the best teriyaki ever. The salmon was so good, the vegetables and the rice. It was like heaven. It comes with a side of miso soup and it was very tasty also.
I don't remember the name of the other dishes but everyone liked their food.
We made a reservation for 4 people and everything went smoothly. The service was nice and the staff was friendly. The restaurant is really tiny, but the decor is beautiful and the music gives a nice ambience.

My favourite place to get sushi. As ive been diagnosed with IBS this place is the easiest place to go out for a dinner date. Sadly in most places the only sushi options gluten free are either salmon or tuna. But at Aoki I love that I get a little bit more choices. Also their soy sauce is gluten free. We had an amazing dinner at this restaurant and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. We started with soft-shell crab, deep-fried calamari, and seafood dumplings each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. We visited the restaurant hoping for a great bowl of ramen — and from the moment we stepped inside, we were impressed. The atmosphere radiated warmth and helpfulness. A young staff member quickly found seating for our family (two adults and two children) and even helped us make space for a buggy.

Tani is without any doubt the restaurant where we have been more often in Ireland. It may well be that it's where we have been more often in our whole life.
We discovered it 10 years ago and it's one of the things that makes our neighborhood special and something that contributed to our choice to buy a house where we bought it.
The decor is lovely and evocative: dark, stylish, with the warmth of black, dark stone & dark wood. There's almost always nice jazz music.
If I could add a note: I wish the room temperature was a bit warmer but I understand that most local customers probably prefer it this way.
Of course over the years the food has changed as the chef were alternating but it has always kept between good and exceptional. I think the last 12-18 months have been particularly good!
We love going there for a bento box over lunch. It's a shame that they are not open anymore during most workdays. My favorite is the seafood one.
Their sashimi is very tasty and high quality.
I love their Tori Karage and their yaki soba are very tasty. My favorites are chicken and duck, that sometimes I have asked to combine for a special treat
Staff has always been friendly and polite.
I think that recently they have found a particularly fantastic balance of great people who both create and serve the food. I hope they can keep going like this as we hope to remain very happy customers.

This restaurant was a great find. The restaurant is classic japanese asian restaurant inside and out. It has a laid back atmosphere which is perfect if you are looking for some quiet and zen eating time. Nothing fancy but the inside was clean and tidy. Staff were really nice and warm. The food is superb. I mean, right proportions, good presentation and the taste is one of the best and most authentic i had for quite some time, not salty , not oily and surprisingly fresh. They have one of the best seaweed salad(must try), and the curry's are as asian as you can get. Not to mention the crispyness of fried selections (tofu, vegetables and chicken) were consistent throughout the dinning experience. A bit pricey but well spent. Will comeback for sure.

We shared a salted-caramel brownie for dessert, which had a rich chocolate flavour and came with delicious, homemade ice cream. The miso soup here is perfectly balanced in flavour - the best I have had in Dublin. But the dish I would come back for any day was the seaweed salad. I had no idea salad could ever be this delicious! Highly recommended!

This place is a little gem. It was quite busy when we arrived - always a good sign. Nice atmosphere.
A good selection of drinks, including three different non-alcohol cocktails which were lovely.

We’ve been going here for years when we visit family in Dublin. Food is always sensational and that little bit different to the “standard” type Indian food you get in most restaurants. It just feels a little more authentic.
The tandoori spicing is excellent. We had king prawns and tandoori chicken. Portion sizes are excellent, and the breads and sides are very good indeed.
The curries are all very good and should you not want it as spicy as they would normally do it then they will temper the heat for you, although there are several options that are not spicy to start with.
I always like a menu that is sufficient to give choice but small enough to be sure that it is cooked freshly and each dish is individual, and Daata delivers in this respect.

She ordered the food and was handed a take away box, when she asked could she sit and eat she was told no, she explained she has sat before and was rudely told by some woman she didn’t recognise that was then you can’t eat here and was sent off with take away box,no fork spoon or napkins and nowhere to eat as she’s going out this evening. It was so good we had to bring some home. My sister and I came here twice during our short time in Dublin. After the first visit I knew we had to go there at least once more before leaving the city. On both visits I ordered the honey sesame chicken and it was so good I had to force myself to slow down because I wanted it to last as long as possible. I also forgot to take a picture both times because I just really wanted to eat it. We also tried three types of gyoza and they were all heavenly. We finished the meals with Irish tea both times and it's truly the best Irish tea experience I've had in all the places we visited in Ireland. There is also enough tea in one kettle for four cups, so it's delicious and plenty of it. The whole place is incredibly clean and peaceful. Even the music and lighting is just the right amount so that you're not overwhelmed. Whenever the glass of water is empty, they fill it up again for you, and they also offer a knife and fork if you want. We did have to wait Outside slightly, as there was some sort of Reservation Queue we were not aware off but the short wait was worth it. They had a good selection of different dishes including hot food which was also tasty. The place is small and cozy.
Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi, you could tell they didn’t use premade items like those frozen precooked eel packets often drenched in overly sweet sauce - their unagi had a good smoky flavour and the sauce was perfect. Would recommend!

I walked in, ordered at the bar, and took my food to go back at the hotel. The space is quaint and cozy, however, and the staff incredibly kind and accommodating. We had our food in short order. We are two Korean families living in Germany, and we visited Dublin for our holiday. During our five-day stay, we went to Ninja Sushi Asian Restaurant four times — twice for dine-in and twice for takeout. That probably tells you how much we enjoyed this place!
Although it’s a Japanese restaurant, like many others in Europe, it’s run by Chinese staff. Because of that, the ramen has more of a Chinese-style flavor rather than a traditional Japanese one — which was the only minor downside for me.
Apart from that, everything else was excellent. The rolls were large, fresh, and delicious. The basic Japanese dishes such as takoyaki and tempura shrimp were of high quality, and the donkatsu rice bowl, yaki udon, and yakisoba were also outstanding. The food was served very quickly, which made the experience even better.
The lady owner and the staff were very kind and flexible. Once, due to our family situation, only our children came to pick up the food for takeout, and the owner kindly allowed us to return later to pay — which was incredibly considerate.
Overall, both the food and the service were fantastic. We truly enjoyed every visit and would highly recommend this restaurant. If we come back to Dublin again, we will definitely visit here again.

Now I will definitely admit that if you are looking for an absolutely authentic Japanese food experience, this might not suit your palette. But being comfortable with slight variances and fusion cuisines, I loved the food here. The salmon bento was ample and the yasai katsu curry dish was plentiful with really good flavors. We also tried the gyoza and inari sushi and topped it all off with the strawberry cheesecake, all of which was excellent. I believe this is a Chinese-run establishment and maybe adding some Chinese dishes to the menu wpulf work as well so it can be a one-stop shop for multi Asian cuisine. We loved the seating and ambiance, which was quite relaxed and cozy. Will definitely be coming back for more.

I’ve tried bento boxes in 3–5 restaurants, but I loved what I got here the most. This is the first place where the curry in the Chicken Bento Box wasn’t made with a sweet sauce—it was genuinely flavourful and tasted really good. The gyoza was good, and the sushi was okay (though I’m not a sushi expert).
The only downside was the rice—it wasn’t as sticky as other places, so after a while it became hard to eat with chopsticks. Also, the soy sauce they make in-house was a bit salty for my taste—I would prefer Kikkoman.
But the best part is that they keep chilli oil on the table, which is perfect for adding a bit of spice ♥️. I also love that they give a fortune cookie to each person after dinner—a really nice touch.
This has now become our go-to place after a long day in college.

It’s alright. Nothing fancy, but also nothing really bad. The menu kinda had everything, from sushi to ramen, pad thai and so on, which is rarely a good thing - I tend to prefer those who specialize a bit more in their specific kitchen. I’d say the food was on par with that.

My wife and I had the most pleasant evening at the restaurant- it was a find and we were very pleased to discover this absolut gem!
We were delighted with everything: we went for the 2-course meal, and also enjoyed drinks and deserts.
The portions are very generous and we ate more than you usually eat for that same price in Dublin City Center.
The sushi and the beef Ramen in particular were delicious. Btw, the seasoning of the beef was probably the highlight of my meal.
The drinks were also amazing! My wife and I have different tastes for drinks and we tried their classics (reinvented with a Japanese touch) - delicate and marvelous!
The service is also impeccable, the crew's kindness and politeness transported us back to Japan.
An incredible experience and we couldn't recommend this place more.

Maybe we were here on a bad day but the food was awful and bland on the day. Food presentation was classy and neat but the food itself really lacked taste. We got the sushi and sashimi, only finished half of the sushi and had to spit out the sashimi as it had a milky taste to it. Beef in the bento box was bland and just had a garlic taste to it. I was a little worried initially due to the poor reviews but we were really pleasantly surprised and felt like writing a good review about our experience.
As a note - Slammin Ramen is a part of the Camile family of restaurants.
We ordered the vegetarian ramen (pictured), the duck ramen and the seafood ramen. We also ordered 3 starters and 3 of their sugar free lemonades. The total came to a very reasonable 38e.
The food arrived within 30 minutes with deliveroo as expected. The noodles and toppings are separated from the broth using a plastic cup which stops the textures becoming soft and squidgy and means that you get good separation of flavour.
The Vegetarian ramen was exactly as described on the website, including 2 soft boiled eggs, generous amounts of tofu and some rough sliced chilli to keep things interesting (this is something we see in alot of the Camile dishes as well). The broth was a little on the plain side and leaned heavily on umami flavours but nothing different than what you would get in Yamamori or Musashi. The spring rolls were exactly as they are in Camile, including the sauce which is no bad thing.
I asked my flatmates about their orders:
The seafood ramen was tasty and spicy, portion size was reasonable, the broth was pretty fishy as well. It's a good sign that they aren't using the same broth for all of their dishes.
The Duck special stayed true to the theme so far, good flavour, good portion size, good broth. Very hard to fault, especially at this price.
I can only assume that Slammin Ramen have made some changes since the older reviews below were written as our experience was really positive. Very good food at a reasonable price and very little I would suggest changing.

I hate to do this, as a professional chef, and covid times are v tough.... the food was rotten, customer service a joke.... only good thing was the deliveroo driver who was a v nice lad.
I honestly would recommend going to Little Dumpling instead. I'm sorry, but save your money and dont order from this place. Pretty sure the dumplings come from a frozen packet and are just thrown in a drier, then you're charged 7euro+ per type of dumpling, which I could even tell the difference between which type as I'd ordered two types of dumplings.
