From the way Google portrayed this place I thought we’d have a winner but were left short. No oysters 😭 My drink was super strong. My shrimp and grits was missing flavor and were extremely salty. The service was great, our waitress was friendly, fast, and just the right amount of attentive without being overbearing. I had the pot roast stew which was absolutely fantastic and a side order of catfish which was delicious too. The sandwiches were also mind blowing. This was probably the best Chicken Philly I have ever had in my life. The chicken was cooked not in thin shavings which makes it easy for it to come out dry, but instead it was cooked in medium bites, which kept the chicken moist. This paired with the melted mozzarella, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers all on toasted bread made it. My boyfriend enjoyed the muffuletta, and so did I, granted it was a close second to my Chicken Philly. The olive spread on the muffuletta was the best thing about the sandwich, in my opinion. It brought a sense of sweetness to the sandwich which I enjoyed. Overall, I can't wait to go to the Deli again!
