My first time in this wonderful restaurant whilst visiting from Glasgow. Received a lovely friendly welcome on arrival, and a glass of chilled wine. We were seated near the area where a sax/clarinet player was performing and there was no issue with not been able to chat as the musician (Eddie) was just marvellous and read the room very well, he played requests, did a couple of happy birthdays and even played a lullaby to a baby! The staff were so friendly and explained any questions we had about the menu. We ordered steaks and duck, all the dishes were excellent and the wine to accompany the dishes which the staff recommended was spot on. I would certainly recommend a visit to this restaurant and if you’re lucky enough that it’s a night with Eddie playing it will complete the night! Thank you Bloom restaurant for a magical experience. We had communicated a minimum of 15 guests with potential for a couple more, and they graciously accommodated 18 guests in total. Unfortunately what was meant to be a lovely night (and it was up until the end) turned into an upsetting experience for us. The party arrived before my mam as it was a surprise, and when we arrived there was no mention of a time limit stay. There was also no mention in the email or communications about this. When we were asked to leave, the wait staff got the security and was very rude and aggressive towards us. We mentioned we weren't notified of this by email, or calls – and showed the security man (Kingsley) the communications pointing out this, Kingsley then, almost slapped the phone away and told us to get out. We moved downstairs while we were waiting for a taxi, and Kingsley again being rude and aggressive told us we cannot wait there either. We explained our great uncle is 80 and we're not waiting out in the cold. He had a dismissive behaviour but let us wait inside. I asked him his name as I wanted to report him for his behaviour, and he wouldn't tell me, I had to go to the bar lady who did tell me his name. The place itself is lovely, and as I said it was a nice night - I just hope management can look into improving communication and ensuring all guests are treated with courtesy in future.

To clear it before I say anything else, the staff are nice and warm- whatever policies they say are the management's doing as the staff don't make those rules. I've noticed all the food options are mid for the price point but the teas are very good. My wife took my daughter who’s eight one weekend and myself and my son who’s six went the following week, we both did the 1 Hour Roped Climbing Taster (€64 for two for one hour).
