The rooms are modern and clean and lovely. The restaurant and bar are wonderful and they have poolside service as well. The pools are great. They have a shallow baby pool and a family pool and an adult only pool and a beautiful large covered hot tub. The front lobby has snacks and drinks you can buy for your room. It is walkable or bikable with provided bikes to town or a very short drive. They even have a lovely spa and shop! We were staying here during the recent Calistoga fire and the staff was so attentive and were great at clearly communicating what the firefighters and sheriffs were communicating regarding evacuations in the area. Although we were not evacuated by a mandate, we did opt to leave in the evening as restaurants in town were closing, and we did not want to get stuck in Calistoga during a mandatory evacuation. The team was so amenable to us departing early and were so understanding and kind. The staff here is extra extraordinary and each, and every one of them went above and beyond to accommodate the guests. I highly recommend staying here!

I walked in and out of the room within 5 minutes. The upgrades into their renovated property (which they call premium) were quoted as 350 bucks extra on top of a 500 price premium already paid. The only good thing was that they refunded the amount without any issues (after I decided not to stay asap) but I still had to cancel my plans and drive back with children and bring an end to the much anticipated trip to experience fall colors. I didn't notice any empathy or accommodations for this inconvenience and disruption.

A group of 7 of us booked many services as a part of my bachelor trip. When we arrived at the spa we quickly realized despite spending collectively thousands of dollars on services, we had to pay to be able to utilize the pool in the “spa garden”. Every time we asked a question, the staff seemed annoyed, including when we needed to use the restroom. When those in the group were not actively getting their services, we spent time in the spa garden. You were required to ring a doorbell to go back inside to where your stuff is in the locker room. You also had to be escorted everywhere. It felt like we were being watched the entire time and they were upset if we did walk somewhere without being escorted. The layout was strange and lacked privacy. The services themselves were very well done, however the mud bath STUNK and seemed like there had to be something they could do to ease the smell. I also wish the massage portion of “the works” package came after the mud bath. Despite the group being at the Spa for my bachelor party, which had been explained several times, no one acknowledged this. It is a shame because I do believe the services were nice, however the bizarre rules and behavior of the staff running the spa was very off putting.

Stayed 3 nights and skipped the 4th night. Multiple nights of very little sleep because neighboring guests dogs. First night dogs barked repeatedly. It was so bad they could be heard ordering food. I mentioned it to them and they didn’t care. Second night was ok and third night was new guests in the same room that had dogs which whined repeatedly. The owners slammed sliding barn doors to the bathroom late at night. Room service on night two, didn’t do anything but, make the bed. Took the towel I left on the floor and hung it up on the shower. No hot water for about 24 hoursz I checked out a day early because of lack of sleep. Was still charged. Caution if you do the free breakfast it doesn’t open until 8AM. Doesn’t do any good to people that need to leave the hotel at 730. So I got to by breakfast twice it day. Second one being off site . The property is not user friendly with gravel paths, dirt gravel parking lot. Signs to find the office are horrendous. Apparently Dr Office is supposed to lead everyone to know that is the guess check. They wouldn’t email my invoice is printed. Nothing like going back in time. Speak if going back in time, several tv channels were still standard definition. Not sure why Marriott wants this to be part of Bonvoy Collection. Highly recommend finding another hotel. Two positive they waived the $100 feel for leaving early and WiFi was tremendous speeds.

This was my first mud bath and I loved it. It felt strange at first, but after a few minutes I settled in and truly enjoyed it. I only wish it had been a little longer. The attendant asked "Ready to get out?" and I guess I should've said no! But I took it to mean it was time to get out. The shower to rinse of the mud was perfect, then the mineral bath would have been lovely except the tub was too long to accommodate a smaller person (5'1") comfortably. It needs some sort of grip mats or something so that it's possible to recline in place even if you're not 7 feet tall. That made it less than relaxing as I could only really sit up in the bath. The massage afterwards was wonderful, it could have been deeper pressure but they charge extra for that. But it was still nice and relaxing. The location is perfect and staff was very kind. I would go back if they figure out the mineral tub situation. The mud bath was magical.

We had requested a queen mattress and, upon looking at the bed, it was clearly a full mattress at best. I took it upon myself to look at the tags for the sheets, and came to discover that the mattress protector was way bigger than the actual mattress itself thus proving it was not the right size for the bed. The concierge tried to convince us that the bed just looked smaller because the room is small (not wrong the room was tiny), but by that logic, if the room was small, wouldn’t the bed look bigger? The mattress was completely sunken in the middle and woke up with aching backs. I would definitely not recommend this hotel, if my life dependent on it. Furthermore, looking around the room, there were serious, dents, scrapes, and poor upkeep of the room by hotel management. At best , this was a five star experience in a Third World country. -10/10

Napa was always at the top of the list to visit. This time though we had our 5 month old son with us for the first time. A little nervous we decided to just do it unsure of how kid friendly it would be. Well Four Seasons Napa you exceeded our expectations! Not only is this property gorgeous, the staff, the food (homemade hot sauce that’s out of this world at TRUSS), the service top notch but they go above an beyond for kids! Greeted with a stuffed animal we then find our room set up with a crib, baby towel (so cute with the logo I need one of these for home), diaper genie and baby soap kit. They have a huge kid pool, a complimentary kids club for 5 years old and up and even a baby attachment for the complimentary bikes! But to top it off I spilled ice cream on my new expensive baby carrier. When I called to ask for stain spray they didn’t have any so they came to our door an dry cleaned the carrier complimentary. Thank you all for doing an amazing job. Shout out to Weston at the Valet and Amanda at the Spa for going the extra mile.

The location is absolutely stunning — it’s surrounded by beautiful hills and has its own vineyard right in front of your terrace or balcony. We loved our room, and the pools were amazing. But unfortunately, the restaurant was a huge disappointment. We had dinner there, and I was honestly surprised that a Four Seasons could have such a poor-quality restaurant. The kids’ hamburgers were burnt to the ground and looked worse than at McDonald’s — though they cost four or five times more, of course. The kids didn’t even touch them. I ordered the chicken as my main dish, but it was way too spicy to eat, and my husband ended up sharing his filet mignon with the kids because it was the only good dish at the table. When I mentioned this to our waiter, he simply said he was sorry — and that was it. We still paid full price and left the gratuity, though I’m not sure why. Overall, the hotel itself is wonderful, but the restaurant was terrible, which was really surprising — usually, the food at Four Seasons is excellent. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. All the amenities were top notch, and we were greeted with a brief tour and history of the property when we arrived that was very nice. The location was great to walk around downtown. Unfortunately though, for the money we paid, I cannot give this place 5 stars, even though they tried to guilt us into it. They ask dietary restrictions for breakfast when you check in but don’t actually take them into consideration when they serve breakfast. I almost sat on a cockroach on my chair at breakfast, and the server just kind of handed me a napkin to squish it with. We also had the problem other people seem to be describing, where we called and emailed multiple times leading up to our stay to hopefully book some vineyards and a massage but after multiple ignored voicemails and emails, we ended up having to book somewhere else. There’s no staff on the property full time, in fact they seemed to try to actively avoid being there as much as possible, which was annoying when they also have signs up that say things like “ask someone from our staff to turn on this fireplace” or when you just need a towel or something. This stunningly beautiful B&B is unlike any place we've ever stayed and is absolutely magical from the moment you drive through the gates! Richard and Dina are the most gracious and kind hosts, you feel like you've made new friends by the time your stay is over. They have done such an amazing job restoring and renovating this property that you can't help but feel like you're at a luxurious French chateau. The attention to detail and design in every room of this property is a 10 out of 10!! They truly take care of everything, every last detail of our stay was perfection. They provide a delicious gourmet breakfast daily that was served in their peaceful outdoor dining area and even checked with us before we arrived to ask if we had any dietary restrictions. The grounds are so pretty as well, and we enjoyed their beautiful pool after a fun day of wine tasting and shopping as well as the cozy fire pit. The location is great as well and is within short walking distance to downtown Calistoga. I can't recommend this place enough and we were so sad to leave! Everything went well during our stay and that’s because of the amazing host, Kurt. When we first arrived, we drove through a bridge and then we were surrounded by planted gardens and fruit trees with a few chairs and tables spaced apart. We called Kurt and he came right away to help us, directed us to a good parking spot, and then showed us around. We arrived around 10:00AM and it was still quiet with only one other couple by the pool. Kurt showed us where the switches for the hot tub jets were, the switch for the sauna, towels, bathroom, water, etc. The rest of the day was extremely relaxing. People slowly trickled in and seemed to hit peak occupancy around 1:00PM. There were beautiful views of the hillside and trees. Everything clean and neat. Plentiful umbrellas for shade. A quiet atmosphere with friendly conversations. There were always lounge chairs to choose from. I loved the layout of the place. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were all spacious and never felt crowded. Around 6:00PM the pool area starts emptying out, and weather quickly gets cooler. I’d recommend bringing a cooler with drinks and snacks to maximize your relaxation time. An amazing place to be and we’ll definitely be back whenever we need to let go of any stress.

Our cold water in the shower did not work so we were unable to shower during our stay. The mattress was an old hard spring mattress, and there were far more decorative pillows than functional pillows which made for poor sleep all weekend. We tried using the outdoor hot tub and the jets wouldn't turn on and the water was too lukewarm to sit and soak in. Our indoor jacuzzi was large and comfortable but the sulfur smell was so strong we were unable to use. I realize it is a hot spring resort and some sulfur smell is expected, but this was too strong to tolerate, especially when we didn't have a functional shower to rinse in afterwards. If you decide to purchase the day pass, if you are not staying at the resort, you have access to 5 different pools of different temperatures and mineral content.
