While the raw oysters were served soon after our order was taken, the other 3 dishes literally took 20 minutes each to arrive at our table. So the entire meal felt like we were eating one dish at a time rather than a medley of different flavors that could be combined. It really really took away from the experience. With prices reaching close to fine dining levels, and the amount of food that was actually served, the overall meal ended up being quite disappointing, and I still have an unsatisfied taste in my mouth as I write this review several hours later. I'm sure this restaurant doesn't need our business but I hope this review will better inform other potential diners to the experience that may await.

The menu is simple but broad selection of seafood and even a smash burger on there, that is highly recommended. Ordered the blacked cod, the salt/pepper fries, salmon sandwich and clam chowder. We went with these recommendations per the staff. We were quickly seated at the community table and food wasn’t far behind. The ambiance is very hipster and clean. The blackened cod was one of the best pieces of fish I’ve ever had. The soup was a PNW version of clam chowder, not as thick or heavy as you would expect which was a pleasant change. Salmon was as fresh and refreshing. By the time we finished our meal there was a line of at least 30 people deep. A place that carries a line of this long is well worth it. The line out the door was qn indicator it was going to be good. I ordered the weekend crab roll and their clam chowder, and both were excellent. The crab roll was fresh, buttery, and packed with sweet dungeness crab meat, perfectly balanced with a soft toasted split roll. The chowder was rich and flavorful without being too heavy, full of tender clams and just the right amount of seasoning. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and the staff were friendly and attentive without hovering. We popped in on a holiday weekday and were pleasantly surprised by how efficient they are during a lunch rush. You order and then get seated. They bring out the food to you. We were not very hungry so we had a light meal. We started with the chicken hearts which were very flavorful. This was my first time eating hearts so the texture felt interesting but overall a great dish. We took the halibut from the raw section which was nice. We took the pork ribs from the big grill section which was pretty tasty and would recommend for sure. It’s criminal how bland it is. My hearts not ready to give up on this place and if I have a better experience, I’ll be happy to update this. However, I would love to see some improvement on that while I explore other menu options.

It's lunch time and they claim to have the freshest seafood. Its a seafood retail shop that sells food. But what they sell is pretty fresh, and kinda expensive for what you get. But its rhe location and the experience of eating here. We ordered 6 oysters, dungeness crab (MP), fish (cod) and chips and a bowl of clam chowder. The clam chowder was the standout. Perfect. Not to salty. Not too buttery. Dungeness crab was both expensive and dare I say "not fresh." We steam live dungeness crab during crab season and so I know that this was a dead crab for days/weeks. Oysters were fresh- small but fresh. Fish & chips- the fish/cod was fresh, but small portions. The French fries were soggy-not good. Last comment: Good luck finding a place to sit down. It looked pretty small at first, but the portion is plenty filling and fitting for it's price. It was okayy - not the best, not the worst. I prefer my fries to be at least a bit crispy, but these were quite soggy. The fish was fresh and well cooked, about what you'd typically expect however a bit too plain for my taste. Overall, I visited this place just because it's known for it's seafood & fish n chips. Ordered the sardines toast, frittata and breakfast platter. All delicious and light. Not sure how this guy is doing it but all the food is cooked in an oven- even the eggs. There’s fresh Parmesan on the frittata and the sardine toast was light and not fishy at all. I thought I’d try it since sardines have a lot of calcium but I haven’t ate sardines in years and this place presented them lovely and tasty. Looked like a lot of people share the brunch items. The perfectly roasted tomatoes were delicious on the breakfast platter with the homemade red beans. The breakfast sandwich though didn’t have the cheese melted which is a pet peeve of mine so glad I didn’t order that but my meal was excellent and glad we decided to eat here instead of another overcrowded place across the street.

I also noticed that one of my long-time favorite spots, Eastlake Grill, has been torn down, which made me a bit sad. When I visited, there was road construction around the restaurant, which made parking more of a hassle. Parking itself is a bit tricky.
