Epitome of customer engagement. Joshiji is exceptionally pleasant and jovial person and it's a delight to talk to him. He knows his regular customers and new comers/tourists and is more than happy to entertain the new folks. The Dahi bada is so tasty, fluffy and with their dahi and masala mix soaked up, it's melt in your mouth experience. Totally worth the visit to Sarafa bazaar and waiting in Queue. Joshi dahi bada house is very old & famous place in Indore for its speciality in dahi vada/ bada. This is very simple place in hearts of city at Sarafa Lane. This is open in the day time. They sell ultra delicious dahi vada. Price of dishes available here is also reasonable. I have tried Corn shred with masala called as bhutte ka khis and mirchi vada. Both dishes was also very good in taste. Definitely must try place. Parking is not available just opposite to this outlet because this is situated in main market place. Thanks 😊

I tried Vijay Chaat House during my visit to Sarafa, and it was a great experience overall! The Khopra Patties were a standout — something unique and absolutely delicious. The Kachori, Fried Khaman, and Kesar Rabdi were all quite good and lived up to the local hype. Upon arrival, we were given card keys and directed to a room, only to find that the door opened to someone else’s room, which was alarming and unacceptable. The staff eventually assisted us and clarified that it was not our assigned room, but this caused considerable confusion and discomfort. After being relocated to our correct rooms, we faced further issues:
• There was no running water in the washroom, which made basic amenities inaccessible.
• The room’s electricity failed three times, disrupting our comfort.
• Essential items such as cotton buds, disposable slippers, and an ironing board (despite an iron being provided) were missing.
• We were given only one card key per room, and one of the card keys was not working. Additionally, the electricity card required to power the room was missing, which is highly unusual for a five-star hotel.
• During the room handover at reception, we were assured everything was in order, but this was clearly not the case.
• Our room service order was incomplete, with rice forgotten and only the main dish served.
These issues persisted throughout our stay, and given the hotel’s five-star rating, we are deeply disappointed with the overall experience. We expected a seamless and comfortable stay, but the cumulative effect of these problems fell far short of our expectations.

We visited the place on 8th April and ordered Dosa, Chole Bhature and Coffee, for the food they said it will take 20 minutes which actually took 55 minutes, coffee was the bigest surprise as it took 30 minutes to give coffee even after asking for 3 time. Went here for a quick Sunday breakfast on my short visit to Indore. It was quite busy at 10 in the morning. We had the standard breakfast items here. The poha jalebi was superb. The cafe is located in a little inner part form the highway, though the cafe is silent during the day time, unless kids from nearby college come there.
I being not native to this place, found this cafe quite reasonable, 3 cups of coffee and a sandwich costed me Rs. 560. However the staff was quite polite and supportive (Thanks Harsh, Suraj & the lady). I appreciate them for allowing me to work form the cafe and use my laptop.

We had gone for some shopping and while going back, we saw this small yet well lit food outlet and decided to grab a bite. My wife just loves vada pav and they had various options. The outlet is operated by an elderly couple with roots in Maharashtra but have stayed all their lives in Indore.
There were some plastic stools just outside the outlet. The outlet was clean and well-organized. My wife ordered for plain vada pav and I went for butter vada pav followed by misal pav.
The taste was incredible and vadas tasted fresh. The charges were competitive. We got misal packed as the quantity was huge. Uncle packed it readily for us and gave some mirchis complimentary. Auntie was making vadas all silently.
They also keep frozen food and cater to parties and gatherings taking bulk orders for vada pav and misal pav.
Parking is not such a big issue and one may park vehicle by the broad roadside.
One visit for great taste will be a tasteful idea.
