What a really welcoming, friendly and electric experience. We came to the City for a Gareth Emery set in the club and we had an amazing time which was partly made possibly by the experience with staff here. I have written this review as a warning to those with coeliac and gluten intolerance. There is only one main which is marked as gluten free, steak frites, and it comes with onion rings which are not gluten free. I made the staff I was aware I had coeliac and they made sure the dish did not come with the onion rings, and they seemed to understand the seriousness so I don't know why it wasn't correct on the menu. The steak itself was rare with the middle being blue not medium as stated on the menu. This exacerbated how chewy the meat was. I would have sent it back but we were going to the concert in the venue and couldn't delay so my partner ate it, shocked by how rare and therefore chewy it was. Another guest with us had the veggie pie because they had ran out of fish and chips and several other items on the menu at 7:15. The mushroom top was apparently lovely but it was a thin layer and the rest of the pie was a slab of sweet potato, which was disappointing. My partner enjoyed his meat pie and the fries were very good for us both. My cocktail was also lovely. When the bill came they listed the steak as £5 more than on the menu. Thankful the server gave us time to check the bill and corrected it once we made him aware. Gratuity was added automatically. The place was filled and lively and the music was good but very loud. The music venue itself had fantastic accessibility seating which was very comfortable with a great view and easy to reserve ahead of time (This was only for ambulant concert goers, I did not see the wheelchair area.) Would happily go to see a performance here again.

Paid the deposit and reconfirmed it on the day when we got to Manchester as we added an extra person to our table which they said was fine. Whilst having this long discussion outside in the cold other party goers were entering the club in large numbers some were all female groups and some were all male groups so we were baffled to understand what security risk we posed! However after all this we were denied entry to the club at this point we did not want to enter anyway we just wanted a refund for the £225 we had paid for the entry already but we were advised this was something we could discuss with the manager on Monday so not only were we being denied entry into the club but we were also told to leave without a refund all this because we wanted to celebrate my friends birthday! In my experience I do not feel we were denied entry due to being a security risk but do to our ethnicity as other races were able to enter without even being asked if they were on the guest list. I am hurt to know that racism is still very much alive and this discrimination is still happening in this day and age. Bijou is an urban club playing urban music surely they would expect people of my ethnicity to want to experience the atmosphere and DJS at their club! I am disgusted by our experience and would never recommend this club!!!!!!

The best bit about this bar is the building fit out, it's a wonder to look at and must have cost an unbelievable amount to decorate. Firstly we was slightly disappointed by the attitude of the bouncers before we even got into the club. A couple of them made inappropriate comments which made us feel very uncomfortable. If we hadn’t already prepaid for our tickets we would have left. However once we got inside all of the staff were incredible, we couldn’t fault any of them. The manager Alberto was absolutely brilliant, he made our night one to remember! I booked a table for my friend’s bday and paid £100 deposit, when we got there the bouncers picked and choose who they were allowing entry, after 45 mins of making multiple attempts to inform them we had a table, they eventually allowed us entry. I sighted this drunken male slap a female across her face for no reason, I was then waiting for a taxi with my friends and this male then approached us and out of no where spat on my friend, of course we challenged this male and he went to punch me to the face, a group of boys intervened and pushed this male out the way. The group of bouncers that I can only describe as a group of bullies then approached and instead of attacking the drunken male, they targeted one young boy from the group that helped us and continuously punched him to the face. I pleaded for them to stop and they told me to ‘stay out of it’. The club and bouncers are terrible, this place needs to be shut down. There is a live DJ playing at the venue every Sunday, the atmosphere is great and very lively but you can still talk easily. The roast beef is served rare/medium rare, or you can ask for it to be cooked for longer to your preference. The Bacon loin is delicious, very juicy and the honey mustard glaze is delightful. The half roast chicken is awesome, also very juicy and the meat comes from the bones very easily. Everything was cooked to perfection! The veggie offerings have also been great, I've so far, only tried the mushroom Wellington and a curry potato pie (for science) but both were super tasty. The trimmings are all great, very fresh and great quality - the yorkshire puddings are immense and the gravy is super tasty. My favourite part is the red cabbage, it has an almost winter spiced taste and it's gorgeous! To top it off, the trimmings are unlimited! Making it great value for money. Great museum to with part transformed into a time machine: go back into Salford's past with the lovingly recreation of a Victorian street 'Lark Hill Place' with genuine shop fronts and historical objects and belongings staged inside to give you a real immersive experience of what living in Salford was really like. This is a great family experience that the children will love! The museum also has a chic and expansive cafe with views of the park and a cute little gift shop with items made by local artists and craft makers. A really enjoyable day out to be had here and so much to see that you will need several visits to take it all in! I visited in the pouring rain and even managed a jaunt around Peel Park afterwards and even the weather didn't dampen my spirits, it is such a great day out!

It’s actually a really nice place inside, everybody is having a good time partying and singing and the DJ actually plays some decent tunes unlike other places. My only complaints are that the drinks cost a bomb for what you’re getting and the chairs near the bar are way too small, they dig into your side and unless you’re a skinny model, you cannot fit.

There’s a nice mix of familiar favorites and some creative new additions. You can tell some real thought went into updating the options. I tried the Boneless Jerk Chicken, and it was excellent, flavorful, and well-cooked. The Mac& cheese was also a standout. Portion sizes are fair, and the pricing feels reasonable for what you get. On booking the menu was pan Asian however it had changed a week later as Jamaican food. I usually love Jamaican food but this was disappointing. They had no plantain or tempura prawns in stock. The starters came at the same time the the mains which wasn’t ideal. The jerk chicken was rubbery and flavourless and the curry goat did not seem like goat meat and was very dry. Also the location is a bit far from most things, and a little walk from the tram stop. No much car parking around that area either Worth a visit if an event on you are keen to see.

When we arrived we sat and had a drink while we waited as we were abit early, we were informed at the bar that the cocktail machine was broken which was disappointing to hear as we had bottomless cocktails in with our package, we had to ask a few times if the room was ready as no one came to get us and you just have to make your own way up and find the room. The burgers were nice but the chips had that much salt on they were hard to eat. The benches were shocking that you have to sit on, it was like the benches you sit on at school and not secure enough for 3 adults each side. The prizes were shocking, just a free cocktail from the bar and the 1 big prize at the end was a voucher to go back. The bingo was ok but they had this annoying elevator theme tune all the way through in the background which did start to get abit annoying after 30 minutes. When the bingo had finished there was still 1 hour left which we thought there would be abit of a show but it was just music playing and that was it. There was no guest appearance like stated. We wnt a few doors down and payed £5 each to watch another drag show and it was fantastic and would of paid more. None of the group thought very much of it and wouldnt return
