We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel and ended up checking out after just one night — primarily due to the rude and unprofessional behaviour of the manager, Rupesh. The suite room was far from comfortable. The mattress felt hard and rocky, and the light-colored curtains did nothing to block the outside light, making it nearly impossible to get any sleep. We were given a room on the third floor, which was unbearably hot — more like a furnace than a hotel room — and to make things worse, the pedestral fan was broken. The mini-freezer wasn’t functioning properly either, and it was hardly 45 cm in size, definitely not what you’d expect in a suite. Shockingly, they didn’t even provide basic toiletries like soap. The only redeeming factor was the location, right on Mall Road, but even that couldn’t make up for the overall poor experience. In short, we do not recommend staying at Hotel Lingzi. There are far better options in Leh where you’ll actually feel welcome.

The room is very spacious, the dining room is good with a selection. There is an excellent gazebo on the roof which allows you to sit outside with a panoramic view of the mountains and the children can run and play in safety. The rooms are spacious,tidy and they provide electric kettle to heat water. The staff is very helpful. They greeted us with buddhist scarfs and provided complimentary tea/ coffee. They also provided us with free complementary breakfast, though our package did not include that. They tried their level best to give the best service. Two things which I didn't like- the faucet was leaking water and they don't provide bottled water as complimentary. They don't have a water filter so better to buy bottled water from the market and drink those.

Otherwise it’s a very poor hotel with bad beds and infra. Our washroom on first floor had boiling hot water coming in from all taps that we couldn’t touch . Then had to call reception and they gave some weird reason that adjacent room must have turned on their hot water. They told to run all taps for 20 minutes and waste water to wait for normal water to come in. It still didn’t fix the issue. In morning, there was no water coming inside any of our washroom taps, called reception and they took 15 minutes to fix it. But we had to leave for an early flight. The suite rooms are hot as hell all the time because they are on the last floor and soak in all sunlight heat in daytime. We had a bad experience none of our 5 family members could sleep well on their beds or poorly ventilated rooms. But staff was good and kind.

Even though it was a little bit over our budget, we decided to stay there for a couple of nights because at first glance it looked like it is worth our money. The guy at the reception said that there is hot water throughout the day using solar panels and at night we need to ask them to turn on the boiler for us, and it sounded great. At the afternoon we wanted to take a shower, and since there was still daylight - we thought that we will have water. The water was freezing - as if those “solar panels” have never worked. We tried for half an hour to explain to the guys at the hotel that we need hot water, and even though there was a language barrier we didn’t mind. Eventually one of the guys opened the faucet and said “Here, hot water” and the water was once again freezing. So we asked them multiple times to turn on the boiler and they had no clue what are we talking about. Until the manager (the guy from reception) told me on the phone that there is no boiler, never was and that they can bring us a bucket with hot water. Now, I don’t mind to shower with cold water, I don’t mind doing a hot bucket shower - but when I realized that our host is a lier I walked and left. Even though we were at the hotel for about 8 hours, they wanted full price for those 8 hours - 1,500 rupees and the general manager of the hotel, that lives in Delhi, didn’t even mind talking to us. These hotel is ran by a bunch of lying folks that admitted to us once we left that they are instructed to lie to guests. Horrible. Shame on you guys.

Staff was very rude, even Manager did not seen concerned. The stay here will ruin your trip. Breakfast was bad too. Not even available on time. We had our connecting flight and the breakfast timing was 8 am and it was not even ready till 8.30 am. Staff were not even SORRY about anything here. Make my trip is not even responding or addressing any of this issue. Please avoid! There are very good Hotels nearby with basic amenities which we had on our couple days of trip start customized by us. This was suggested by Make my trip on our last day of the trip or else it would had been a disaster experience.

I travelled there with some companions and stayed in one of their tree houses; the location of our room was ideal. The service was outstanding, and the accommodations were really nice and cosy. It was a relief to walk in such a quiet and tranquil setting, and the view was stunning. Of course, you would also adore the delectable food they offer.The chefs, kitchen managers, room service workers, and receptionists all go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is comfortable. The photos posted everywhere is of the new block and not the old one. The rooms in new block are better but old block look like a lodge and the rooms are not so well kept. At walking distance from the Leh market this was the perfect hotel for our stay. Especially the kitchen staff were really nice. In the kitchen most of the vegetables they used are from their own garden. The owner Mr. Jigmet is also a wonderful person. He was making sure we are enjoying our stay. On the day of arrival he advised us on how to acclimatise with the high altitude and made sure we are doing good during our stay. Padma, the owner, was honestly incredible. She helped us booking taxis, she was very helpful when we were not feeling well, she was always available when we needed something. Last year we were 17 people and this year we were a group of 10. Both times on arrival we received tea and snacks. Rooms are comfortable and clean. With soap and toilet paper and a clean towel. It is a nice location and doesn't take too long to get to town, 15 minute walk. Javed and Rama helped us organise taxi's for teachings and trips. They helped us get permits and made it very easy by collecting passports and dropping permits back with passports to the hotel. This year one person from the group struggled with the altitude and they organised for some oxygen to be delivered. Throughout they were accommodating and allowed us use of their kitchen to make tea and eggs. We left a healthy tip as we are aware that they make money from their restaurant menu. They delivered boxes of water to the room and room service when we were tired. We also ordered food from their menu and they made it less spicy for the group. The day before departure they made us a leaving lunch to thank us for staying with them again. It was absolutely delicious. We really appreciate their kind hospitality. Stayed in a female dormitory and was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and bathroom and loved the coziness of my bunk bed. The staff are so kind and helpful and feel more like friends rather than business people. There are tea and coffee facilities available for free that all are encouraged to use. There is a washing machine available at a cheap rate and a large closed in yard where you can hang out your clothes. All in all, it feels like the staff want you to have a good time and aren’t just trying to take as much money as possible, as is the feel in many other Indian hostels. The entrance to the hostel may be off-putting to some at first, with the grimy floor of the restaurant out the front blackening the carpeted entrance to the hostel, but the common room itself and the dorms are clean. Some guests were smoking in the common room at times which was not a vibe, but this was rare. The restaurant serves up some excellent food! We recommend the thali, palak paneer (available on request), shakshuka (made by the owner himself), and non-veg curries. Burgers also looked well-made but we didn’t try them. The rooms are cleaned between guests. For hot water you need to have a shower during the day, as it is only solar heated. The area is temperate so you won’t need AC, which is not provided. Fans are sufficient. The roof in one of the rooms we were staying had paint that was peeling off so we had to move the bed but the staff are super approachable. We were in a situation where we were stuck in Leh due to natural disasters and the staff were so accommodating for us, given our uncertain plans.

Given the high number of hotels in Leh, we were a bit overwhelmed when deciding where to stay. We were glad we chose Ladakh Greens and would come back again. Highly recommended! One little recommendation from my side is to install screens against insects on the windows, as there are a lot of insects (little flies, nothing to worry about; however, there are a lot of them lying on the floor) coming in.

It is located away from the usual traffic hustle of Leh yet it is walking distance from the main market(through a shortcut). The rooms are spacious and cozy with beautiful views of the surroundings. The hosts stay on the ground floor and are lovely people to talk to. We stayed here of 4 months(Dec-Mar 2022), basically the entire harsh winter season of Ladakh and uncle aunty made sure that your stay was comfortable and memorable. I would highly recommend this place. WiFi available Food is delicious
