My starter, a hallomi salad was good however for me a little drenched with dressing. My main, a slow cooked featherblade dish arrived to table cold so i returned for reheating. On tasting the dish my vegetables, baby potatoes, broccoli and carrots were undercooked, in fact hard and the beef was extremely tough. The main was very disappointing. When we had finished eating the server collecting our plates noted I hadn't finished my main. I told her that the meat was tough and veg were undercooked, she said she would mention to chef. When I paid the bill there was no acknowledgement of my issue which I thought was poor customer service. I didn't want to create a fuss so I paid and left. Would be reluctant to eat there again unfortunately.

It was our first time here and we found staff pleasant and efficient without rushing you. To start, we picked a satisfying bottle of Sangiovese di Puglia at €32. My husband opted for the Garlic bread with cheese and nduja with a smidgin of fresh salad leaves perfectly dressed. I got a few tasty morsels of this and was highly impressed and regretted my choice of the smoked trout millefoglie with carasau bread and stracciatella cheese even though it was very tasty indeed. For mains, though I was tempted with the catch of the day oven baked cod, we both thought pasta the best bet in an Italian and we were not disappointed. I had the pasta with prawns and my husband had the chicken and chorizo pasta. The pasta brought me back to our meals in Italy and was as authentic as I have had. To finish I had the Baileys tiramisu. It was so light and delicious but to be honest I didn't get a hint of Baileys in it. My husband chose the Crunchie cheesecake with crunchie icecream which was creamy, dreamy, flavourful and decadent. This Italian has the portions and pacing of the meal down to a fine art in that by mains we thought we had space for dessert and by the end of dessert, we were at capacity. We both would highly recommend for quality of food, value and atmosphere and hope to return in the future once a babysitter is lined up. Grazie.

I'm so glad we stopped in because man is it delicious! We had a short wait for our table, so I'd recommend making a reservation if possible. I opted to get the seasonal Ube French Toast and my date got the Breakfast Sambo. I was blown away by how good the French toast was and my date and I swapped plates for a bit so I also got to try the Sambo and it was also fantastic. I highly recommend the Sambo if you're in a savory mood and the French toast for a sweeter palate.
