I did not know there was construction until I checked in, so it was a bit annoying to have to leave the property and walk outside on the sidewalk in order to access 2 of the 3 pools that were open. We started our first morning at the family friendly pool and we had to leave to head to the main pool because there were no waiters to take our order. We waited over 20 minutes and when we arrived to the main pool, there were no waiters there either, so we had to walk to the restaurant and place our order there. However, once the waiters did appear, they were very attentive and friendly. The food, while expensive, was completely worth the price and my favorite part of the trip. The issues I experienced were minor, and I would stay here again, possibly in a bungalow, which is more accessible to the pools.

The room was dirty, it smelled and it was very old. They put newer furniture in there to try and modernized it, but they just put lipstick on a pig...at the end of the day it was still a pig. The walls and ceilings were very thin...we heard the people upstairs from us as if they were in the room with us, the staff walked outside pushing laundry and garbage carts at all hours...we did not once get a good night sleep the entire 3 days. I kept finding bugs walking across the floor...it was just gross. The parking is horrendous and the hotel itself is not clearly marked so finding it at night proved to be quite difficult. They fitness center lacked luster and again isn't was is presented on the website. Please beware before booking here...and if you do, please don't have high expectations based on what you see online...if you don't expect too much, you'll be fine.

Experience started off great with the friendly Deanna at the front desk. We booked through Chase’s “The Edit,” and she thoroughly explained our hotel credits and presented some delicious macarons and sparkling wine. We showed before noon and she still got us straight into our room after upgrading us to a Bungalow. The greenery is breathtaking throughout the courtyard, including their blooming birds of paradise! The Le Labo amenities are a wonderful touch. Very cute aesthetic, feeling nostalgic rather than dated. Great water pressure. Only mild disappointment were the bath towels, nice size but rough and not terribly absorbent. Despite being so near the pool and outdoor walkways, we never noticed any noise or neighbors. Poolside service was attentive and friendly, without being disruptive. Food was delicious as was the dinner service. Bar and wait staff were top-notch, especially Lisette. All in all, the quiet and relaxing day we needed after a jam-packed Palm Springs pride weekend.

We had high hopes for our stay, especially since this was meant to be our honeymoon. We even called and emailed ahead to let the hotel know, hoping for a special touch or at the very least a warm acknowledgment. We were overcharged multiple times during and after our stay, and when we brought it to the staff’s attention, we were assured it would be corrected. Our first night, we were getting into bed when we found dried blood spots on the sheets, we called the front desk and they came to take pictures and brought new bedding, he was apologetic and i understand these things happen. I was most looking forward to our afternoon massage. I love spas and have been to quite a few over the years.. The spa was extremely disappointing, there were no amenities (no steam, no sauna in the spa) the robes were thin and very small, with only one size of slippers. Unfortunately neither of these fit my husband. In the waiting room, there was only room temp water bottles, no tea, no snacks. I booked a 60 minute deep tissue arnica massage. During the treatment my masseuse kept moving around, and like would rub for a minute or two then pause to fiddle around with something, it was distracting. I booked an add on (15 minutes) to have a longer foot massage but she thought it was a scalp treatment, so when it came to that part of the massage, she poured oil on my scalp, I reminded her that I booked an extra foot massage, she said I was wrong, only to admit a couple minutes later that she confused me with another client.. she then went to get supplies, then gave me a foot scrub instead of a longer foot massage, all these mishaps and we still ended exactly on time (75 minutes), I wasn't really sure what to say, straight after the massage you sign the receipt for the charge of service plus 20% tip. On Friday nights they even play a movie in the pool area. The pool also needs some repairs since I noticed many tiles missing or broken along the water line. I would still recommend coming here if the price is right and I would definitely come back to stay. We also booked a couples massage at the Sante Spa which is located at the hotel. Our massage was good and the facility was nice but unfortunately they had no working saunas, so we were slightly disappointed about that. They did give us a card for a couple free cocktails which was nice.

In this room type, the bathroom also had plenty of space with two sinks and a walk-in shower. The tech staff was great in making sure everything was setup and working properly for the workshops. The water stations were nice to have. On Sunday at brunch, there were not enough tables and chairs for everyone that wanted to sit, eat, and hear the closing speech. So, I sat outside to eat with a bunch of others and then we all ended up leaving. There was a dog in the conference room which I don't think was appropriate while people were eating their food. Some of the stairways between floors needed to be vacuumed. The housekeeping staff for the lobby restroom was superior!

Sadly I was working all 6 days I was in Palm Springs, so I didn't get a chance to enjoy the beautiful pool area or the rest of the resort. We got a Garden type room (accessible), it's spacious, the showerplace inside the bathroom is open speace(no door) and no bathtub. The individual workers ranged from outstanding to indifferent, a familiar palm springs blend. But again, few complaints from my partner so well done there. They have parking but it's not guaranteed. I had to park around the corner after getting back at 10 pm on a Saturday then had to schlep my bags half a block during the morning check out. It was a great off season stay, not sure I'd pay what it costs during the season. Oh also they allow kids here, just a heads up because similar spots in this area do not. Came here for a whimsical last minute anniversary get away over labor day weekend. Saw this old property was redone by the Sparrow people. Used to come here back in the day to the old Villa Royale restaurant which was cooky but never considered staying here. The whole space was very lovingly redone and modernized without losing the charm. The rooms are all pretty different, ranging from a whole apartment set up to little motel style rooms. We stayed at a bigger room in the back with a patio. My recommendation is to get the more expensive room if the price difference is reasonable. The free continental breakfast was very respectable and you can walk to Koffi or Elmer's. The common spaces were all very thoughtful and well maintained. The service, amenities and room are sub par relative to other high end hotels and resorts in this area (The Parker, The Kimpton Rowan, even the sister hotel Colony Palms is better), where we have previously stayed. There were a few issues we reported during our stay including our loud AC, equipment panels left in our exterior courtyard, the numbers on our door being broken and at first no phone in the room to only have the phone installed ring at random hours of the night while we were sleeping to no response when we answered. All of this is weird, right? We won't be staying here again but want to warn others and let them know there are better options when getting away to Palm Springs. It's too bad because the grounds are pretty but that's about it.

Unfortunately the experience fell short in several areas and we will likely not be returning. I loved that the property has a restaurant on site, but the dinner food was mediocre and didn’t match the atmosphere or pricing. The room needed a much better cleaning. There were dust bunnies around the bed, visible mold on the bathroom baseboard, a rusted soap tray, and grime in the bathroom cup. The countertop had several chipped areas and the walls looked like they needed fresh paint. Our room phone was broken so we couldn’t call the front desk, restaurant, or room service. We relied on our cell phones instead which worked fine but was disappointing for a resort at this price point. The clock in the room was also broken. The bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable. Both my husband and I woke up with back pain which made it difficult to enjoy our day. Around the pool the lounge chair padding was worn out and visually distressed which took away from the relaxing atmosphere. My husband said he could feel the iron under his body. I responded to the number that texted us during our stay and shared these concerns. The caretaker, Brian, is extremely accommodating and very nice. The rooms are spacious and amazingly original. They have complimentary bikes you can use to pedal around downtown (which only a BLOCK away) or to the Art Museum (only TWO blocks away). Great staff, lovely location. The rooms are a bit "dated" but roomy and very clean. My only reservations are that as a person with mobility issues, the rooms we were assigned required a lot of walking which I cannot do, we had to request (and got lucky) finding a ground-floor room because they have no elevators on the grounds and also, the beds are about 3 feet off the ground so I had great difficulty getting in and out of bed. But for folks with no physical limitations this place is great, and reasonably price because if you include breakfast (versus earning points) you save money -- and they offer a very generous and nice buffet brunch spread.

Room was spacious, the pools are big and heated, especially the main one by the slides. The adult pools were not as cleaned as expected, we also noticed the landscaping around the pools needed some work. Service wasn’t the best, it was hard to find food within the hotel. The main restaurant is overpriced and the Fire Lounge offered a small bites/menu only. Fortunately we found the Chef’s secret window and had good burritos even tho we had to wait 20 min as the server was delivering room service. Also disappointed that they only have breakfast buffet on weekends! For such a big resort I was expecting more staff and more dining options.

They were great from the time we arrived until the time we left. David was exceptional, and made out poolside experience one for the books. It was my son's 6th birthday snd he got him and my 2 year old smoothies to celebrate He also made sure our cabana was close to the waterside so we could keep an eye on my son, who was constantly going down them. Carlos was great at for service at the pool and the other carlos was great for breakfast service. I didn't catch the dinner servers name at the Firestone lounge on Saturday, but she made my 2 year old comfortable by putting 2 of their chairs together and making a "bed" when he fell asleep at the table. The guy working the arcade bar both nights was another amazing person who's name i cant remember. He was very patient and attentive when my kids were being loud and messy. Overall I cant think of anything negative to say, it was outstanding. I would give it 10 stars if I could. My 6 year old is so autistic and he was the best version of himself all weekend. I have never been so happy with him and how he was behaving on any other trip. Also, the lifeguards hard to step in and help both when I wasnt close enough to do something. It was Father's day and the pool was filled with people that appeared not to be resort guests. They had brought in large personal coolers, radios, food, and threw beer cans all over the pool area. The gates were left open so people could freely walk in and out. The staff didn't seem to mind. The deck and cloudy water looked so filthy that we decided not to swim and went to the adult pool where there were at least less beer cans in the skimmer and on the deck than in the family pool. The next day however, it was clean, quiet, and appeared to be back to resort guests only at the pools. The rec room had some issues with broken machines and the slides opened late, but overall the rest of the stay was pretty pleasant so I was glad I didn't have the urge to demand a refund at the front desk for false advertisement anymore. Day 1 of our stay I would've given this resort -3 stars and Day 2&3 I would give it 4. The rooms were nice and the resort ground were well-maintained. Staff was courteous and friendly.
