They talked us through where everything was as they walked us to our booth. We were given accessible bands and told to approach staff if we needed anything. As people were leaving the venue we were taken back out through the stage out the back so we didn't have to stand for too long. One of the best venues for Accessibility in my opinion, just contact them in advance. I have an access card and would recommend to anyone to get one as it helps a lot with bookings. From first contact the staff at the Garage were professional and helpful. When we arrived at the front door and announced she was on the access list, we were expertly and thoughtfully looked after by every member of staff. From front door security, through reception staff, to security who showed us to our reserved seat. As with every venue we have visited in Glasgow, the staff made it a safe and enjoyable evening for my wee girl, who absolutely loves her live music. See you all in April for Maggie Lindemann. As soon as we arrived, staff could not have been more helpful if they tried. Access at the back was easy to get into. Staff were there to give a safety briefing and offer any assistance. They promised to keep an eye out on us and look out for any issues (there were no issues). Staff checked in with us constantly and both security and bar staff were incredible. Always polite and smiling. At the end as we were leaving, we were approached by security again to ask how we enjoyed our night and to ensure we had a good time. Best of all they asked us for feedback and what they could do to improve. The answer is, there was nothing they could do to improve. They had the whole process flawless from beginning to end. It is so important for my daughter to have good experiences to continue to feel confident to keep attending gigs. I highly recommend this venue. They stopped breathing at one point but because of the staff’s quick thinking and first-aid training, paramedics were already there to help. It’s so lovely to know that there are still establishments out there that care about the safety of their customers and know what to do if something goes wrong. My burger came out raw and pink in the middle definitely not cooked properly. On top of that, we didn’t even get all the drinks we paid £40 for one of my friends only received one drink, she basically got a Chicago town pizza and toilet water! and the ones we did get tasted awful. I said no worries, she wanted to charge me for the 3 drinks, I asked if she should just charge for all 4 drinks, she no it's ok ill just charge for the 3 just now. OK fine. I returned after 5 mins, bearing in my mind my friend has now sat at our table for 30+ mins alone, I wait in the queue again but I grabbed the opportunity when this female bar tender was about to serve someone new, to ask excuse me, is my Espresso martini ready. She said ill serve you after this customer. I said, sorry i was asked to come back after 5 mins which I'm doing, she said I understand that but we don't have the ingredients ready. I politely said that's not what you advised 5 mins ago, I already have 3 of my 4 drinks, she repeated i understand, I will serve you after this customer. So again I replied and said, I've already waited in the queue tonight, my friend has sat alone for 40 mins, we have to leave soon for a gig and you never mentioned anything earlier about ingredients not being ready. I have 3 drinks already from my order, what sense would it make for me to go away and come back and wait again? Made zero sense. This female had a tone as if i was being unreasonable or i had done something wrong, but she clearly was trying to get the queue down to serve more customers. If the espresso martini was not available, then i would have just asked for something else simple. However, upon my last response, she reluctantly said fine i will make it just now for you. 10 mins later, cocktail was handed to me. Safe to say, the start of our night was ruined and it was for my friends 40th and yet I hardly spent time with her before we had to drink up and leave for the armadillo. Absolutely disgusting not being upfront with your customers about any issues and being made to feel a fool. The cocktail was made so clearly there were no issues with ingredients. Really poor attitude and service therefore won't be returning or recommending.

I found one of the bouncers (had red hair) extremely rude. I was not allowed to enter the premises myself, despite the fact I had friends already in the premises. I know a decent amount about whiskey and have a collection of around 40 bottles, so I asked the staff to recommend me something. If you've been to Germany/austria before and enjoyed the cuisine, do not go here and expect any sort of german food. We go to germany/austria twice per year and this was not german in the slightest. The inside of the restaurant was decorated nicely with some random german nicknacks. First, service was slow for a 3/4 empty restaurant . We ordered the schnitzel stripes to start - what arrived was a small dish of 4 chicken breadcrumb strips, served with garlic mayo. Cooked fine, but about as german as a kfc. No salad or garnish, and no cranberry sauce or mustard. For the main, we ordered the pork schnitzel and fries, and the schnitzel sandwich In a pretzel bun. The schnitzel and fries turned up just like that....a chicken in breadcrumbs with some fries. No salad/garnish/mustard or cranberry sauce. The chips were nice and the chicken was cooked well - but it's brewers fayre type food, not german. The schnitzel burger thing came with fries which were cooked well and the chicken that was cooked well. However the way it was seasoned was typically British. It was served with 1 lettuce leaf, a tomato slice and a gherkin slice. Again no cranberry sauce or mustard or horseradish etc. The pretzel bun is likely straight from lidl (which is fine) but it was cold and should have been warm or toasted. Also to top it off, when I asked for mustard, I was served english mustard in a sachet. This place is the furthest thing you could get from german food, save for a couple brattwurst. The food is average, probably a 3, but I've given a 2 as the placed alludes to the fact it serves german food. I was last here in 2019 and ordered a large german platter which was good, and more in keeping with german cuisine. I think the new chef should spend some time in Germany. Genuinely disappointed. I don't agree with this & don't remember this being the case when I've visited in the past. We went for a beer tour with meal included. A bit disorganised to start & we had to wait. There was 4 of us on the tour & we quite enjoyed it. They could do with more anecdotes as it's quite dry. Afterwards we were shown to a table at the restaurant this is where they've lost marks. The Jager loaded fries is just mushroom sauce of which there was plenty & mushrooms, it needs cheese or something. The St Mungo burger was delicious. I enjoyed my currywurst but as I said it was quite dry. We've had currywurst in several places & it usually has plenty of sauce. The beers were great, we tried 8 different ones. We went for a pre-concert meal to see Mogwai on a beautiful sunny Sunday around 5:30. The garden in front was full of people enjoying beer and catching rays. Inside was different. My partner and I attended for my birthday and were absolutely blown away by how decadent the food was. The oysters were the best I’ve ever had; large, velvety and smooth. One of my favourite pubs in Glasgow! They do a fantastic pub quiz as well every Monday evening! The food here comes in big portions and the steak pie just tastes so good! The haggis fritters here are great, there’s a few sharing platter options to choose from as well. There’s an extensive drink menu ( great baby Guinness here btw) and couple of nice desserts to choose from. I love the chocolate fudge cake and the crumble. Price is great for the portion! This pub is amazing for socials and footballs, I come here with my friends all the time. Great vibe, great decor, they even have a pool table!
