The food is great but pretty expensive for a dive bar. If you go, get the wings, Greek burger, and gumbo. The service is hit or miss. The beans have a really nice unique flavor I couldn't put my finger on, but very good. I eat the first piece (a drumstick) and it was not what I was expecting as far as flavor but I will say I could tell it came right out the fryer but it fell flat for seasoned meat. You could tell they don’t brine it (again not what I expected based on reviews but not a big deal), I just asked for some hot sauce to add a little kick. I go to eat my other piece (a thigh) and I see a hair in the smother on the side of the chicken, I remove it and then I notice another long piece of hair and it was like embedded in the chicken, I had to cut the chicken to see how long it was. I was mortified. I got the waitress and told her what I found. I tried to be discreet as well. They offered no apology nothing. When I went to check out again no apology, I actually was met with a bit of an attitude. They charged me for a vegetable plate which was technically and overcharge because I didn’t eat the cornbread (it was on my plate) and only ate the (2) veggies I had ordered as sides which were in separate bowls. My expectation was to at minimum get an apology. Needless to say I will not be returning and they need to require hairnets be worn for food prep and cook staff.

The portions are small and so I recommend you select an appetizer as well as the entree. They may have a children's menu but we did not need nor ask for one. The sandwiches were also mind blowing. This was probably the best Chicken Philly I have ever had in my life. The chicken was cooked not in thin shavings which makes it easy for it to come out dry, but instead it was cooked in medium bites, which kept the chicken moist. This paired with the melted mozzarella, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers all on toasted bread made it. My boyfriend enjoyed the muffuletta, and so did I, granted it was a close second to my Chicken Philly. The olive spread on the muffuletta was the best thing about the sandwich, in my opinion. It brought a sense of sweetness to the sandwich which I enjoyed. Overall, I can't wait to go to the Deli again!

The shrimp po’ boy was fresh and flavorful with plenty of shrimp, crisp lettuce, tomatoes, and a good drizzle of sauce. The fries were hot and seasoned well, though a little on the soft side. I was excited because I heard good things. I got a seafood boil,kool-aid and Strawberry short cake. The kool-aid was the best thing I had. The seafood was overcooked to the point I couldn't eat it. I told her I want to place an order for a fish sandwich and she said we don’t have fish sandwich, but she didn’t let that stop her from asking the cook, so he said we don’t have fish sandwich, now when I say an employee going to another level just to take care of a customer, I say this young cook went above and beyond for a customer.
