There were many extended family gatherings. We love hearing the laughter and watching the fun. The campsites are spacious. There is a kayak, canoe put in not far from the parking lot. There is a restroom at the parking lot also. This is a great park. You can access the ramp to the pedestrian bridge (Big Four Bridge) from here. It’s a nice, easy ramp up to the bridge. The bridge itself is 1 mile across to the Indiana side. There are no benches on the ramp going up to the bridge, but there are lots of benches once you get on the bridge. Food trucks set up in the area as well. We had a great time there, and would definitely go back!

The neighborhood to the north hugs the river line for their own private use, so thats not accessible, nor are people welcome based on the generic keep out type signs. You can see a little bit of the Lewis and Clark bridge from the park. And there's the sound of near constant machinery beeping, engines roaring, and, for some reason, a substantial amount of EMF that makes foliage wither and people's heads vibrate with pressurized pulsing. Not sure how real or recorded that the diversity of bird sounds are, but it's way too steady, vigorous and localized to sound like 30+ species of live forested birds nearby, and after sunset. And the nearby cell tower puts off more EMF. It's not very pleasant to sit here long, and my ears are ringing from tinnitus after only being here about 6 minutes. I won't be back. It feels hostile and I can detect additional energy signatures that make me worry if technology is being used as a deterrent for people to use the park from nearby residents. It's a shame because we all pay taxes to use the city's parks. Rich people don't get to hog the parks and drive others out.

Although it's open and expansive, it feels a bit private still and has tons of parking, is almost a mile all the way around, has wide walking paths, gorgeous architecture, fresh air, other local attractions VERY close by, and the sound of rushing water is very calming. This is a super place to run safely and peacefully with beautiful old lamps for evening visits. I especially liked all the little banners on the lamps with info about the place and Louisville's waterworks system. What I didn't like, however was that it didn't come up as a park in Maps and I never would have found it had I not known the exact name. There's plenty of room to walk dogs, do some biking, or wander around on a date. The large areas and wide sidewalks around the reservoir make it wheelchair accessible but the only way up to the reservoir walking area is NOT wheelchair accessible. Still, there's plenty of sidewalk and green space to admire! I didn't see any restrooms but the pool is very close by and may have those inside.
