I mean who wouldn't want a bowl of warm ramen on a cold/windy Vegas night? We discovered this restaurant after a Google search and immediately headed to the restaurant because we were starving. The restaurant was a little difficult to find at first because I thought it was upstairs in the Chinatown Plaza, but it wasn't...it was downstairs (I think I'm just getting old and my navigation skills are diminishing). Regardless, we got more steps in and worked up an even bigger appetite. When we walked in, it took a while before anyone acknowledged our presence which was a little concerning at first. Within ~4 minutes, an employee finally walked up to us and escorted us to our table. The first thing I noticed was that everyone was waiting for their food so either this restaurant was running a little behind or everyone coincidentally arrived at the same time. Whenever our drink order arrived, we were still missing one item, but went ahead and ordered our appetizers and main entrées. We ordered Gyoza, Shishito Peppers, Soft Shell Crab, and Okonomiyaki as our appetizers; and Tonkotsu Shio Ramen, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen (added garlic oil and nori), and Show Black Ramen as our entrées. After 2/4 appetizers arrived, we were wondering if our one drink was ever going to arrive, so we followed-up with our server and they finally brought it within a couple minutes. Soon after the arrival of those two appetizers and one drink, our ramen arrived. Our ramen arrived super hot which was weird because I've never had ramen that piping hot before, but it was appreciative considering the temperature outside. Also, I was a little disappointed with the lack of choices to add to our ramen (i.e., fried garlic chips, bean sprouts, etc.), but overall, the ramen was good; the broth was flavorful and the pork chashu was phenomenal. The Gyoza arrived during the middle of our meal and the Okonomiyaki finally arrived towards the end of our meal. I was bummed out that those two appetizers didn't arrive in the beginning like appetizers are typically meant for. Additionally, when our Gyoza arrived, it was slightly burnt which was displeasing to say the least, but the ingredients tasted great - I was really hoping that the Gyoza would've been perfect because for one, it's Gyoza!! And second, it took so long to arrive, it should've been perfect. But I digress... The prices at this restaurant is about the same as other ramen restaurants in this city and I have zero complaints about it - they're very reasonable. Also, the décor was very nice here; I loved the outdoor concept appearance. All-in-all, this restaurant is ok...I know a lot of people have had great experiences here (based on their overall Google rating); however, for our first visit here, we were struck with less than adequate service and only satisfactory food quality. I will add that this restaurant was recently opened, so maybe they're trying to work out its bumps in the road, or maybe we arrived during an off day for them. Perhaps in the future, we might try this restaurant again, but I don't see that occurring anytime soon. Though, if you haven't been here before, I still recommend this restaurant to you. NOTE: I would recommend to the restaurant to update the online menu because there were a couple things I didn't see on there to which your in-person menu contains (e.g., Okonomiyaki and Show Black Ramen).

I got my chance for dinner and it was excellent. First up was the Takoyaki (octopus fritters). A crispy surface on the outside with plenty of seasonings on top. My only issue was that there just didn’t seem to be much octopus (which was pretty tasty). My dinner entree was Char-Siu Pork belly Ramen with Miso. The broth was very rich and buttery in quality. The pork belly was extra tender and tasted great. The noodles? Far beyond any instant meal. I washed that meal down with a Lychee Ramune and a Melon Soda. The Ramune was excellent though opening up the first bottle required help from a worker (who showed excellent service and kindness). The melon soda was too sweet for me. I will not buy that again. A second meal here involved me buying some Tonkatsu and an Oyako Donburi (chicken and egg rice bowl). The tonkatsu was amazing. The pork was tender and had an excellent fried coating. The sauce and hot mustard provided offered excellent flavors. And the rice bowl was just as excellent. The chicken was juicy and tender, the eggs moist and cooked just right, and the rice helped absorb the flavors of the food. When I had lunch there, I ordered another Lychee Ramune. It was that good. One critique of this restaurant was the tight space. It would be difficult for larger people or those in wheelchairs to move around. Ever. When we paid, there was no option for custom tipping the lowest option was 23$ and we were left no other option but to choose it. The service itself was quick and the server was nice! The Tonkotsu ramen was good. The pork chashu was cooked really well. All though there are a lot more options around town, the price point is good at Omoide and the portions size is also good.

UPDATE 12/1/2023- I don’t know what it is about this place but quality seems to always be sub par, I’ve had a much better experience at the Fort Apache location. Last time I went we ordered the spicy beef shank which we’ve had before, and it was rotten. Had to bring it all the way back, and they all agreed it went bad and gave me another one and a free dish on the house. Honestly, no free dish was worth my wasted time. Sadly it was perfectly soft boiled but when I broke into it and dipped it into the soup... It was cold. I left the rest of the egg sitting in the soup and by the time I finished the noodles, it had warmed through. So I would recommend saving the egg for last. The flavor was very good with bonito being the most dominant flavor with a decent kick. I love bonito so it was perfect for me. :) if you don't like bonito I don't recommend this for you. And if you do not handle spice well... This will be spicy for you but for me... It was very well balanced. (4.5/5) Beef slice mini bowl was a mountain of thinly sliced lightly seasoned beef that was melt in your mouth tender with just a hint of soy sitting on top​ of a bowl of rice. Not sure if they get a busy crowd in here or not. Parking is a nightmare though, and ended up having to park in the plaza across the street. Tried out the takoyaki which comes out in a skillet, still sizzling. It was delicious, and is incredibly hot so give it time to cool down. The only downside of it coming out in a skillet was that it continues cooking and several of the pieces ending up getting charred on the side resting on the skillet. For udon, we tried the beef and the hot dragon udon. Both broths we're flavorful and the noodles were great. The hot dragon has a rolling heat, so very enjoyable in the beginning but continues to build up. If you sit at the counter you can get a view of them making the udon noodles.

I had the Tomo Ramen, which has a little bit of everything in there. Brazed chicken, pork, mushrooms and two dumplings. I don’t think the dumplings where freshly made but they where still good. I’m not a huge fan of the seating area but I was able to find a spot up front near the kitchen. Our food was also ready pretty quickly.
