The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. They brought out some of the homemade hot sauce that complimented the chicken very well. I subbed the collards for the breakfast potatoes which were a mix of sweet and regular potatoes. They could have been a bit crispier, but the flavor was nice. The chicken fried steak was thin and had a great crunch to it. The gravy was savory and a perfect texture. The fried eggs were seasoned well and it came with the same potatoes as the other dish. The service was excellent, very attentive and kind. They ask about allergies before you order which I thought was an excellent touch. The food was expensive but worth it for the excellent flavors!

Karen our waitress (ironic name given the circumstances) was phenomenal. Firstly the free valet parking was a nice touch and a great coincidence for the occasion. As I arrived earlier I noted that the cheery hostess took my coat and put it away and handed me a redemption ticket (very nice). As I got seated Karen came over and introduced herself, placing a hand drawn happy anniversary card for us on the table which was great! After I explained the situation to her Karen was gracious enough to play along and I had her take the jewelry I bought my wife and tuck it away so she could bring it out later when I signaled. As my wife arrived with our boys I noted the exceptional kids menu set for my oldest and the awesome coloring activities they had including the premium crayola crayons they provided as well. We haven’t even gotten to order the food and this place already blew us away. We ordered the food and all of it was to DIE for! Karen comped our Champagne for us, put on a great show for delivering the jewelry and even the desert at the end came with a nice little sparkler stick trick. Throughout the night she was wholly attentive and aware of our needs even while managing the other tables. The food was absolutely 5-Star quality and the decision to put the chefs names on the menu was an appreciated touch. An unpounded pork chop (Milanese should be thin), breaded and fried, on top of an aioli, with this handful of shishito peppers (with the stems) on top of it. Just didn’t make sense, had to ask for a side plate to get to the pork. Just put them on the side. And on top of it was this lemon caked in Cajun spices (yes as advertised) but just strange and a ton of Cajun spice on a lemon, like a chunk of it). So weird. Not that any of it was terrible, but it just was odd and out of place. Like someone was trying to hard to think of trendy food and mashed it all together into some dishes. We tried to love it. We gave it multiple chances, even after a disastrous New Year’s Eve dinner a few years ago, but we don’t need to try again. I can’t understand why people think this place is so great. I've been here on several occasions trying everything from their wood fired pizzas, salads, and on this visit I had their chicken cutlet entree which was really good! I definitely recommend making a reservation. One odd thing I noticed this dining experience that never showed up before was an automated gratuity charge for only two people. It was fine since the service was great but if they continue to do that for any size table not just groups it really should be mentioned when the bill is presented. Positive was the chopped steak sandwich, the bread was fresh and steak was delicious. The shrimp appetizer was very good. The tables at The Little Club are little if you're not at a booth, but also large enough that our party of four could share a few plates of appetizers and beverages with erything on one table, lol. I truly, really, honestly appreciate the small lamps on the table. We could all easily read our menus. Most places have those votive candles, which really only provide ambiance more than assistance. I think I'm gonna add a 1/4 star for any place that is considerate or logical enough to have these lamps, lol. Alright, onto the food my dude. I don't drink alcohol so it's usually difficult to find a good drink without booze. I asked for the waitress to have the bartender create something from nothing. What they came up with was refreshing, fruity, & I had two, lol. The appetizers we had were more then meets the eye. I mean, the presentation was beautiful, but they looked like "that's not gonna be enough" but, the amount of flavor and love inside each one was crazy gracious. The Potato latkes were my favorite indeed. You'll see the Sicilian Anchovies pictured, and the butter, olive oil, and Anchovies were a great choice for my palate. For the main, I had the poached Halibut and Van Damn it was soft & buttery. The charred cabbage was so good I forgot it was cabbage and the kohlrabi just balanced the every bite like salt does pepper (and vise versa). My cousin had the lamb meatball bomber and was silent for the 5 minutes it took him to scarf it down. I must let you know that it's a sandwich and not jus the meatballs. In conclusion, dinner was crazy delicious. Did I miss anything? Maybe you should visit and find out yourself. Oh yeh, the bathrooms are very well maintained and amply stocked. It's a good concept, to have a quick grab Mexican food and cold cocktail like margaritas and daiquiris waterside. The view is nice looking across the water at River works too. I didn't care for all the uneven surfaces ( fake grass carpeting) and plastic Adirondack chairs ( of which many are broken). A few simple up- grades along with permanent restrooms would be appreciated. Food was tasty and served pretty quick. it's a nice stop to hang out for a bit or meet up with some friends. Sublime creations come out of their shakers. The ambiance is delightful and a bit aggressively whimsical. They were very accommodating to adjusting to 1 more person being added to my reservation 1 hour before I was due to be there, our waitress was very nice and attentive and talkative. We started out with cocktails one is pictured here called the dapper boy. The cocktails were delicious they are unique and masterly mixed and it was nice to see them made in front of you. The restaurant is very small and snug so the bar can be viewed from any point of seating. For food we started with 2 appetizers the Burrata and a kale salad. The burrata was good however I believe they mixed a different type of cheese in it such a parm so for me personally it's not what I was looking for. The salad on the other hand was amazing perfectly dressed salad with a lot of texture and flavors. Next on to the entrees my mother ordered a rigatoni dish that generally has a red sauce with sausage my mom asked if the sausage could be omitted and she was told yes. I ordered a white cheese and mushroom pizza and my brother ordered a caprese pizza. Our orders arrived, my mothers was just rigatoni with white beans some fresh parm and in some sort of broth, she said it was good I didn't taste but from what I saw I wasn't overly impressed. The pizzas were bland and boring, the only flavor in mine came from the mushrooms and the dough was lacking in texture and quality. My brothers pizza looked decent and he stated it was good as well. They only offered 1 dessert and they don't serve coffee so we were done after dinner. I would most certainly return here for drinks the ambience and perhaps that salad, but I would like to see them revamp the pizza quality I think that would improve the menu so much, as pizzas are a big part of Their menu.

Ten minutes later (after telling her we were still waiting on our drinks), our drinks finally arrived, but by that point, our patience had worn thin. Honestly the one star drop is purely for pricing. I understand upscale/elevated experiences, but $17 for fried bologna as a small plate just seems kind of crazy, haha. (I didn't try it, to be fair so it could be worth it). In terms of the drinks and the quality of the cocktails, hands-down some the best I’ve had in town. Big points for the Zombie, which is a delicious overproof cocktail. I also tried to chocolate mousse desert which was tasty in it's own right. I’ve been want to check out this place since it opened and was able to do so my birthday and definitely recommend being somewhere to check out at least once.
