Trails can get muddy and slick which is not a surprise. If you are not an experienced hiker, don't do it. Definitely don't do it late or without an experience hiker company. The second time we hiked out I just had to swim under the 400 foot waterfall. Though the round-trip hike is only 8 miles, be prepared for a lot of vertical, as you go up and down as you traverse across the valleys and ridges on your way to Hanakapiai Beach. Still, the overall poolside experience has a lot to offer adults. Across the street is a Wailua Shaved ice, the best, and a Safeway. The location is super central to the Island. The Westshore has a fantastic cycling path, and this location puts you in the middle of it. Oasis on the Beach is a must-book. Next door Kenji Burger can't be missed.

It's easy enough, but was also frustrating if you are kayaking with someone who never kayaked before (teenagers). LOL. With that being said, the river was calm and easy to kayak. The hike was also easy enough, but slippery in spots. There are a few parts where you do need climb rocks. The falls were absolutely stunning. Levi was the most awesomest guide. He is native and shared historical information about some of the sights along the way. He was personable and spent time talking to everyone on the tour. This adventure is something everyone has to do at least once. The confirmation email does note to pack a lunch which we did, but it really wasn't needed. Snacks and water were provided. I do recommend bringing your own refillable water bottle as it's humid in the jungle and you do sweat while both kayaking and hiking.
