The interior is a bit upscale and provides an intimate setting while not being stodgy. The staff was friendly and I was served quite quickly. For entrées we had the Mole of the day (beef), the Papadzules, the Cochinita Pibil and the Tacos the Lengua. All of them were incredible, but my favourite was the Papadzules! The first night we had the Frijol Colado as a shared starter, which was incredible. For dessert we had the Mexican Tiramisu and it was just fantastic! They also had some really nice cocktails. The first night we booked a table on the patio since everything inside was fully booked, but we loved the atmosphere outside. A little secluded, some lovely lighting and artwork. The following evening the patio was fully booked, but when we arrived we were able to get a table on the patio anyways! I was hoping to have a go on the arcades, but by the time I'd finished eating (9pm or so) the place was empty and I think they were getting ready to close so didn't want to be that last person to be kicked out. The waitress did mention they use tokens and I think $5 got you 20 tokens. The bill came to $16 which was decent enough price. Maybe I just got a bad day, but the waiting was too much really so I wouldn't return.

Thankfully the food is not as bland as their service. (Lack of personality and attention to detail) I’ve given this location a couple chances hoping they’d redeem themselves but it gets worse every time. Today, we inconvenienced their staff by distracting them from their cell phones to take our order. The young lady taking the order was not happy to be dealing with customers or answer questions. She was condescending and simply not interested in our business although they seemed to have been having a slow morning. They were out of stock on basic drinks but didn’t notify us until after we paid and only included the bare minimum with their dishes. For example our Tres Leches Pancakes were not only almost forgotten but she slapped a couple strawberries and tossed them on the counter when I reminded her of them. They were served plain so you have to ask for the actual Tres Leches. For the real experience, full menu at better rates visit the Frankfort Ave location or any others.

The food was so delicious and packed with flavor. Probably my favorite guacamole in the city and DEFINITELY my favorite mole sauce! The owners are so sweet and go above and beyond with their service.
