Not great for standing shows since the stage is so low. While it’s intended to make shows more ‘intimate’, the reality is unless you’re in the first few rows you’re not going to see much of anything, which doesn’t feel intimate at all. Mansion sold tickets for Timbaland but he never ended up performing at all, or even leaving his personal gated VIP area. I was near the front of the club and caught one very brief glimpse at him. Not every night out is going to be a win, which is totally fair… but this was a straight up scam. I’m sure this was a great night for anyone in the music industry that got to meet an icon for free (or, were paid by Mansion to be present), but for those of us that spent our own money I am truly shocked. Far from “THE party of the year” that they advertised. Interesting, considering they use the exact same wording for Timbo (who didn’t perform) as Zaycuatro (who did perform… half of one song, to be fair). The dance floor cleared out pretty quick once people started to catch wind of what was happening. The only star that DID perform that nights was the bathroom attendant, who gave out some candy and helped make sure everything ran smoothly, and kept one stall clear in case of emergency — which we did see happen at one point, and was a very good call. You are a rockstar, and the only memorable piece from that night. Had Mansion marketed this event appropriately and accurately, you still could have made money — and increased LTV with returning patrons for future events… but it’s unlikely I will ever come back to Mansion, because I have no faith that the event will match the description.

But the most surprising thing was the Polynesian dancers--that come out on Wednesday nights and we arranged to be there for--were actually so affecting. I didn't expect an impassioned dance to a version of Stand By Me, partially sung in Hawaiian, which hit hard after losing one of my closest friends earlier in the month who would have loved the place. That alone would have made it worth the effort to find the place. So I would definitely say this was one of the highlights of our trip to Vancouver. And even if you're a local who's somehow never been, I'd highly recommend it. They are lovely people in every way.

The food is reasonably priced and pairs well with drinks, making it perfect for casual snacking. That said, it’s the drinks that truly take center stage at this establishment. We had just come from trying to be seated at fairmont waterfront where we usually go to eat at ARC but we stood in a not very busy restaurant waiting to be seated for 20 minutes (were the only ones in line) and were ignored so we walked over to pacific rim where we had never been. We were unaware we walked into a sushi bar at pacific rim which wasn't really our thing but the waitress who started out very friendly explained there was a mini menu of other food we could look at. She came back to take our order of 2 burgers and 2 beers which were both delicious. From that point on that was pretty much the last we saw of her or anyone for that matter. We actually had to ask another server for the debit machine so we could pay and just wanted to get out. Paying $100 for 2 hamburgers and 2 beers is alot, so not only do you expect the food to be good but the service as well. The manager approached us but it was too little too late.it wasn't the money, it was the way you made us feel. Fairmont don't judge a book by its cover and just do better.

Great music choices and when the games started, they maximized the volume for the game. Other than the game, I was here for food. I ordered a Chicken Sandwich with fries and shared yam fries and chicken littles. The Chicken sandwich was great offering great balanced flavors, seasoning, and crunch from the lettuce. Fries are nice and crisp, not too greasy, and there was a good amount. Presentation was pretty good for what it was. Chicken littles offered a bite of chicken for those who simply want to try and don't want to order a chicken sandwich. Perfect with the honey mustard dip, served with a bed of fries. Yam fries was amazing as well. Although a bit soggy, they were extremely flavorful, and paired up with the aioli perfectly offering a balanced sweet and savory combination. I also had a beer and their green tea shots. A Heineken tasted like a Heineken and the green tea shots were nice as well. I don't know if they should be called green tea shots because they didn't taste like tea but more towards a melon. Still very tasty in my opinion My final thoughts for this place is yes it is busy due to the NHL game, but the food was amazing as well. Definitely an unforgettable experience as the waiters and waitresses who served us were awesome. Food was great and would definitely come back for the Chicken Sandwich and Yam fries.
