Excellent atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful amazing food. (The best we’ve had). Our waitress was Kelsey and she was absolutely amazing. Fried deviled eggs appetizer was amazing. We both ordered the Sampler that had 5 meats (brisket, pulled pork, jalapeño smoked sausage, chicken quarter, and ribs). This came with a biscuit and 2 sides; I ordered mac n cheese for both sides. Biscuits were FANTASTIC. She got collard greens and loved them! Mac n cheese was average to above average. Now for the less than fantastic. While the taste of the meats were good, seasoned well and smoky, they were dry. Ribs were dry, smoked sausage was cold, dry and tough, brisket was tender but dry, chicken was tasty but again, dry. Last but not least, pulled pork is usually the most forgiving meat in terms of drying out, but the portions we received were not ideal in terms of moistness. We chose Bennetts and we're not disappointed. We shared a Texas sampler that had a chicken leg and thigh which were moist and tasty , a piece of jalapeño sausage which was a tad overdone but good, some sliced brisket which was moist and cut with a fork, pulled pork which was typical and a rib which was chewy on the first bite but tender in the middle. There was a good amount of sauces to choose from. we had the baked sweet potato and baked beans for sides. the potato was cooked perfectly and the beans were nothing spectacular like right out of a can. Our server Alexa was pleasant and very attentive. All in all great choice. we stay down the street when visiting and will put Bennetts to our dining options when returning. Glad we stumbled on it.

The restaurant is exquisite. Like fine dining but casual and comfortable. Tables are arranged perfectly so that you’re not sitting too close to the next one. The appetizers were fantastic! I’m not a big wing fan, but gladly accepted them since they are offered. Best wings ever! I could’ve ate a whole plate full. Perfectly crisp skin, tender chicken, and amazingly flavorful sauce! Meatballs were great. Breads were fresh and delicious, though the flatbread was more like a cracker, it was so good! Salads were made with very fresh lettuces and greens, simply dressed and a great start to the meal. Then we get to the pizza! Holy moly! Every single slice was delicious! Even the simple cheese was over-the-top good! Flavorful, creamy cheese, fresh toppings, quality meats, all fantastic. Loved the Portuguesa which had hard boiled eggs on it, very unusual, but it was actually ones of my favorites! There was also one with finely sliced chunks of ham that was delicious! The dessert pizzas were good, especially the banana. The others were alright, but didn’t wow us like the banana. I personally think the dessert pizzas could use a little improvement and more variety, but it’s certainly not going to stop me from returning! Everything was timed well, and we felt we were given enough time to enjoy each offering before bringing out the next one. My only real “complaint” is that the waitress (who took our order) wasn’t exceptionally friendly or attentive, but the rest of the waitstaff was very friendly and cheerful. Our drinks sat empty a couple times before being noticed by other members of the waitstaff. We werent really clear on how the waitstaff worked…If we were supposed to have just one or if they all worked together, because honestly, the lady who took our order didn’t really do much otherwise. Again, nothing that would prevent me from returning, I’d just hope for more attentive service as far as drink refills next time. Overall, totally worthy of five stars!
