Biggest con was the front desk staff and service. They just seem to be penny pinching instead of interested in true customer service. We had friends visiting from overseas who got very sick and we needed to go back home to Delhi for them early. We needed to checkout a day early and the hotel would not refund us this last night in these extenuating circumstances! Additionally, I called for a taxi and they quoted me 1900 rupees - to go into town! I immediately got an uber for 200 rupees then they told me I HAD to pay the taxi since he was already there (I cancelled as soon as I got the uber after hearing their quote for a taxi)... ridiculous! I also asked them to fix the AC and turn it on in our room while we were out during the day... they said no, they'd turn it on IF I asked when we got back. It is actually better to stand outside on the main road or even walk to the palace to get nice views than pay 200 Rupees to see a court yard and a shop where they sell commercial products. The palace is beautiful on the outside but not worth the entry fee at all. To all foreign tourists don't bother wasting your time and money on visiting this palace unless you intend to actually stay in the hotel. Don't be fooled either by many posts locals post as many are posting the wrong pictures of other places. You literally get to see the outside of the palace and a court yard. The Museum itself is no better than just watching a documentary on YouTube. The entry fee here particularly for tourists is a total scam. Also they have card machines at entry but advise they don't accept card payments. They only accept cash from foreign tourists. Save your 200 Rupees and visit the Fort. Far better scenery, far better history and more importantly you actually get to see a palace there not unlike the false advertisement on their website. The service at this hotel is beyond amazing. All the way from the check-in process to the hotel and house keeping. We landed early and arrived at the hotel at 9:30 am, the hotel was able to check us in early. There are 2 restaurants on site and both serving a variety of food options. Housekeeping took care of all our additional needs. They have evening shows to keep the guests entertained and restaurants are open till late as well. The hotel itself is elegant, beautiful and decorated tastefully. Our rooms were incredibly comfortable and spacious with a balcony view of the garden we could catch the sunrise from. Whether its lobby entrance, reception, room service, spa service or few restuarant staff. I find the staff were picking the guests for whom they wanted to provide service and not all guests were same for them. I was travelling with baby and in my 3-4 days stay I have requested everyday to multiple staff and even on main desk to not ring the bell of my room (obviously I put DND on door) still everybody is ringing the doorbell. Few of the staff I find not very kind if seeing the mother with a small baby and in other terms as well. My priority was there to take a relaxing massage but they were not having any female staff for the same during my entire stay and main problem was they did not informed us while we were enquiring on the call after checking and upon reaching there they are not accepting the mistake. There are many other things and cant be written here. There were very few staffs who were very kind and courteous but those were very few.I am giving 3-Star for those staff only.While taking the feedback also during checkout, I did not find any effort to understand the problem from the manager and they were really going to do something for that. I had stay in Taj Deccan, Hyderabad and I was very much impressed with their hospitality and hence chose Taj in Jodhpur as well which I am kind of regretting now. I would suggest them to be more kind and soft if seeing the mother with little baby and be more courteous.

We stayed here with family for diwali,the food was so bad and tasteless that we had to order food from outside. There were inconsistencies in the room amenities arrangement. No high tea which is a Taj culture across India. There was a leakage in the bathroom,and it was flooded by the morning when we woke up. As it was Diwali,the staff was busy pleasing the foreigners.. There was just a formality kind of Diwali celebrations.Last year we celebrated Diwali at Taj Ranthambore,Taj Rishikesh,please go see and learn how they treat their guests and their Diwali Celebrations. it looked like the staff was working under compulsion and not their will.The staff at the reception need more training.Most of them seemed new and lost. This is the first time in my life,that my car wasn't washed for 3 days where as in the other Taj's it's washed on a daily basis. Sorry Taj group,this hotel has really lowered the Taj's standards and expectations..We left Jodhpur with a feeling of never wanting to ever come back. The rooms were well maintained The food was very tasty, but we found it a little expensive for the quantity provided. The only small problem we faced was travelling to and from the hotel to different tourist spots as it's on the outskirts of the city and cabs don't get booked easily or if they do they ask to be paid extra.
