At walking distance from the Leh market this was the perfect hotel for our stay. I stayed for total 6 days (3 days before starting the Ladakh circuit & for 3 days after completing the circuit), never had a chance to complain for anything. Staffs were very friendly. Especially the kitchen staff were really nice. In the kitchen most of the vegetables they used are from their own garden. The owner Mr. Jigmet is also a wonderful person. He was making sure we are enjoying our stay. On the day of arrival he advised us on how to acclimatise with the high altitude and made sure we are doing good during our stay. Was there on October, 2015. This was our first visit to Leh and staying here was one of the best things I and my son could have asked for. While we were a few Indians compared to the bigger number of foreigners in our group, we still felt we were treated pretty well by the Hotel and its staff though a couple of the managers seemed a bit grumpy. But the boys who attended to us, the guides, the drivers, were all wonderful at their job. The restaurant was decent too. I wish they could have offered some hot soups for such a weather but soups were missing from the buffet menu. Rooms were clean and neat. My only gripe was the perfect see-through glass of the bath and toilet room. The glass has a curtain on the inside. However it doesn't provide 100% coverage of the glass "wall'. Wonder what was the idea behind this glass wall. Feeling sick on Day 1, I tried calling the reception at 4:00 AM but there was no one to take the call. These are but few of the gripes but otherwise I would recommend the hotel highly. It is also located within a 10-15 minutes drive from the Leh airport. Heating is also provided (at certain times of the day) which is good enough but I wonder how it would be during the harsh winters. Don't forget to switch on the white heat board plate in the wash room and avoid touching it or throwing water on it. It provides some little heating too.

Even though it was a little bit over our budget, we decided to stay there for a couple of nights because at first glance it looked like it is worth our money. The only thing that we required where hot water - it didn’t mattered for us if its via a room installed boiler or a larger general boiler, we wanted to have a hot shower after our long journey to Leh. The guy at the reception said that there is hot water throughout the day using solar panels and at night we need to ask them to turn on the boiler for us, and it sounded great. At the afternoon we wanted to take a shower, and since there was still daylight - we thought that we will have water. The water was freezing - as if those “solar panels” have never worked. We tried for half an hour to explain to the guys at the hotel that we need hot water, and even though there was a language barrier we didn’t mind. Eventually one of the guys opened the faucet and said “Here, hot water” and the water was once again freezing. So we asked them multiple times to turn on the boiler and they had no clue what are we talking about. Until the manager (the guy from reception) told me on the phone that there is no boiler, never was and that they can bring us a bucket with hot water. Now, I don’t mind to shower with cold water, I don’t mind doing a hot bucket shower - but when I realized that our host is a lier I walked and left. Even though we were at the hotel for about 8 hours, they wanted full price for those 8 hours - 1,500 rupees and the general manager of the hotel, that lives in Delhi, didn’t even mind talking to us. These hotel is ran by a bunch of lying folks that admitted to us once we left that they are instructed to lie to guests. Horrible. Shame on you guys.

Make my trip is not even responding or addressing any of this issue. Please avoid! There are very good Hotels nearby with basic amenities which we had on our couple days of trip start customized by us. This was suggested by Make my trip on our last day of the trip or else it would had been a disaster experience.

I travelled there with some companions and stayed in one of their tree houses; the location of our room was ideal. The service was outstanding, and the accommodations were really nice and cosy. Food - extremely basic. They charged 250 for the most pathetic cold coffee I've ever had. Give me a jug, coffee and spoon, I'll make coffee 1000 times better without mixer. We were getting a good deal on travel websites for two rooms but was unsure about the interconnection of rooms as we had kids. I called the hotel and spoke to Zaid who explained we will need extra bed in one room as rooms are not interconnected, he built a custom package for us including dinner which was a bit more expensive than other website but worth it. Rooms were modern, fairly clean, also had USB port but had some dust on bedsheets and bathroom drain was slow due to dust blocking the drain but housekeeping was able to fix it. Ohh, like most places VIP culture was at play here, there was a family; looks like they knew the owner or senior management as all servers were on their table again and again… their child kept on changing tables every few minutes whenever they got a new food/drink item so it was a bit odd but not a gamechanger for us. We had an issue where our flight was cancelled and I spoke to Zaid again from the airport and came back, the price I was given was not honored as their boss rejected it, once I reached the hotel. We did feel the senior management may be focused on profits versus supporting their booking staff or helping somebody in need who had a flight cancelled. We had no choice but accepted the higher price as our flight was cancelled and we had to make alternative arrangements. Pros: -Nice location, close to airport. -Most of the staff were friendly. -Big kudos to Zaid, Akhlak, Imtiaz and Suhail. They even helped me with the permit application (Imtiaz and Suhail). -Food was very good (bit pricey) -Housekeeping was helpful Cons: -MD taking advantage of a customer stuck due to cancelled flight and raising price that their staff promised the customer. -Dust and drainage issues but housekeeping was nice and would try their best to fix. -VIP culture, difference in customer treatment depending on the friendship with seniors or owner. -Random calls by hotel staff at 5:30-6am or 10pm was bothersome (bell-boy called on the checkout day very early, reception called to check if everything was ok, restaurant called late at night to confirm we didn’t want to order anything) Instead of 4 stars, I am giving 5 stars because of the service from the staff (names that I mentioned above) - I do recommend this hotel!

The service is very professional and down to earth. When the manager came to know that I'm from Bangalore he tried to speak with me in Kannada out of his past experience of being in Mysore. Such small gestures filled my heart. Restaurant staff, Front Desk Managers & House Keeping everyone acted so humble and their service was to the point. They have a big restaurant in the ground floor and I had Breakfast & Dinner here. The quality of food was really good and the quantity was adequate. They have an outdoor lawn kind of sit out area right next to the reception, an lounge setup on both ground and first floor. Which serves as a high tea table as well as a good spot to read books. They have a decent parking space behind the hotel. They accept both UPI & Cards as part of digital payment. Location is kind of isolated, but I liked the quite time in here.
